Orthen

Orthen walked along the shore. The late winter wind caused her to stay away from the chilling water. A smiled built on her face as the mist from the water hit the soft Canids pelt. She trotted down the shore a little longer before stopping to watched the birds dive in and out of the liquid. She pawed at the ground a little.

Gold

Gold was with Angel and his brothers only today. Nighteyes was sniffing at the rocks by the bay trying to catch a scent of anything. Silvertip ran at him pawing at his back. A sharp yelp, and a snap was followed. Night's back was one of his weak spots, and Silver had hit it so Night snapped at him. Gold and Angel simply ignored this as they continued on. Gold hadn't liked Angel at first, but now they were good friends once Angel had proven herself. Now she was one of the members, and proud to be one as well. A bow was on her back with some sharp arrows as well in case of danger. Gold looked around with his taunting golden eyes. They hadn't noticed Orthen just yet.....

Orthen

Orthen turned and noticed a few wolves walking around She lowered her self so she wouldn't be seen. If they came closer she would probably run. She had not been here long but by now she already knew what to do in these situations.

Gold

Silvertip growled playfully at Gold still not seeing Orthen. Not to mention the wind was blowing toward Orthen so they couldn't smell her either. The only way you could tell Silvertip and Gold apart were the eyes, tail, and build. Silver's golden eyes were lighter than Gold, and not as interesting. Silver tail tip was silver giving him his name. Not to mention his brother, Gold was bigger than him.

Angel and Nighteyes sat down a bit away in the snow watching the two other play fight. Angel rubbing Night's head gently.

Gold lunged at his brother attepting to catch his brother's tail gently between his teeth. No matter how many times they wrestled Gold always won due to his weight, but he always gave his brother a chance for the fun of it.

Orthen

Orthen Stood up and stiffened. She bared her teeth. She was smaller than all of these wolves, it wouldn't be smart to startle one. She backed up two steps and stood her ground.

Gold

Gold soon was holding his brother down. Than once Silver submitted he let him up. Turning he was about to make his way to Night and Angel when rocks moving made him turn around. He spotted Orthen, and shook filled his face. Seeing her bared teeth his hackles rose in self defence. Sniffing the air he took a stiff step in her direction. He was offering for them to sniff noses before they did anything else. He would be able to find out a lot about her if she agreed to sniff noses.

Angel remained sitting while the others stood watching what would happen. Only Gold had his hackles raised in warning, but he was trying to be friendly about it at the same time.

Orthen

Orthen sniffed noses with him. This was a friendly sign but she didn't take it for granted. she remaind still she tucked her tail and continued to bare her teeth.

Gold

Gold was intrigued from what he could smell. Hackles lowered he backed up a bit to sit down showing no threat. So the fea was a loner that much he could tell. Infact there was no other wolf scent on her that he could detect. "Greetings fea, i am Gold loyal member of Shadow Haunters. These are my siblings Nighteyes and Silvertip, and close friend Angel,"he said indicating each one including the human girl.

Nighteyes and Silvertip simply nodded their heads in hello. Angel sensing that they we're giving the names simply smiled at the wolf when Gold pointed at her with his nose.

Orthen

Orthen had smelt many wolves and backed away a little. When he lowered his hackles she realized attacking her wasn't his first thought at all. Orthen looked at each wolf and the human. "My name is Orthen... I don't have a pack..." She sat down and stared at the ground. She had lost three packs already. What was to happen to her if she lost another. She looked back up to Gold. Her amber pelt blew in the soft sea shore wind. She smiled.

Gold

Gold watched the other quietly. He wondered whether he should offer the fea to meet their leader. Well maybe he should find out more about her. "Would you tell me your past,"he asked curiously.

Nighteyes went back to Angel who patted his head again.

Silvertip sat down, but remained listening to his brother and the newcommer Orthen.

Orthen

Orthen smiled sweetly. She didn't mind sharing her past. "I was born the daughter of Midmoon and Panda both of them were half leaders along side Midnight and Vampire. I had a few siblings too. My Aunt passed young and my uncle left us. My mother had problems because of later pregnancies. She left all the leading to my father who also had problems. He had never wanted to be in a pack he was a loner before any of that had happened. He adventually ran away and left my poor mother to lead. A near by pack heard of their trubles and spread the news. When the news reached a old enime, Misery Pack The decieded to waige war. That day I went out to play with my younger brothers. When we reaturened had been a masicure. We found all of our siblings relitives and mother dead. I ran back to my den and found my mate dieing...." She stopped as if remembering the horror. "He told of who had done this and I decided to run with all of them. The next morning my mate was dead. We left his corpes for the voulters. In the next two months both of my brothers had died. I found a pack called AmberWood. I lived there for a while but... I decieded to leave. Now I'm here." She put her smile back on as if nothing had ever gone wrong with her life but deep down she knew she had gone through hell.

Gold

Gold listened to the fems sad tale not speaking for awhile even when she was done. "I'm sorry to hear this, Orthen. It must of been hard especially when you lost everyone close to your heart. Tell me do you enjoy being a loner,"he asked adding the last part in a soft questioning voice.

The others just remained doing the same thing, although Silvertip felt sorry for the fem that had a hard life.

Orthen

Orthen smiled in her kind sweet way "I guess I kind of do... I miss my old life. I was to be alpha of my old pac some day..." Her smile evapurated "But now thats just a dream..." Cold reality had hit her hard. Some may claim for it to have come to them harshly, but her case was different. She had so much and lost it all in one day.

Gold

Gold listened patiently as the fea spoke. "What happened,"he asked curiously.

Angel, the human, stood and left knowing her parents would worry if she didn't return soon. Gold and Silvertip stayed while Nighteyes went with Angel.

Silvertip spoke up with a growl in his voice. "Don't even think about inviting her to meet Risen, brother. She might of been born as a enemy."

Gold gave him a look that silenced him completely. Trully Gold had never looked so furious before at his brother not even when he was really mad.

Orthen

She laughed "Born as a enemy? No, no my pack had only one enemy thanks to my mother." She shifted to a more comfertable position " All of them were killed. There was no one to lead. If my mate had lived I could have tried to begin it again but... He and My brothers all died. There was no one to help." She looked to the ground revieling a unnatural black stripe down her back. Deep down she was hidding the worst. Humans were not friends or at least not all of them...

Gold

Gold was about to reply when a voice beat him to it.

"Why should we trust you? For all we know your some bitch spy,"he said with a snarl.

Gold had enough of Silvertip so he rounded on his brother. Unlike before this was a real fight with harsh snapping fangs and the sound of tearing flesh. Soon Silver was running tail between his legs home. "Sorry about that, but i don't like it when my brother can be so rude especially to innocent females,"he said to Orthen. There was a bleeding bite mark on his flank, but he ignored it. "So who is this enemy you speak of,"he asked curiously.

Orthen

Orthen sighed how she hated to speak of them... "Their called Misery Pack. They sicken the hell outa me. Their a bunch of inbreeders..." Fact they were amazingly odd inbreeders. They had children twice the size of a large wolf. "They number 1,000 and live in the porest lands, they even feed off each other..." She shivered. How they digusted her. "Their led by a male named Gardian..."

Gold

Gold wondered what she thought about him and his brother fightling like that, but he didn't ask her. "They sound pretty repulsive. I'm sorry they killed your loved ones, Orthen,"he said to her. He wanted to nuzzle her like he would any other pack member, but he knew she might not like it so he didn't.

Orthen

She smiled and giggled a little "They are." She knew if she stayed on this subject she would start crying. "So do you and your brother fight often?" She asked curiosly. Her eyes glittered in what was left of the sun light. She was naturally sweet and no matter what happened she would remain that way.

Gold

Gold smiled at the female. "Only when hes mean to beautiful females like yourself,"he said with a dazeling smile. It was quite hard to make this brute feel embaressed about himself, and he wasn't embaressed to tell this female she was pretty. "So was it hard bieng a loner,"he asked his question now. This was like she asked a question and than he asked one. Well only one way to get to know each other.

Orthen

Orthen felt her self heat up she was blushing. Lucky for her her fur covered it. "Yes but after a while you learn what to do and what not to do..." She laughed "Like don't hunt elk" She showed him a scar on her side. "Expecially bulls... I'm guessing you'v always had a pack..." She blinked and thought of a new quistion "hm... So have you been in another pack before or just this one?" She knew it was probably a no from how he was asking her about if it was hard to be a loner. But she couldn't think of much else...

Gold

Gold watched her as she spoke. "Alone yes, but with a pack its quite easy. Especially when you have like 20 wolves alone with you. No i was born and raised a shadow haunter. My mother was raped by one, but they cared for her so eventually my mom and aunt forgave the male that forcebreed them. I think my brother got his father's forcebreeding habits,"he said adding the last part in a whisper. Maybe he had gone to far in saying that...After all he didn't want to scare Orthen.

Orthen

Orthen Smiled and listened as usual. He mentioned his brother and forcebreeding. She seemed a bit confused. "Hm I don't under stand why a male does that. My mother was drunk on forest wine once. That was when she met my father. Stupid idiot. They told my Panda was my father till later, when he came looking for my mother. Turns out he took advantage of her. She turned him down and pointed out that she loved panda. Thats why Misery is our enemy. He was the deputy and he told them my mother was planning war." She frowned and shook her fur out.

Gold

Gold feeling the urge to make Orthen happy after her said tale leapt at her playfully. He wondered if she ever played fight with somebody. He took it easy on her not using his weight yet as he attepted to lightly pin her down. He made his back an easy target for her as well.

Orthen

She laughed as he playfully jumped around. She stood up and started to jump around playfully her self. HE pounced on her and pinned her down she reached for his leg to playfully mouth him. She hadn't play fought in a long time. She looked at him her eyes sparkled. He was really sweet.

Gold

Gold found himself laughing with her as they played. As she grabbed his leg he got off her trying to pull his leg out of her tight yet not painful hold. This would give her the chance to pounce on his back. He was going to keep this game up till someone delt the "death" blow.....

Orthen

She giggled. He was much stronger than she. She was built small like a coyote because of being a red wolf grey wolf coyote mix. He jumped off and she stood up and attempted to knock him over and pin him down.

Gold

Gold smiled as he allowed himself to be pinned. He twisted his neck around to watch as his paws lightly scrabed at her belly. If anything it would tickle her at most. However with his neck twisted like this she could easily for for the "death" blow. Gold could of easily over powered the female, but he was going to let her win this time.

Orthen

She laughed as he tickled her belly. She want in for the "death" blow and nuzzled him. "Do you think I could joint the Shadow Hunters?" She asked curiosly. Maybe she would give this place a chance.

Gold

Gold nuzzled her back. "Of course, Orthen. After all you already got my vote. How about we meet here tommow, and i'll take you to the shadow haunters,"he asked her. He wanted her to think about it more before she made up his mind.

Orthen

Orthen smiled and thought about it. "I would like to join..." She was sure about this. She brushed against him smiling she looked up to him. "I'll be right here tomarrow."

Gold

Gold smiled at her. "Until tommow,"he said nuzzling her before leaving.

After a little while and Gold was out of earshot a figure appeared. He ran in a blur strait at Orthen. It was Silvertip and he made to grab Orthen's scarf before dragging her off to the breeding grounds.

Orthen

Orthen nuzzled him back softly "yes..." She watched him run off. She turned and noticed a blur running towards her. She screamed as Silvertip took her away.

Silvertip

Silver did his ugly buisness than left the fem to fend on her own. He headed home to the ruins.

Orthen

Orthen sat against a stone alone and cold. Why did gold leave her now of all times. She cried her self to sleep in a small bundle.
