Storm Alarm, Railu
The new alpha of the Sedge Creek pack padded slowly into the marshes. She howled out for her pack's long time friend, Galar.
The black hued son of Storm Alarm hobbled after her. He was panting hard by the time they stopped. He sat down, trying to catch his breath. He bones ached worse than ever, but he didn't let his mother know. He waited to see who this friend was. He never met Galar before.
Glider
Storm Alarm's mate was soon to follow her and his son. He paused beside them and looked at his son with concern, but didn't say anything. He also waited for Galar.
Galar
It didn't take long before the alligator appeared. He crawled up onto the shore, "Hello Storm Alarm, Glider! And who is this?" Galar asked, inching closer to Railu. He yellowish eyes studied to sickened wolf.
Starlit Eyes
Starlit Eyes slows down considerably when she spots the three strange wolves. One of them seemed very sick, or injured; she couldn’t tell. Cautiously, the wolf hybrid approached her friend Galar while looking at Storm Alarm, "Who are you?"
Flurry
She takes notice of the strange wolves too. She listens for an answer but pads over to Galar. "Hi Galar! Spark told you of what happened right. It was terrible. Those humans pushed us and tried to tease us with food and they poked us with thorns and put us in cages. They even separated me and Starlit a few times. And we had these agitating ropes on our necks. But we knew we couldn't attack or we'd be in big trouble cause we might have never come back. There was a few times I wanted to rip the humans to shreds. So anyway how have you been. Nothing bad happened here right?" She said excitedly to see Galar but her voice was a bit agitated when she explained what happened and the last sentence she asked with concern.
Storm Alarm & Railu
Storm Alarm's fur bristled when she picked up the strong scent of humans on these two canines. "Are there humans with you?" she asked, rumbling slightly.
Railu felt too weak to move much, but he pinned his ears back in fear. He didn't like the scent of humans that Flurry and Starlit carried. The crippled wolf glanced at Galar, "I'm Railu. Storm Dancer's son." Railu then glanced back at Starlit and Flurry.
Flurry
She looks away from Galar at the wolves. She smirked and she bristled her fur also and held her tail high. "No there's no humans with us. Why would there be. The only human I trust is the lady at the Woodland farm. I'm Flurry." She said in an agitated voice. Why were these wolves being nasty to them is what she wondered. Flurry jumped into the water near Galar to wash the humans scent off her best she could. She then looked back to Galar. "Are the young ones around?"
Galar
He became a little tense with his friends being a bit aggressive with each other. He listened to the stories they told him, and his eyes narrowed, "I'd like to tear those humans to shreds as well." Galar then answered Flurry's next question, "I don't know where they are, they should be here somewhere..." he lifted his broad jaws and gave a loud call for the little alligators. "They should be here soon."
Flurry
She nods to Galar. She looked to Starlit then the others.
Glider
Glider sighed, shaking his head slightly at the tension. "Little ones?" he then asked, "You have babies, Galar?" the alpha then looks to Starlit and Flurry, "Have you been friend with Galar for long?" his tone was more friendly than his mate's.
Flurry
She stopped bristling her fur when she heard Glider's friendly tone. "Yes actually for a long time now." She says.
Glider & Little Ones
Soon, two alligators, about a foot long each, glide through the water towards Galar. "Hello!" one pipes up, seeing Flurry and Starlit. They didn't know Glider, Storm Alarm, or Railu yet. "They aren't mine." Galar replies to Glider, "I found them in an abandoned nest... and some wolf friends of mine suggested I watch over them." he turns his head back a bit to look at the little replicas of himself. Then he looked back to Glider and Storm Alarm, "Where's Shadow? And her mate?"
Flurry
She smiles at seeing the little ones. She walks closer to them in the water. It wasn’t deep enough that she had to swim yet. "Hello! How hove you been?" She asks the two small alligators.
Glider & Little Ones
"We're good!" the little she-gator said enthusiastically. "I hear you and Starlit attacked some humans here to save Galar! I can't wait till I'm big like Galar."
The little male alligator floated in the water in front of Flurry with all four of his webbed feet spread out. He snapped a little minnow that darted past, but missed. He returned his attention to Flurry.
Flurry
She smiled as she listened to the young gator speak. Yup those humans were mean and they had big sharp objects. Yup we attacked those humans and I'd do it again to help you and Galar. I’m sure you will be big like Galar soon!" She said happily. She looked to Galar and Starlit. "Wouldn't you agree that they will be big soon?" She asks.
Galar
He nods, "Yeah, I hope they get big soon! Then they can fend for themselves."
The little male gator rolls his eyes, "You're just angry cause those other alligators make fun of you for taking care of us." The she-gator giggles at that. Galar turns and dips his head down to face the little gators, "I'm pretty hungry right now; I could solve the problem you of two being around and the others making fun of me by making a snack of you two." he opened his jaws slightly, showing all of his teeth in a grin again.
The little gators dart through the water and hide on the other side of Flurry. Galar grins more and lifts his head up from the water again.
Storm Alarm & Railu
Storm Alarm relaxes more, hearing that no humans were around. "Shadow has been missing since our pack got into a fight with a kodiak bear and her offspring. Her mate... my brother, is dead." Storm Alarm looked down for a minute, then back to Galar, "There was a tornado that came by during our fight. I don't know if Shadow made it out; we haven't seen her since then."
Railu drops his head down to his forepaws and watches Galar and the young alligators. He would have been much more interested in the reptiles, but he was too tired.
Flurry
She smiles knowing Galar was only kidding around with the young ones. She looks to them. "Don't worry Galar wont eat you. He's just joking." She said. She looked to both the little ones. "But you might want to watch out for the other ones." She said speaking of the mean alligators that lurked around some times that everyone had to look out for if they weren't bigger and stronger.
Galar & Little ones
Hearing the news Storm Alarm told her, Galar's eyes widened. He looked away for a moment, surprised. The alligator then looked back to Storm Alarm, "Won't you look for her, please?" he pleaded. He cared about all of his friends, and he had known Shadow for longer than any other wolf.
The little gators nodded, "Yeah, Galar has to scare off the other alligators, cause they try to come into his territory. Some of them are pretty big though."
Flurry
She nods and looks to the little gators. "Maybe you'll be very big when you get older. Perhaps bigger then Galar but he can get bigger also." She says to the little gators.
Storm Alarm & Railu
Storm Alarm dips her muzzle down, "We've tried, and we've waited for a very long time, Galar. I... I don't think she made it. But I promise you that if she ever comes back, I'll tell you."
Railu shifts uncomfortably beside his mother. His whole body ached with pain. The young wolf sighed heavily, wheezing as he did. Railu's dull eyes watched the little gators with mild interest.
Galar & Little Ones
Galar looked away once more, hoping his long time friend would be all right. At least the rest of his friends were. "Do any of you have any good names I can give to the little ones? I just can't think of any myself."
Flurry
She ponders for a moment and listens to Galar. She continues to think of names. "Suki which means Beloved or Dima which mean powerful warrior. Maybe some of those for the female and for the male maybe Kale which means mighty one or Akili which means wisdom."
Galar & Young
"Hhhmm." is all he says while looking back at the little gators. "Dima and Akili." he announces finally, nodding with his blunt snout to the male alligator for Dima and the she gator for Akili. Galar looks up at Flurry then, "Thanks for the name suggestions; now they just have to live up to them."
Dima and Akili look at each other and then to Flurry, "Yeah, thanks for the names!"
Flurry
She smiles. "Your welcome. I hope you like them!" She says happily.
Flurry
She looks to Starlit and begins to speak. "Perhaps we should go back to the Woodland Farm now.; we've been here for a while and I want to make sure the lady's ok cause you know allot of unwanted guests have bee around lately." She then looks to Galar and the two young gators.
Starlit
She nods, "You're right." Starlit dips her head down briefly, "It was nice talking to you again. Keep a watch out for the humans." she told Galar before sprinting off back to the Woodland Farm.
Flurry
She smiles and nods agreeing with Starlit. She knew Galar would watch out for humans. "Bye Galar, Dima, and Akili!" She barked happily before padding out of the terrain then sprinting after Starlit back to the woodland farm.
Storm Alarm & Railu
Storm Alarm watched the others leave, then turned her eyes to Galar, "If Shadow returns, you will be first to know. But... don't let your hopes up." The alpha gives a sympathetic smiles and nods to her pack's long time friend. "It was nice to meet you two, Dima and Akili. But we must go now, goodbye." Storm Alarm stood up and nudged Railu. The wolf moaned slightly. It took him almost a minute to pull his disease-weakened body up. Storm Alarm whimpered and licked his muzzle, "We're going home now, so you can rest. Very slowly, mother and son made it back to the Sedge Creek territory. Railu's death loomed near.
