*Noise*
In a very dense tangle of dead reads and stunted shrubs, a great deal of splashing can be heard...
Frostfur
Frostfur carefully approched the noise. What could it be? Her curiousity often got her into trouble. Frostfur laid down on her belly and looked through the shrubs and reeds.
*Alligator & Fish*
As you get closer, you can now see what is causing all the ruckus. Its an alligator caught up in a large fishing net! The gator is about as long as you are; not too big of one, but still very powerful.
The gator is tightly wrapped up in the net, and the net is tangled up in the little shrubs. Several fish are also stuck in the net. So far, the gator hasn't seen you...
Frostfur
She smelled the air. A gator! She thought. Frostfur got closer and saw the net. Alligator, do you need help? She asked slowly and softly, trying not to scare it.
*Alligator*
The alligator stopped a moment, startled that he was being watched. Feeling terribly vulnerable, he puffed out his throat and hissed angrily, "No, I don't need any help!" The alligator thrashed again, spraying water this way and that. Some of the netting had dug into his soft underbelly, cutting it so that blood began to seep out. After a moment of struggling, the alligator lost energy and lay still. Unlike mammals, these reptiles couldn't expend energy for long, expescially when it was cold. "I..." The alligator spoke again, this time in a less angered voice, "...need help." He knew he'd die if no one else helped him, so he relented this time and hoped that Frostfur was still in a helping mood after he hissed at her the first time.
Frostfur
She got closer. Just a moment. she barked. Frostfur bit at the rope as hard as she could. You need to bite the top of the net as hard as you can Frostfur advised.
*Alligator*
The alligator listened passively, having used up virtually all his energy in the futile struggling. As Frostfur began to bite at the rope, the gator did his best to chomp and tear at the parts near his mouth. Soon, the net began to fray... It wasn't long until the alligator had his head free, and one of his front legs. "Hey, I think it's working!" he cried out in surprise, but he could not reach the rest of the netting.
Frostfur
She nodded. "Yes, you're teeth are better than mine. I have heard about a gator named Galar. Are you him?" Frostfur asked.
Alligator
He snorted a bit and shook his head, though her comment about his teeth pleased him very much, "That soft-tooth? No. He's bigger than me, but what a strange fellow he is! Him and his two adoptees don't attack..." The reptile stopped himself, for he was about to say 'wolves'. "Well, no, I'm not him." The gator wriggled about in the netting, finding more of it slip off his scaly hide. It wasn't long before it all slipped off, worn and cut by all the chewing. "Say, thanks for your help. Is there... anything I could do to return the favor?"
Frostfur
She laughed. Just don't eat me. Kidding of course you won't well I've been a little hungry...
Alligator
He showed an alligator grin, "I'll make that exception for you, I guess. That's the least I could do, after all." He listened to her next words and tilted his head thoughtfully. "I'm not quick enough in this weather to catch anything... but..." the gator looked back into the cold waters, "I've stored some elk meat under a log. The cold water has kept if fresh. I could bring you some if you wish." He offered. It was very common for gators to stuff food underwater for later times; but in the cold winter, none of them would be eating anything anyway, so he was more than glad to give up some food to this wolf.
Frostfur
"Thank you." She said gratfully.
