Legosa

With fresh but not life-threatening wounds to add to his threatening appearance, the white father continued his search for his lost offspring. He didn't know that Lost had been found, or that Faute was trying to rescue Atticus. And he had no clue where Sang might be. With no idea on where to start looking, Legosa simply ambled around from place to place, trying to pick up any scent that might lead him to the adolescents.

Emerald Rain & Silver Skye

This was the brute who had caused their adoptive mother so much grief, and slain her mate. He was to blame for much. The twins, newly reunited after a long separation, were ready again to avenge the missdoings of this feral beast.

The fawn-hued canines moved stealthily through the marsh, their noses down and tails aloft behind them as the trailed after their enemy. It was Silver Skye, her fur patchy and miscolored from an outbreak of mange last year, who headed the assault. The two hastened their pace as they drew upon Legosa; their breath and heart quickening.

When they were close, Skye gave a murderous growl to demand the other's attention, while her brother stood solidely by her side. "Legosa! You feral trash; we've come to put an end to your wretched existance!" The female raged, hackles up and fangs bared.

Legosa

Tall, keen ears caught footfall of the advancing duo, long before Skye's initial growl. He stopped and turned, fur bristling with annoyance at being trailed. As soon as he saw who the culprits were however, Legosa grinned wickedly with cruel amusement flaming in his dark eyes. "Well, well, well, if it's the two lost misfits. And here I thought you two went and got killed and robbed me of some fun murdering." Not in the least bit frightened by their agressive display, the large mongrel took a step closer to them, arching his long, thick tail up so high that the end of it curved back, aiming at the siblings like a saber.

"And I thought you had some brains left in you, but apparently not." Legosa's lips writhed back to expose two rows of deadly ivories, where fresh blood had recently been stained. "Too bad mommy isn't here to save you this time. Nor is daddy. But you'll be seeing them soon enough anyway" The grin grew more sinister as his cold eyes bored into Skye, then Rain. Before making any sort of move against the two dogs, Legosa howled loudly; calling to his packlands.

Emerald Rain & Silver Skye

Silver Skye stood defiantly as Legosa moved closer, "You'll be eating those words! Black Fyre was ten times the parent that you could ever be!" Her ears planed out to the side and her muscles tensed, "You're just a coward, calling for help!"

Emerald Rain lowered his head defensively, baring his canines as well and emmiting a low rumble as the word war began. Soon enough, he knew, it would be a battle of fangs.

Legosa

He smirked, "Oh, have you underestimated my intentions, darling? Why, I thought you knew me better than that." His sharp gold-yellow eyes flashed to Emerald Rain, "I'm not the one who has back-up here." Now they switched back to Skye. In the distance, there was a reply howl, moving closer to the scene. "You see, I must teach my offspring how to become fighters, so as they don't turn out to be the weakling scum I see before me."

His head came lower and his eyes leveled with the twins. "So, who's gonna be first to die? Since I'm so nice, I'll let you have the first move."

Lost

The kind hearted female moved with a grace that was evident. She saw her father and yipped with joy as she raced to him. Seeing the other two howeer she halted and she said softly "Dad....Who are they?" Her father had missed her growing up. He had never been around and then she had gone missing but she was home now. She stared wide eyed at the two. She had been a lover not a fighter. It was amazing that the growing fae was still alive. She was like a swan as well. Smooth, graceful and elegant like her mother Aaka but lacking in attitude and the blood lust.

Legosa

He was startled to see this daughter here, but relieved at least that she wasn't lost anymore. "It doesn't matter who they are anymore." He rumbled out, his fangs showing in a cruel, almost twisted smirk as he looked from his daughter to the dogs, "So, who's going first? Or shall I just go ahead and start things myself?"

Emerald Rain & Silver Skye

Silver Skye stepped forward, "You started this long ago with the murder of Hueros. Now we'll end it." With a nod to her brother, the tawny hybrid sprung at Legosa. Blunt muzzle sought out his throat.

Emerald Rain circled slightly around the side, looking briefly to Lost before turning his sights on Legosa again. Without so much as a growl, he launched for the larger hybrid's stomach.

Legosa, Sweetclover, & Phelan

He laughed, "I'd like to see you try." There was no more room for taunting now, for the duo had launched their assault. The white warrior was far too experienced to let his throat be taken while his trained eyes watched their every movement. Just to show her how powerful he was, he sprung forward at the same moment, head held low. His front paws went for her chest while his jaws went for her shoulder. He aimed to knock her to the ground with the blow. As he did this, he felt the twinge of pain as a mouthfull of fur was ripped from his stomach.

Sweetclover and Phelan arrived soon after Lost. Clover instantly went to her sister and nuzzled her, "Lost! We've been so worried about you!"

Phelan looked to his sister as well, feeling a great joy at the sight of her. He thought she, as well as all the others, had died already. His joy was short-lived however, as he saw what his father was doing. Pulling his ears back, he scampered behind Lost and Clover.

Lost

She felt her sisters nuzzle when suddenly she screamed "NO!!!" She launched her small body at the male trying to knock him away from her father. She only loved him because she had to. Not because she really loved him. But because he was family. Her fangs were opened wide as tears streaked down her cheeks. Protect the family. Protect your life.

Emerald Rain & Silver Skye

Neither of the two were really meant for fighting. Silver Skye was thrown back, falling against the ground as Legosa's teeth closed on her shoulder. Yelping, she slashed violently at the side of his neck and face, and kick at his stomach with her hind limbs.

Emerald Rain was going to go for the brute's neck when a smaller canine attacked him. He stumbled and nearly fell, but managed to hold up. Growling darkly, his eyes trained on Lost. Emerald definitely wasn't one for fighting, especially against youngsters. But this time he felt he didn't have much of a choice. Large, blunt jaws struck out swiftly, trying to take the adolescent by the nape of the neck and give her a painful bite. And if his grip was a good one, if he even managed to make a bite, he'd try to give her a good thrashing too.

Legosa, Sweetclover, & Phelan

"LOST, NO!" Clover barked sharply, setting off after her smaller sister at once. She tried to ram Lost out of the way of Emerald's jaws, while giving a few vigorous snaps in his direction.

Legosa swung his muzzle straight for Skye's neck, trying to rip the flesh open there and let her bleed to death. He felt pain on the side of his own face and neck as she attacked, and without the bonus of a thick winter coat, her teeth bit deeper than usual, causing steady trickle of blood to leak from his wounds. He was going to attempt to finish her off, but he could see the brother going after his own offspring. "Damnit, stay back!" He snarled at the two sister, while launching at Emerald Rain, trying to tackle him to the ground and seize his throat. Since affection was something he only showed to Aaka, his concern for his offspring's welfair was representing in an angry form. Certainly not the best fatherly-figure, but he was protective.

Phelan looked on with big eyes, unsure of how to react. Fear compelled him to hide or run. Loyalty compelled him to leap forward and attack these strangers. He was caught betwix the two emotions, and so he simple stood there, shivering as he watched. His dad's snarl made him cower back even further, and a new fear awoke in his dark eyes; a fear of Legosa.

Lost

She was hurled to the ground from her impact with Emerald and as she hit a sharp yelp escaped her. She couldn't breathe...Not enough...Air....The wind had been thrown out of her small body and she heard Sweetclovers voice. She focused on it just as Emeralds jaws closed around her neck. She let loose a gush of air but did not struggle. She could hardly breathe as it was. No point in wasting precious energy. "Daddy....." She gasped.

Emerald Rain & Silver Skye

Skye continued her assault on Legosa, feeling fangs tear at her neck. When he turned his attention away, she paused in her assualt and took a few steps back, panting heavily. Her muzzle was covered in the brute's blood, but her neck was now bleeding profusely. Blinking away a wave of nausea, she once again went for Legosa, this time for his lower hind leg, trying to break a bone there between her jaws.

Emerald Rain ignored the snaps that Clover offered, and instead clamped down as tight as he could on Lost. He shook his head violently before releasing the adolescent, mentally wincing at her words. He hated fighting all togther, but to hurt an innoscent, espcially a youngster... he loathed it. Just as he was turning his head to face Legosa, the large hybrid captured his throat. A gasping bark was issued as he jerked back, trying to pull his neck free before Legosa bit too hard.

Legosa, Sweetclover, & Phelan

Legosa snapped his jaws shut in a flash, straining his powerful muscles to deliver a crushing bite to whatever flesh he held pinned between his deadly ivories. His golden orbs glared with unfathomable animosity towards Emerald Rain as he bit down, and pressed forward with all his emense bulk to force the other to the ground. Lost's cry of 'Daddy' had touched him. And it drove him into a greater fury.

As he dealt the brother, Skye was able to sneak in her attack. As the set of canines ground into his leg, Legosa stiffled a yelp and kicked his hind limb as strongly as he could, hoping to wrench if free of the dog's grasp.

"Lost!" Sweetclover barked again, this time her voice showing concern and worry as she crouched down beside the smaller being. "Lost are you alright?" She asked, struggling to keep her voice as calm as possible.

Lost

She whimpered for the males fangs had sunk deeper then he thought in his vigours shaking. Blood began to pour from the bite marks and her breath was coming in shallow pants. She couldnt breathe. She had hit the ground hard and having the male tear into her and chew her like that had done a lot of damage to the thin adolescent. She hadnt eaten in awhile, not helping matters any.

Emerald Rain & Silver Skye

He yelped and tried in vain to bite at his antagonist, but it was too hard. He couldn't hold up against the other's force, and was pinned to the ground. Gnashing his jaws at the air, Emerald began to kick furiously at Legosa's stomach, trying to get the male to release him. But already, he could feel his neck grow warm and wet with his own blood.

Silver Skye lost her grip as Legosa kicked, but not before grinding her teeth down and slicing sideways, hoping to pull away as much skin as possible. Straight away, she lunged for him again, fangs aimed at his stomach.

Legosa, Sweetclover, & Phelan

Sweetclover hovered over her smaller sister, "Lost, look at me! Just breath, breath!" Controlling her fear of loosing another sibling, Clover focused her attention soley on Lost. Her voice was edged with panic, but there was a strong sense of calm and authority there that seemed past her age. "Easy now, just breath... please..."

Phelan looked to his sister, his mind in shock. "She's gonna die... oh no, not anther one..." He whimpered.

Sweetclover flicked an ear to her brother, "Phelan, stay quiet. She'll be fine. You'll be fine Lost, just listen to me. Look at me." She said, switching from her brother then back to her sister.

Legosa continued to grind his teeth down and thrash mercilously at the dog, trying to whip him around like a ragdoll and keep his paws from hitting anything. His fury was so intense that he scarecly noticed the pain in his leg, where Skye managed to tear a large peice of skin loose. Her next attack, however, caught his attention. Dropping Rain, Legosa went for the sister again. She had gotten a hold on his stomach, bringing a sickening pain jolt through his body. He didn't go for her neck this time; he went for the base of her skull...

Lost

"Clover....Clover I hurt....Make it stop, Clover" She whimpered but her eyes focused on her now blurry sister. Blood began to stain the ground around her and her body shuddered convulsivly. She was becoming numb now. The pain was dulling and darkness was at the rims of her vision. "Phelan....Phelan help me." Her words were becoming jumbled and mixed together as tears formed in her eyes. "I want them proud...I tried, Daddy. I...I tried." She sat up, or at least tried to. She got part way before pain screamed through her sending an agonizing cry from the tiny adolescent.

Sweetclover & Phelan

She tried to stay as strong as she could, but moisture krept into her eyes, threatening to spill on her sister's crimson-stained pelt. With a sharp, deep breath, she spoke again, continuing to look at her stricken sister, "Shhh, don't move, Lost. Everything will be alright, I... I promise." She swallowed hard, averting her gaze for a moment before looking back to Lost. How could she promise something she had no control over? Well, if it brought any console to her sister... it was worth it. "Don't worry, just keep looking at me. Our parents, they are proud of you, trust me. Dad is fighting for you, right now." She went on, talking in the hopes of distracting Lost from the pain, if that were even possible. "You just have to keep living, for all of us. Lost, you must be strong... you must live." For a moment, panic almost overtook her as she thought desperately of how she could help. But how could she? She could only comfort her sister and hope that her wound wasn't fatal.

Phelan shivered, his eyes growing wider before that snapped shut, trying to stop the tears that leaked out, drawing two wet lines down his ebony muzzle. He was definitely not one for such a situation. Not knowing what else to do, he began to howl mournfully, trying to drown out the voices of his sisters and the fighting of his father.

Emerald Rain & Silver Skye

Emerald hit the ground with a thump, spraying up muck and water where his head landed in a shallow puddle. Pain throbbed through his throat and he could taste blood in his mouth now. Each breath stung and choked him, and caused a gurgled, sputtering noise. The red liquid began to drip from his nose as well, splattered out with each breath he exhaled. His airway had been punctured. The tawny-colored dog dragged himself to his feet, swaying like a drunken pirate before collapsing forward and falling heavily to his side. The world spun hazily around him as his heart and lungs went into overdrive, trying to keep his body alive.

Silver Skye squeezed her jaws together, and as Legosa had done, she gave a violent shake. She didn't care if he hit her now, she knew she had to do damage with this bite, for she could hear her brother's plight and knew he could fight no more. As she tore away at his soft stomach, Legosa's jaws closed around her head. She snarled in protest but still did not pull back; if she were going to die, she would do all she could to take her father's murderer down with her.

Legosa

As soon as he got the hold on her skull, he bit down hard, straining with every ounce of strength to apply all fifteen hundered pounds of pressure to the bones of her cranium. The pain in his gut made his vision swim, and very nearly made him loose his grip on Skye. But he managed to hold, eyes watering with agony but remaining cold and vicious as the glared at his enemy. His snarls grew sharp and deafening as he bit harder and harder, desiring to hear, to feel, the crush of skull between his ravening fangs. With all the noise and intense pain, the words of his wounded daughter somehow drifted to his hearing. From all appearances, it seemed as though he did not hear, but he had. While he forced all the strength he could muster in his muscles, he brought a heavy paw up tried to bring it sharply across Skye's nose. He wanted to bring her pain.

Emerald Rain & Silver Skye

Silver Skye winced as pressure grew around her head. She was a large dog, but her skull was no match for so much brutal force. For a fleeting moment, she withstood the force, and savored the taste of her enemy's blood on her tounge. In the next moment, she felt her body flinch, and then nothing. She didn't feel her skull splinter inward where the canines bored in. One moment she was feeling, and then next she wasn't. Her body shuddered before dropping lifeless to the ground, her eyes staring wide but sightlessly ahead.

Emerald Rain struggled up again, gasping badly for air and coughing hoarsely. He tried to speak, but his voice was robbed, and so was his strength. He fell again, having no more energy to fight. Fear glistened in his orbs as the rolled to see Legosa.

Legosa, Phelan & Sweetclover

Legosa dropped the fae with a bloody smirk, then turned to face Emerald Rain. As he turned, however, a horrible pain clutched at his stomach, forcing him to the ground as he held back a yelp. The pain was almost blinding as it surged through his abdomen, and he struggled to remain in control. Slowly, he righted himself and stood, taking a few stiff steps forward before sitting slowly back on his haunches, gritting his crimson teeth all the while. Hazy, blood-shot eyes found their way to Emerald Rain, who he could see was of no further threat. Then they fell upon Sweetclover and Lost, "Take her to the.. farm." He hissed out, his voice partially stolen by the pain.

Sweetclover looked uncertainly to her father and opened her mouth to speak. But Legosa spoke quicker, "Do as I SAY!" His voice was louder this time, crackled and hoarse but nonetheless authoritive.

Not going to speak against him again, Sweetclover took hold of Lost's scruff, being careful to cause her as little discomfort as possible. Then she proceeded to drag her to the Woodland Farm, heading for the Barn area.

Phelan didn't need to be told anything; he wasn't going to sit around with his father right now, so he followed his sisters at a distance.

Legosa watched as his childeren disappeared in the distance. As soon as they were out of sight, he closed his eyes and dipped his head down and gave a groan. He couldn't show weakness in front of them, despite how badly his stomach hurt. After several long moment, he brought his weary eyes up and looked to Emerald Rain with cold satisfaction, waiting for him to die. He would have tortured him on Lost's behalf, but he could scarecely bare to move himself.

Emerald Rain

Emerald Rain's breath came harder and harder to draw in, leaving his chest to flutter up and down in an increasingly weakened manner. He tried half-heartedly to choke out a word or two, but all that came of his efforts was a spittle of blood from his gaping jaws. A torturous minute past as he lay prone on the ground, and then another minute. It seemed like eternity before the pain started to eb just slightly. It felt his limbs were vibrating; the sensation crawled up through his body until it reached his head. No longer could he see Legosa or Silver Skye. He couldn't feel the horrible pain in his chest, or the agony of being deprived of oxygen which his lungs screamed for. A humming persisted in his ears, faint but detectable. And then, he was gone.
