Jade

The small orphan pup stumbled into the area, sreaching for what she didn't know. Jade was only a month old and already left to fend for herself. As she went to step down from a rock, she slipped and came falling down hard and landed wedged inbetween a few rocks and branchs from dead trees. She began to shake and whimper. She had nothing in her life, no one at all, would someone help her?

Azra

Azra smiled at the male, happy that he seemed so willing to do so. She wagged her tail as she watched him run off into the bush, sitting down as she did so, now anxious to see how fast he could get a hare for her.

She planned on watching until Tesla returned, but a small sound stirred her thoughts. She immediantly knew it to be a young creature, a canine pup. She checked the winds and found out it to be a female wolf pup. She nearly jumped up and looked around, not wanting to leave the spot Tesla knew to be, especially since he was doing a favor for her.

The whimpers were too much for her soft heart and she whinnied softly to Tesla, though she knew he couldn't hear, he would understand... she reasoned with herself. With new determination to find the poor beast she padded down towards the sound, carefully and wisely chosing the right spots for her dainty paws.

Though full grown, she was much smaller then the average wolf. She hoped this fact, as well as her non threatening stance, would help the pup feel more safe as she neared her. She approached somewhat quickly and gently liked the pup's muzzle, tring to comfort her.

Azra managed to give the little one a comforting smile, though she worried that the pup was alone. "Hello there... I'm Azra." She gave a look around, it wasn't good for the young wolf.

Jade

When she heard the wolfess comeing towards her she flatened her auds against her head and began to shake when she stood over her. Never had she spoken in her life and she still wouldn't, maybe though her name to only one if she had to but other then that she would keep quiet. A small whimmper came from her maw as if to say please help me.

Azra

Azra smiled at the little one. Of course she would help, and she didn't mind too much that the pup didn't talk. She didn't look that old anyhow. She moved up behind her, laying down on the cold ground beside her. She curled around the little one with a mother's care and gentle movements, trying to keep her warm. She wasn't sure exactly what she needed, but warmth and maybe food was always a good place to start.

Jade

The small pup's whimmpering came to a stop when Azra curled up around her and felt the warmth of her fur. There was still one problem though, she was still stuck belly up inbetween the rocks. Maybe if Azra pulled gently on her legs and Jade wiggled a bit she would slip free, but they wouldn't know until they tried to get her out.

Azra

Azra nudged the young pup softly and tried to figure out which was the best way to get her out as quickly and gently as possible. She ended up doing just as the pup thought she could do, pulling as gently as she could on the fragile legs.

Jade

When Azra began to pull on her, it hurt at first, but then she began to wiggle back and forth. Then after a few moments of pulling, she came loose, and had a semy smile on her face, and licked Azra's nose to say thank you. She stood up and walked over to her belly and layed down and snuggled deep into her side to get warm.

Tesla

The male had finally blundered upon a hare, scaring it witless at first and managing a swift kill. He picked up the small animal and carried it toward the others, noticing a different smell in the air. He dropped it in front of Azra and noticed the pup, then looked at Azra with a coccked cranium, inquiring the situation.

Azra

Azra winced when she knew she was causing the pup pain, but was glad she was willing to help. She felt a happy sensation when the pup licked her nose, smiling happily as she did. She returned the lick, and watched the little one make her way to her own belly.

She knew the pup was getting warm, and she curled more around her, ensuring she was getting as warm as she could. She began feeling the need to protect the pup, though she knew she had no relation to it. She suddenly feared her mate, what was he going to do to it? Azra knew it silly to worry about her mate, but the mothering instinct which was strong in her was sure kicking in. She scanned the terrain, waiting for his arrival.

He was soon spotted, and she thumped her tail at the ground on seeing the hare in his mouth. As he approached her hair involuntary bristled, which was quickly placed back down. She licked his muzzle (if it was close enough without disturbing the pup) and smiled in thanks. When his gaze shifted over to the pup, her smile slowly changed to a hopeful gaze.

"She was stuck, I decided to help. Now, well, you see." She paused, looking fondly on the pup. "What should we do know? We can't just leave it." That would be dreadful! She already felt sorry for the poor critter.

Tesla

The male tried to hide back a slight smile; he was a gangly creature, ruddy and shaggy almost everywhere, and had never pictured himself too frightening...But, to a pup, he would understand, yet, he felt a slightly different emotion verberating from his mate and cocked his head.
"Well, does she have a family that may be looking for her?" He looked down at her, but feeling the new emotion from Azra, kept a bit still from approaching her just now. "I suppose we could take care of her until her family comes to look for her..." Though in the back of his mind he really didn't beleive that one would come...

Azra

Azra noticed how tesla kept his distnace from her and felt immediantly guilty for her actions, but could not help it for some reason. She glanced back at the pup, or back at where she assumed the hiding pup was, smile returning as she thumped her tail about it. A sigh escaped from her and she looked back at Tesla, "I don't know if she has a family..." she paused, feeling odd about talking about her in front of her. She has not shown any sign of talking yet, but she might be able to talk...

In the back of her mind she was happy that Tesla did not seem to totally push the pup away, her new found emotions residing just a bit. The aroma of the hare was getting to her, but she felt this matter must be settled first.

Tesla

He looked down at the pup and felt a slight feeling, not of jealousy, but of pride for his mate and the pup. Looking around, he sniffed the air for a sign of family around that the femme pup may belong to; partly for fear of growing attatched and then finding her family later, and, the other part hoped they wouldn't find one...
"Well, perhaps you should eat a bit, I'll scour the land for a bit."
He gave her a gentle nudge, pushed the rabbit toward her and turned to search the lands a bit.

Jade

Jade slowly came out from behind Azra when she realized that Tesla wasn't going to hurt her, but to protect her. She sat listening to who speak about family, which she hadn't any of. A small whimmper was emitted from her maw, and her back against her head in memory, respect for her dead mother. Orbs watched as the brute went to search for something he would never find.

Azra

Azra just thumped her tail a bit more, smiling at her mate. She licked the air, though missing Tesla's muzzle, when he nudged her. As Tesla left, she gave her attention back to the little one.

She heard the whimper and whined back, tail thumping to say that she was sorry. She watched the pup a while before turning back to the hare. She sunk her teeth into it and brought it closer to the pup. The young girl couldn't of been too old, did she eat meat yet? She took a small chunk and began digesting it, nudging the meat towards her in encouragement. Azra paticently watched for her reaction.

Tesla

The brute pawed his way around a large area of land, scoping and sniffing the air for signs of life familiar to the pup back with his mate. His fur bristled as he thought of her alone with a pup-a pup that could be considered food to one of the braver crocodiles...He turned, looked back and scented the air for danger, then trotted forward a few feet, still searching, but now torn between leaving his mate.
Just as Azra's maternal instincts had kicked in, a natural, agressive and instinctive feeling came over him-the need to protect what was his and what he loved. He turned and walked backa few feet, keeping his mate in view, but still looking for other signs of life.

Azra

Azra knew that Tesla was staying in eyesight, and was actually quite comforted by this, knowing he was watching over her. She chewed thoughtfully on a rabbit leg, watching Jade with a motherly eye.
