Snowy Owl
The young white fae had traveled far from her pack lands while her father napped at the den site. She was several months old now, but not near her adult size yet. Her sides were very lean from lack of food, and now she sniffed about in hopes of quenching her terrible hunger.
Soren
The bald eagle spotted the white creature from the tree he was perched in and locked on whatever it was it was a source of food. He took to the air and flew straight at the creature talons glistening in the sunlight.
Snowy Owl
Snowy Owl had never seen an eagle before, and had never known the birds of prey as being a danger to her. Here was a harsh lesson in the making; if she survived it. Hearing a whoosh of air behind her, the youngster turned her head back just as Soren closed in. She yelped shrilly as the talons raked across her head and face, striking her with such force that she fell to the ground in a daze.
"Ouch! What was that!" She cried out, scrambling to pick herself up. Blood trickled from various gashes and stained her hueless fur.
Soren
Soren grinned the bird was his. He struck again hoping to lodge his claws into the creatures head. He screeched and dived at the creature.
Snowy Owl
The pup yelped pitifully, pawing at the eagle as she felt his talons claw through her skin and reach the bone of her skull. Blood streamed down her face and muzzle. "Daddy!" She yelped out, trying to fight the bird of with feeble snaps of her jaws.
Soren
Soren heard the pups cries for her daddy that could be bad. He let go of her and took to the sky he then dived again hoping to snap her spinal cord. He aimed his talons at her neck she was almost finished. He would have to watch out for her father though.
Snowy Owl
The pup picked herself up and made a blind dash for cover; blind because one of her eyes was damaged by Soren's talons, and the other was covered in blood from wounds around it. She tripped before ever reaching any sort of shelter and lay sprawled on her side as the eagle struck again, gouging more of her body with his deadly weapons, but not yet hitting her spine. She yelped weakly and kicked out a bit before resting her head down. She felt too weak to fight back. A few more bites and clawings, and she'd be dead.
Aava & Esprit
Aava and her daughter heard the cries and callings from a pup she knew was from her pack. He allowed a howl to echo out among the trees and over the waters, an eerie sound peircing the normal one. With a snarl, Aava appeared, fangs bared, jaws open wid, as she dashed for Snowy Owl, and she lowered her head to pick up the pup by the nape, and then she stopped, low growls emitting from deep in her throat as she shot a warning glare to the bird.
Esprit came as well, snarling right after her mother. She came to stand next to her, and she watched the bird, pitiness showing in her eyes.
