Leo

Leo was here with Sunholder. He had tied the equine to a tree to graze. Than he came to the Bay's edge his camrea out. Raising the camrea he took a picture of a whale sprouting out of the water among a few others. Leo wasn't really paying attention to his surroudnings as he took pictures of baby whales or big ones as they tumbled around in the bay. It really was a wonderful sight that leaves you thinking that some things in this world are beautiful and pure. Stopping for a moment Leo sat down on a rock his eyes staring out half in his own thoughts.

Portia

Portia walked along the bay with her horse, Ramex, walking beside her. Both her and her sister could take almost every one of their animals out and around with out haveing them on a leash or haveing to hold them close. She looked at the water as it tumbled to shore and them sucked back out. She had waded ankle deep into the water, the stallion though decided to stick to land and trotted 3 feet away from her and the water. Portia looked up and saw Leo and his horse and smiled, "Hey Leo!" She called out.

Leo

Leo looked up as a voice called out to him. It took him a moment to register her and the stallion, but he soon did. "Hello Portia. What brings you to Orca Bay?" His voice was normal as he stood to walk over to her. On the way he untied Sunholder who was eying the other stallion. He snorted a greeting trying to be friendly. Leo stopped a short distance away incase Ramex didn't like other stallions. Leo was wearing jeans, a gray t-shirt, with a black jacket over it.

Portia

Portia looked over at the whales that Leo had been taking pictures of "Just taking a walk." She said looking back. She was wearing jeans that she had cut so that they were knee high and a thin turtle neck, some thing no one would think of wearing.

Ramex snorted at the other horse. "Hello." He said shaking his mane. Being a gypsy vanner he stood at least 16 hands tall and was painted brown with a black mane.

Leo

Leo smiled at her. Letting go of Sunholder's lead he went a few steps closer till he was standing 3 feet away from Portia on her right side. "It seems more of a swim,"he replied looking to where she stood in the water. He kept a eye on Sunholder and Ramex slightly.

"I'm Sunholder. I belong to Leo." Sunholder lowered his head lightly to sniff the ground. Than he raised his head again.

Portia

Portia giggled. "No I wish, its still to cold to swim..." She said sighing as she kicked her foot in the water just enought to make it ripple. She loved to swim, then again there were few people who didn't like to. She looked over at the horses.

Ramex smiled "Im Ramex I live with Portia and another horse..." He said holding to much pride to say that he actually belonged to her.

Leo

Leo smiling took off his jacket. Too cold huh? Being late spring the temperatures were between 60 and 80 degrees. Today it was around 80 degrees. Stepping out of his shoes and socks he dove into the water. Resurfacing farther out he smiled at Portia before calling.

"It feels fine and good to me."

"It's nice to belong to someone, even if they can be stubborn sometimes,"he said looking to where Leo just dove into the water.

Portia

Portia watched him, even if it was 80 degrees out the water usually stayed colder. She stood still for a few moments just deciding weather or not to dive in or stay dry. She looked up and saw the whales. "hm..." She said before wading knee high. She stood there for a few more moments.

Ramex snorted "I'd prefer to live with out being bossed around..." He said quietly.

Leo

Leo looked up to watch as Portia went in knee high. When she seemed to go no farther Leo put on a encouraging smile. "Come on. If you get too cold, you can always get back out. The sun will warm you soon enough." He said glancing to the sun where it stood in full veiw. Besides if she was still cold he could lend her his jacket.

"Well I only get bossed around by Wisher really. Mares can be tempermental." His voice was joking on the second one. It was meant as a joke.

Portia

Portia finally dove under the water and came back up not far from Leo. "I was just getting used to the water..." She said with a smile.

Ramex laughed "I don't have to deal with mares, or I haven't had to...yet..." He drifted off as he remembered that Portia had promised Poppy a mare.

Leo

Leo watched as she dove into the water finally. Oh so she was trying to get used to it. "Better to take it in all at once, or you'll be standing one place for quite a while. So how is your lamb doing?" He spoke trying to start a conversation as he kicked his feet lightly to stay afloat. He was in over his head, and his feet moved easily in calculated measure. It was obvious he swam often. His light blond hair half shielded his green eyes as usual. He waited for her reply.

Sunholder grinned now. "Well just hope that you don't get 2 at once. It's pretty hard than, especially if they get in a bad mood. I'd just stay clear." He smiled at Ramex.

Portia

Portia looked at Leo "She's doing well, were expecting that she'll be old enought to shear soon." She smiled before she floated onto her back and began to kick out towards the whales. As long as she was in the water she wanted to try and get as close as she could to the gental gaints.

Ramex smirked "Im sure its better than dealing with a younger stallion..." He was refuring to the larger Stallion who was half a year younger than him self. He him self was young, only 4 years.

Leo

Leo nodded his head. He followed after Portia his legs going slowly, but strongly to keep up. "The felines are doing good as well. I expect we can breed the females soon again."

Sunholder nodded his head. "Actually it's not. You should be able to anticapate what the stallion's going to do. After all you were a stallion at that age once. You never know what a mare will do."

Portia

Portia finally stopped when she had decided that they were far enough from shore. "Thats cool, my sisters dog is prenant. She's supposed to give birth soon." She squirmed lightly in the water as she tried to fix her cloths it was hard swimming in cloths but thats what she got for not bringing her swim suit. "We're also thinking of getting a ram soon..." Portia dove under water again and began to swim further out. She surfaced not to far away. "I think this is far enough... I don't want to get to close to the whales..." She looked at the whales in aw. "Their so big and yet so graceful..."

Leo

Leo swam in place as he stopped when Portia did. "That's good. Are you going to keep the puppies, or sale them? They sure are beautiful." He spoke the last part about the whales. He looked at them before turning his head back to Portia. His eyes were half slits due to the sun was in his eyes. During that moment his eye's shown nothing but green, not even the white part of his eyes were showing due to his hair shielding that part.

Portia

Portia pondered the puppy thing for a few minutes "I think we'll sell them, Their cute but we already have four dogs on the farm." She looked back to the whales. She flipped onto her back and shut her eyes. She drifted silently for a few moments "So do you guys keep all you cubs, or release them, or what?" Her eyes were still shut and she was still laying on her back.

Leo

Leo looked up at her question. "We could use another dog or two if you still plan on selling them when their weaned. We set free the ones that can't be tamed. Like that feline we ran into downtown. I had to let her go. The ones that can be tamed we keep them. The ones that are only half tamed me and Jake have been thinking about letting them go as well. We have to be completely certain about the felines so as to cause no problem. Especially since Crystal might be..."

He didn't finish the sentence, but merely looked away. It was a touchy subject. His brother and Crystal were thinking of having a child.

Portia

Portia gave him a funny smiled "Whats wrong with them having a kid?" She had figured it out, even though he hadn't said any thing. "If your brothers happy and it should make you happy..." She stopped floating on her back and began treading water.

Ramex laid down, he couldn't lay down for long but it helped him when he was tired.

Leo

Leo looked away with a sigh. "It'll make everything different. Jake's been out of touch with me and it makes me feel not wanted. Crystal's been great as a friend, but now everything's awkward. I just want everything back to normal. What's wrong about that?" He gave her a challenging smile, but it was teasing. His words had been true though. Leo hadn't told nobody but Portia, so she'd better think herself worthy.

Sunholder began to graze on what grass was there.

Portia

Portia smiled sweetly "Oh well you should ask him to hang out with you some time." She didn't want him to feel unwanted, she knew how that feeling worked. When her sister and brother were born her parents didn't pay as much attention to her as that had before. She had felt unwanted her self and became, antisocial for a good deal of her life.

Leo

Leo smiled at her. "I do, but most of the time he ends up not showing. Today he was suppose to take pictures of the whales with me." He spoke watching the whales. Leo knew Jake wasn't going to show, simply because Crystal asked him to spend the day with her. He sighed softly as he stayed afloat.

Portia

Portia gave him a weak smile "Im sorry..." She didn't know what else to tell him. She slowly began to swim closer to shore, it gets tiring trying to float out there. Soon she was able to touch, she quietly shuffled so that she didn't step on any fish, she knew what it felt like and oh was it gross. "I should probably get home and get ready for Nesras birth..." She climbed out of the water and sat down on the rocky shore, she didn't want to get Ramex wet. Should have brought swim gear just incase She thought.

Leo

Leo simply smiled. "No need, I have Chita to keep me company." He nodded at what she said about needing to get back. Like it was second nature Leo swam back to shore his legs moving gracefully as his arms supported him in the water. Soon he was on shore. Calling to Sunholder he mounted the equine knowing that the water wouldn't bother him.

"Nice meeting you Ramex,"Sunholder said.

"Are you cold, and do you know how to help a canine give birth?" Leo may be asking many questions, but he was simply only trying to help.

Portia

Portia looked puzzled "Um no but Im sure I'll get it." She stood up and dusted her self off, "no Im not cold..." She smiled and patted Ramex on the nose softly.

Ramex nodded "Same." He walked over to Portia and stood quietly, his large head looming over her shoulder.

Leo

Leo nodded his head. "I can come along to help, if you'd like. Our dog Jena had pups, and I had to help her deliver."

He nudged Sunholder forward slightly while he waited looking at her as she patted Ramex.

Portia

"Sure we could use the help..." She smiled and began to walk, Ramex not far behind.
