*Orcas*

A particularly fierce storm caused the stranding of two orcas during the night. One was White Surf, a young orca, and her distant uncle Kennip.

Eighteen other orcas remained in the bay, anxious and fretful about their loved ones who were stranded on the rocky beach. The rest of the pod was out of the bay hunting. A few orcas would glide as close as they could to shore, but there was no way for them to help.

Sanoki, the matriarch of the pod, gave a loud whistling-cry, calling for Tornado and his pack. She didn't know if they could help, but she was desperate to try anything to save her grandson Kennip and her great-great-grandaughter, White Surf.

Tornado

It didn't take long for the alpha of the Parnassian Meadows to reach the scene. He padded cautiously over to White Surf, not recognizing the orca. He had yet to meet most of the pod. Pulling back one ear in distress, he padded past the stranded orcas and over to the shore, "Sanoki! What happened? Was it the humans?" He called out in question. He knew the two needed help, but he wasn't sure about what to do. He waited for his pack to show up.

Twister

The wolf tredded carefully over the rocks as he followed after his brother's swift pace. He approached the two stranded orcas with his head dipped down a bit. "We heard you calling; what do you need?" He noted how large the orcas were, now that he could see them most of the way out of the water. But Twister didn't know enough about them to realize that they couldn't move once on land. He also didn't know how dangerous it was for such a large mammal to be beached.

Winters Night

She quickly entered after them. "Oh no they are stranded on land!" She quickly spoke seeing both orcas on the beach.

Sanoki, Kennip, & White Surf

Sanoki gave a small nod, "Yes, they both got stranded late in the night after a storm! Is there anyway you can help?" she asked in a pleading voice.

Kennip released his breath heavily, sending up a cloud of vapor from his blow-hole. The rocks on the beach had begun to cut into his skin now and turned the shallow water below him crimson. "Please help... it's so hard to breath!" he said in a strained voice while looking to the wolves with his large eyes.

White Surf was a little better off only because she was younger. She didn't have so much weight pressing down on her lungs or on the rocks. Still, she would sufficate in time if she didn't get back into the water. Giving a hefty breath like her uncle, she looked from wolf to wolf. Panic was painfully easy to see in her eyes, but she didn't speak.

Winters Night

She wasnt sure. She ran over to the rocks trying not to cut her paws and she tried to push against White Surf first for she was smaller. "Alittle help please?" She asks the pack.

Tornado

Tornado quickly ran over to White Surf. Bracing his shoulder against her rubbery skin, he strained all his muscels as he pushed against her. "Twister!" he barked once, sharply. He knew his brother would help, but he felt like getting his attenion anyway.

Twister

He hurried over to the younger orca and did like his brother and Winters Night. He threw all of his strength against the large mammal. For all their emense size and strength, it seemed so strange to Twister that they were utterly helpless on land.

White Surf & Kennip

White Surf thrashed her tail, trying to help move herself. Not relising it, she was posing a danger to the wolves now, because even for her smaller size, her tail could deliver a painful blow. Unfortunately, she wasn't laying parallel with the shore, so pushing against her side wouldn't get her any closer to the water. She was small enough that their efforts moved her a little, but not like any of them had planned. She fell over onto her side now so that her dorsal fin scraped against the rocks. There was a shallow bit of water under her, although not nearly enough for her to move in. Now it just reached her blow-hole. Frantic, the young orca began to thrash her tail more wildly and struggle so much that her side got all cut up by the rocks.

Kennip became quite stressed out by this and also thrashed his tail in a hopeless attempt to move. It got him nothing but more cuts.

Winters Night

"Stop thrashing your tails. We cant help you if we get knocked out by them." Winters Night warned. She then swam to White Surf's side and tryed pushing her once more.

Aliyyah

The alphess of Parnassian Meadows ran over and tried to help push the White Surf, but stopped when she started thrashing. "Don't you'll just cut yourself more!" She said to them in a pleading voice....

Tornado

Tornado sprung out of the way of the tail. Now things had just gotten worse. "Please, try to calm down! We'll do all we can to help you!" He said in a stern voice, but was begining to doubt their ability to help these two. If they were having this much trouble with White Surf, how in the world would they deal with Kennip? None the less, the alpha tried to push against the young orca's other side to help her get back up so her blow hole was in the water.

White Surf & Kennip

White Surf was utterly terried by what was going on, and took a moment before she calmed down again. She struggle a moment to draw her head up slightly so she could take another breath. A spout of vapor was blown out against the wolves on her side. Despite their efforts, the wolves' fur slipped over the orca's rubbery skin when they tried to push her upright. Since she was laying on her side, the was really no where for them to push against to get her upright again. The water turned a dark crimson under the young orca.

Kennip stopped struggling and let his tail relax against the rocks once more. His back was begining to dry out, but there was nothing he could do for that. A few sea gulls began to circle around and land nearby. A beached whale could mean a feast to them later.

Winters Night

She saw Kennip drying out so she ran over and splashed trying to keep him wet. I have an idea but its a very risky one. Some humans are good and were protesting when the evil humans tried to hurt the orcas so mabey we could get humans to help but it would be a grave risk to take but if we dont hurry Kennip and White Surf could be seagull chow." She said as she splashed.

Twister

Twister wasn't as fearful of humans as the others, since he had lived with them for the first part of his life. "I could run Down Town and get peoples' attention. Some humans there knew me, so I doubt they'd attack." he offered, but waited for approval.

Winters Night

She looks to Tornado and Alliya waiting to see what theyd say to Twisters offer.

Aliyyah

She listend to them and finally nodded, but then she looked to her mate, he had the last say in what would happen...

Tornado

He was hesitant, mainly for his brother's safety. But seeing his mate had approved, he did as well, "Hurry then, and howl if you need any help. I'd like the rest of us to go, but I'm afraid we'd all just cause a comotion." Tornado began to splash water on the orcas, since there wasn't much else for him to do.

Aliyyah

She splashed water on the orca's as well, trying to get as much water on them as she could....

Twister

He nods and races off to Down Town.

Twister

The wolf sprinted in, stopping now and then to make sure the humans were following. He made his way to the beach where two orcas were stranded. "I got some humans to follow me." he announced to his pack and looked back to make sure they did indeed follow. "They didn't seem mean, so I hope they'll help."

Winters Night

She nods. "Good." She says happily and continues to splash. "If they try to hurt the whales though they shall die at my fangs." She speaks quickly.

*humans*

*5 naturalist followed twister. seeing the orcas one pulled out a cell phone and called their work place. more people would arive soon. the ytalked to each other and split up. some headed to the orcas and some went for the water. they tok water in their hands and tossed it. they would need buckets though. some water hit both orcas skin. some lucky droplets made it to their heads. the other humans checked the orcas ver exaniming for any bad injuries.*

*two trucks appear driving off road. they each have a marine animal lift to lift them back into the water. a crane appears after them to lift the orcas up.*

Aliyyah

She looked at the humans closely, and when they came over she backed away a bit...

White Surf & Kennip

White Surf was rather intimidated by the crane, but she remained calm and let the humans help her. So did Kennip.

The orcas in the bay lifted their heads above the water now and then to see what was going on as the spoke amongsts themselves and to their stranded friends.

Tornado

He paced around a distance from the humans. He was alarmed by the large things they brought. But as long as the orcas didn't mind the humans helping, Tornado would stand back. But the instant they needed help, Tornado wouldn't hesitate to kill the humans.

Aliyyah

She padded over to Tornado and sat down next to him, she would help kill the humans if they tried to hurt the orcas as well....

Humans + equipment

*grabbing some buckets some humans went to work getting the orcas skin wet so they didn't dry out. other humans came over and they looked pretty strong. they split up to about 20 to each orca. it seemed more humans had coem to help. they got out the equipment and walked over to the orcas. taking no miniutes rest they started to push a orca to its side to get the lifter under her.they went to the other side and got it under. getting the straps up the crane came over and they hooked it up. some had signals were given and the crane started to go up.*

White Surf & Kennip

The orcas were perfectly fine until the cranes started to lift them up into the air. It was one thing to be on land, but to be hoisted into the air! White Surf began to panic and again thrash her tail and head about.

Kennip whistled out and made other orca noises to express his clear distress over being lifted up into the air. But he was about to restrain himself from thrashing about.

Twister

Twister watched the orcas with an urgent gaze. He had no idea whether the humans were helping or not, but he didn't like the looks of the large cranes and the presence of so many humans. "Are you two alright?" he howled out to White Surf and Kennip. He was a good distance from them, so howling would be the easiest way to communicate with them.

Tornado

His fur bristled slightly as he spoke anxiously to his mate, "I don't like the looks of those big things the humans are using." he said, speaking of the cranes. Then he howled out to White Surf and Kennip as well, "If they hurt you, just tell us! We'll deal with them."

Humans + equipment

*the crane moved for ward holding out from the orcas thrashing. moving the orcas over the water they started to lower.in the water deepest it could reach . it lowered right obove the water and released slowly sliding the orcas back into the water. the humans that had helped whooped with excitment glad they had helped the orcas and packed up and left.*

Aliyyah

She nodded. As soon as the humans had left she ran over to a rock at the water, "Are you ok?" she asked the orcas..

WInters Night

She had watched and made sure the orcas werent harmed by the humans but insted helped. She ran to the water also waiting for their reply.

*Orcas*

White Surf glided into deeper waters after being released, then turned and made her way closer to the wolves again. Kennip rested where they had released him. The rest of the pod came over to make sure all was well.

Sanoki, along with White Surf, spoke to the wolves, "Thank you for your help! Humans are so hard to judge... if they had been up to mischeifm we could have done nothing to stop them without you here! If you ever need anything we can help you with, don't hesitate to ask." she said sincerely, although the offer had been stated before in the past.

Tornado

He was happy to see them back in the water. "I'm glad everything worked well. It's funny how humans are... sometimes they go out of their way to help, and sometimes they go out of their way to hurt." he sighed, wishing he understood why humans did what they did. The thought of his pups came to mind then, and he looked to his mate, "Should we get back to the pups now? I hope they weren't too much trouble for Nightcrawler to watch." he pointed out.

Aliyyah

She smiled at the orcas, "no problem" she said kindly. Then she turned to Tornado, "yes, I think we should, poor NightCrawler" she said with a little giggle. "We left him with 6 pups" she said with a smile..

Winters Night

She smiles and nods with aggreement. "Your welcome." She says to the orcas and then looks to her alphas. "Yeh good idea." She says with a laugh and runs off to the terrain.

Tornado

He grinned and ran off as well to check on the pups.

Aliyyah

She smiled and ran after them...

Twister

He followed after at a leisurely pace. He paused once to look back at the orcas and say his good-byes to them before heading for the Parnassian Meadows.
