Jasper Shard
Jasper was quiet as he walked along the bay. The water sloshing at his feet. Being at the age of 20 he was fully grown to stand at 6'9. For a few years now he knew that he was human, and not a wolf, but he remained living in the wild. Thats all he known so he would not change that. He wondered if the fire had never happen if he would still be living with humans. However there was no way to find out. He was still glad that Eagle, who was now elder, had taken him in. The pack was residing here for now till Eagle died due to it was to hard on him to travel. Wing was getting older too, but she still had a year or two left in her. Right now though Jasper was patroling looking for any potential danger.
Mahala
Mahala, now the age of 17, rode along the shore on the back of her mule, Koki. She stopped there when she saw her friend. "Hi." She said simply. "The first snow may be coming in a month or so."
Jasper
Jasper looked up as a voice spoke to him. He recognized the girl that he had met a few years ago. "Hi,"he said tyring to be polite. "I'm afraid Eagle won't survive this winter putting my pack in turmoil with no leader,"he said. Even though he was trying to keep calm his hands went into fists just keep his throat from choking up. Eagle had been like his father he never had. Now he was going to die. Unlike humans wolves adapt to it, and carry on while humans cry. Jasper had been fighting hard to move on, but now that it was nearing it was getting harder for Jasper to keep from crying.
Mahala
Mahala frowned slightly. "I'm sorry about that. Yareli is getting up there in years too. I don't know how long she'll last." She replied sincerely. "You can come live with my pack. I'm sure my leader won't mind."
Jasper
Jasper nodded his head in sympathy. "Thats very kind of you. However i can't leave my pack. At least not till Eagle passes away,"he said softly. If only she had offered the whole pack. He wasn't sure who he would choose. This girl seemed nice enough, but he had known his pack all his life. He had been where she lived once. If the whole pack was invited he was sure Eagle could make it there with the pack to help him. Besides Jasper would carry him if he had to, but that was only if Mahala invited them.
Mahala
Mahala shrugged. "They can come too. More members are always welcome." She replied calmly. She knew that there were even positions available for elderly animals.
Jasper
Jasper smiled at what she said. His eyes lit up as well. "Thank you. I almost forgot, my names Jasper Shard. I never did get to tell you during the floods,"he said softly. "I'll take you to where the others are at,"he said. He waited for her to follow before he led her to a not to far off cave. Outside was Wing and Eclipse who were his "siblings" when he was growing up. Wing growled when she saw Mahala thinking it was a intruder. Till Jasper warned her with a look, and a shake of his head. Quickly he went inside to get Eagle and Sunlight. He reappered with two old wolves one clearly more fragile than the other. However he carried his head and tail proudly. He nodded his head to Mahala showing he agreed to go. He waited for her to lead the way. Sunlight and Eclipse stood beside him to help him. Jasper was to the side so he could help if neccesary. He looked to Mahala waiting for her to either lead the way or say something. His brown eyes were calm and cool unlike earlier when he had been on the verge of crying. He refused to show that infront of his family.
