Pheral

Jagger

The 19-foot anaconda had indeed stuck to the waters, which was something that was what he preferred. Especially over traveling on land. It wasn't like he could swing through the trees, of course, so water was probably the only real thing he could get anywhere by.

His nostrils were out of the water, due to them not being on the sides, but on the top. Same with his eyes; he peered around from the surface, while forever keeping his long body hidden beneath the murky liquid. He was alert for any animals like alligators, and also anything that could provide him some tastey prey. But he hadn't spotted anything, which was probably best. He'de still have room for anything that Pheral could snatch up for him, and he wouldn't leave her waiting for so long. Not like she was waiting, though, since she was most likely still searching for something. Jagger thought about it, and wondered how she'de catch and kill anything. And he hadn't seen any rodents at all around here except for that capybara at the ruins, but maybe he wasn't looking hard enough. But he was here now anyway, so he could forget about that. He probably wasn't going to have much of a chance with trying to go after some animal, if they were running from him, but he felt confident on sneaking up on something. That was his pride and joy; Jagger loved sneaking up on his prey.

The greenish-yellow snake swam into the marsh, ans began searching for the sow's large body nearby. He kept a lookout for her tucks as well, figuring that they'de stand out against such a dark backdrop.
His eyes finally landed on who he was looking for, and he turned and started toward shore. He slithered onto the muddy land and gave out a light hiss for Pheral, letting her know of his presense. He then waited for her to turn to him, noticing that she must still be looking for something.

Pheral

Apart from some marsh rats and water foul, there was nothing promising that Pheral had come across yet. Those type of creatures were far too small to be much more than a snack for Jagger, and that latter group would be near impossible for the sow to catch anyway. In hopes of disguising her true intentions to would-be prey, Pheral set about to rooting up some food for herself. Delicious Day Lillies, which were just bearing their last bright-orange blossoms for the year, were on the menue. Using her tusks like spades, the pig tore up the ground to reach the tubers below, then went on to devour the flowers and leaves. All the while, she kept alert for any creature that could provide her new friend with his first meal here in the Valley.

As Pheral was moving on to some cattails, Jagger hissed. She turned, her snout covered in mud where she plowed at the ground. "Good, you've made it. I haven't been able to find anything yet, but it's only a matter of time before something shows up. And if all else fails, I will look elsewhere."

Jagger

Jagger listened intently to the sow, or his newest friend. He wasn't sure if there were really any other snakes like him in this valley. He hadn't seen any; all of the ones around here would most likely be the short, skinny ones. They were sometimes better for snacks than to chat with, but Jagger would never think of eating one of his own kind. Maybe someone else would, but not Jagger. In his case, he'de rather munch on something a little tastier.

Jagger slightly tilted his head, and stared hard at the flowers and roots she was eating. He wouldn't ever think of eating those things, that was for sure. But now, he'de eat practically anything. Those weren't too appealing to his eyes, though, and especially not his mind.
"We've a plan, it ssoundss. All the way here, I've sseen nothing very appetizing. I hope ssomething comess by ssoon." he stated in his 'snake' tongue. He kept alert for any prey he could eat as he laid there, a few feet from the flowers Pheral had dug up at.

*Moose*Aaka

A young calf had gotten seperated from its mother. A shadow seemed to loom near the young creature and sure enough, Aaka loomed just behind the moose. She wanted it to be tired before she tried to eat it. Besides, this game of cat and mouse was quite fun.

As she came near, her eyes were on the young male. She very nearly tripped over Jagged and with a muttered curse, the injured alphess continued limping after the moose. The young creature charged through the water and with a soft hiss, Aaka joined him. Her blood seeped into the waters as she swam after the creature. She was bound and determined to kill him.

Jagger

Jagger was still waiting for Pheral's words when the moose ran by. He gave out a sharp hiss, realizing immedietly that a certain couple of meals were running around. And both were just big enough for him to gobble up.
"Food at 1 'o clock!" he stated sharply before turning and slithering straight to the water. Excellent... he thought to himself. They were in the water; an exceptional striking zone. He'de go for the moose first. At this point, he didn't care whether a wolf was after it or not. He finally reached the water and slipped right under the surface, but kept his nostrils and eyes just above so he could look around and breath, while the rest of him was hidden. He started after the two at an intense speed, being driven further but his rushing hunger. He would get one of these meals. He headed for the young moose, having his eyes set on snagging a hindleg, but instead, he swam even faster and tried coming up beside the animal. That was when he struck. With incredible, sudden speed, the anaconda's head shot out of the water and straight at the youngster's side. Jagger intended to latch onto the flesh, and then bring the creature down with his vast amount of weight, where he could then wrap around the small body and constrict it.

Pheral Now that would be a meal for you." The sow replied as Jagger set off into the water. Moving surprisingly quick for her 600+ pound bulk, the leggy Pheral traveled further along the bank. Then she too got into the water, swimming as fast as she could towards the moose. "I'd stay back, wolf. You don't want to get tangled with my friend..." It was quite a literal statement, too. At first, she planned to help Jagger out by wounded the moose with her tusks. But, heeding her own words to Aaka, Pheral decided to best to keep her distance. She didn't want to get confused as food by Jagger.

Instead, she attemped to circled in front of the moose and cut off his escape so that Jagger would have an easier time catching it.

Taiser

Taiser had just joined Aminita in searching for Sang when he saw the turmoil some distance off. Making a hasty run towards his alphess, the wolf wasn't quite sure what was going on. A giant snake and pig... where they friends or foes? Taiser jumped into the water, swimming towards Aaka while scanning the water for any signs of Jagger, but the water was simply too murky to see through. "You know these two?" He asked uncertainly, not sure if he needed to help defend Aaka, or what. Better to be safe than sorry though.

Akili

Attracted by all the commotion, the four and a half foot alligator glided slowly underwater before bringing her head up to see what this was all about. She was very surprised to see such a curious mix of creatures in the water, and despite her friendship with the wolves, she didn't approach any closer. Although she was a decent size, she could still be easily trampled by the young moose or Pheral.

Then something more alarming came to the young gator. She could feel another creature in the water, who's movements were liquid and strong- a snake. But the force of his swim was so strong that Akili doubted herself for a moment; it seemed this snake was a heck of a lot larger than her! Not quite trusting her acute sense of water-touch, Akili slipped under water again, moving like a shadow until she came close enough to see him... Jagger! Where in world did this monstrous thing come from?!? Snakes has always been on the prey list for her, but this one was quickly dubbed a predator, or at least something to be wary of for now. Backing off, the alligator rested on the bottom of the marsh, watching the scene play out from a safe distance.

,hr> Aaka *Moose*

A demonic snarl escaped the alphess. "DAMMIT SNAKE! HES MINE!" As she saw Taiser she barked, calling him. Her blood stained the murky waters and as both her the moose and now the snake hit shore, she leaped heading for the young bulls jugular.

The calf let out a strangled cry as the anaconda latched onto him. He struggled to shore, and was two steps out when he fell from the combined weight of Aaka and Jagger. With one last cry for his mother, the calf was dead.

Jagger

Jagger, as usual, was completely prepared for the calf to die. Althought he hadn't expected it to just plop over like that, he had released as soon as it began to fall to the ground. His eyes flashed with hunger as he immedietly shot his gaping jaws for the alphess then, ready to get her away from the kill. To him, nothing mattered right now but eating, and he was aiming to latch onto the wolfess' muzzle now to get her away. If he succeeded, he would try to jerk her head downward to the ground and thrash around. A lot more than half of his long body was still concealed under the water as he moved around with only some of the front end showing from the water. He was ready to get rid of this wolf.

Aaka

A dark snarl escaped her as the snake lunged for her. She pulled back, out of his range and said in a harsh tone, "Hes mine! I caught him, I chased him, HES MINE!" Uh oh. Now this could be bad. Nothing was worse then Aaka being angry. Her hackles raised and she stayed well out of Jagger's way but her cold piercing orbs latched onto his own. "Come out of the water. Lets see who lives then." She could see the snake was massive, and that was a little to set her off balance. But she was so pumped off with adrenaline that all she could think was that was her dinner. Suddenly though, a howl to the north caught her attention. With a dark snarl, she turned to Taiser and nodded her head. "Lets go home."

Jagger Now you BACK OFF!" he then 'snarled' out, sending some spit shooting her way. He laid next to the moose, but then slithered onto it's side, with his jaws gaping wide open, ready to spring if the wolf came at him.

Pheral

She plowed through water, making her way to shore in attempts to break up the scuffle with Jagger and Aaka. With her tusks, she could easily disembowl a wolf with a quick, accurate thrust, or slice tissue straight to the bone. Being an omnivor and scavenger, her jaws were build to crush through bones; it also helped that she was one of the larger land creatures and more than triple the size of most wolves.

As Aaka backed off, Pheral took a stance near the moose and andaconda, while facing her lowered head towards the two wolves. "Your fangs cannot match our tusks and coils; concede defeat and leave." Like Jagger, the sow had total confidence in herself as far as fending off a wolf or two.

Taiser

He followed after Aaka when she went to protect the kill, but wisely backed off when she did. This snake was unfathomable in its size! The biggest he'd ever seen were just a few inches past his own length; and they were harmless little rat snakes. And the pig was something else as well; far from the pink little things he'd caught glimpses of around human areas.

While not happy letting his alpha's meal get stolen, he could see no way of getting it back now. Leaving the duo with an awe-stricken look, Taiser followed Aaka back to the Glades.

Jagger

Jagger grinned mercilessly, flashing his pointy teeth, before giving Pheral a small nod. "I musst ssay thankss for your help. It wass much needed." he stated quickly before turning and slithering to the front of the moose. He bunched up some of his long body behind him and began to gobble the youngster up, by first unhinging his jaw and taking the head in his mouth. This meal would probably last him for a few days. Soon, after a bunch of quick surges forward, half of the animal was enclosed within his snake body, and a few more after that, and he had swallowed the entire thing. The body was already being smashed as he let out a small grunt, which would have probably sounded like a little burp. Maybe it was?
A few minutes later, the outline of the moose was already beginning to lower, and Jagger was taking his original shape back. He turned his beady eyes to Pheral and gave a wide smirk, "That'ss good eatin'." He shook his head a bit and began to slither along to the water, and swam into the murky liquid. He then turned his eyes back to the sow again, and hid the rest of his body, other than his head, of course, from any eyes above the surface. He peered at her once again from the brownish and greenish muck, quite enjoying his time here. "How long will you be hanging around thesse partss? And by the way, iss thiss area ssafe from the bitter coldness called 'winter?'" he then asked her, a bit unsure. Although the idea still didn't bother him, chilly weather wasn't something that would probably ever reach him. In the long run, a place that stayed warm all year round and had water would be best for him.

Jagger

Just then, Jagger's eyes landed on a river-type waterway, that seemed to lead out into a wider section of water. Like a little lightbulb within his head clicked, he turned his body to face the waterway and began swimming away, "Well, see you again, I bet." he stated as he slithered through the murky liquid, and began heading out of the marsh.
