Bahz

The golden eagle swooped down low near the water, his gold red feathers skimming its surface. Flying back up again, the eagle saw Frightful. Calling out, he hoovered near her. "Hello, I am Bahz, who are you?" Bahz asked the falcon.

Frightful

When she felt the shadow of the eagle fall over her, Frightful panicked. Eagles had tried to kill her before, and she had narrowly missed them. She tried to fly away, but then she heard, "Hello, I am Bahz, who are you?" The voice sounded quite friendly, so she stopped trying to escape. Her wings were tired anyway.

"I am Frightful. You aren't going to...kill me are you?" The falcon swooped down toward her roost, a cliff near the edge of the bay sheltered by a withered old pine tree that had grown out of a mossy crack in the rock.

Bahz

Bahz smiled, but shook his head. "I do not hurt other birds, I only eat mice." Bahz replied politely.

Frightful

Frightful relaxed and then landed at the dead pine. She preened her ruffled feathers back into place and then turned her fierce golden eyes to Bahz. "Why do approach me, and give up the chance to eat me when their is such a shortage of game?" She cocked her beautiful and delicate head as she asked her question.
