Twlight Reign

The hybrid sauntered lazily over the frozen ground, feeling quite thirsty. He approached the bank of a deeper part of the marsh and reared up. The ebony hybrid then slammed his front paws into the ice until it gave way. With the water revealed, Twlight began to drink greedily.

Legosa

Legosa was still recooping after a serious blow to his pride. To say the least, it was suicidal for anyone save Mitya to disturb him. And apart from a wounded ego, his shoulder was still and sore, although healing again.

It didn't take long for the ghostly-toned brute to spot the son of the alpha he'd slain early this fall. A smirk came across Legosa's lengthy muzzle as he thought back to the murder. There was suddenly purpose in the lumbering dog's stride as he trailed Twilight's scent. Moving with great haste and silence across the ground, Legosa sprung from behind Twlight and tried to send him into the icy water.

Twilight Reign

A startled yelp escaped the ebony dog's throat as he was shoved forward. His dark claws clattered over the ice without finding much traction. Another yelp was issued when his front end plundged overthe ice hole. The rest of his furry body followed.

Panicked beyond common sense by the shocking bite of the frigid water and the sudden attack, Twilight came up a foot away from his ice hole, hitting his head against the frozen water above. He clawed frantically at the ice above his head, having no idea which way the hole lay.

Legosa

Legosa stood smirking and staring down at the dark form under the ice. Was it murder if Twilight drowned? No, it'd be an unfortunate accident and his own blasted fault for not being observant enough! Or that's what Legosa was perfectly fine with thinking, depending on who asked him. The dog's cold, dark eyes were fixed on the struggling form in the water but his ears were on the alert of anything around him as he waited for the hybrid's death.

Aaka

Lucky for Twighlight Aaka had been searching for him along with the others. As she came to Galars Marsh she snarled at the sight of Legosa if she hadnt seen Twighlight she would have attacked. When she saw him push Reign she snarled and leaped to help him while the others charged out of the woods for Legosa. She ran to the hole skidding on the ice and began to bark down trying to call to him.

Moon spirit leaped at Legosa and growled low protecting her sister from him before he could do anything

Legosa

Legosa wheeled around quickly, hearing them approach. He was glad for the winter air that sharpened sound and made it easier to hear! Legosa sprung away from Moon Spirit with a grinning flash of his fangs, "Don't be hasty, my femme. I didn't harm a hair on his body." Legosa's words were taunting and arrogant and backed up considerably by his delighted and sly looking expression. He was wary of their allies, but out in the open of the marshes, he was confident that he could make an easy escape if more showed up. Until then, he was content to hang around a bit and see what happened.

Twilight Reign

The dog struggled furiously, clawing at the ice that held him back. Try as he might, he couldn't find the hole which he fell through and was actually moving further away from it. Then he heard Aaka's voice and vaguly saw her form through the frozen water. His eyes widened and he dug with renewed fury at the ice as little bubbles of vanishing breath escaped his nose and mouth.

Ghost Walker

Anger coursed through his veins as he stalked silently behind Legosa. Wolves made noise wherever they went. It was goining to be very hard to hear him. He leaped at Legosa from behind never making a sound.

Galar Date Posted: Jan 23, 05 - 1:33 PM Message: He had heard the sound of ice breaking when Twilight had first smashed through it to get a drink. But the waters were so cold that the reptile took a very long time to get around and judge what was going on. He was almost zombie like during the winters.

Using the special sensory organs on his snout, he could easily feel the hybrid's thrashing in the water and even the creatures walking about above him. For a moment the chilled reptile was motionless on the bottom of the marsh as he spotted Twilight struggling to get free. Things came slowly to him when it was this cold. Then, swimming as fast as he possibly could, Galar rammed the ice with his snout. The ice shuddered and gave way under the tremendous blow, leaving a sizable hole. Whipping his head to the side, Galar snapped up Twilight and flung him, or at least tried to, towards the opening in the ice. Because of his impared judgement during the winter, Twilight most likely recieved a few broken ribs from Galar's bite. But the alligator meant well anyway.

Legosa

Being overly cautious, the white brute made a point to use all his senses to be on guard of Aaka and her numerous allies. It was not sound that he detected the cougar with, but touch. Standing on ice, he could more easily feel vibrations across the flat, thin surface. Something rather large approaching! Legosa turned quickly, wincing slightly at his pained shoulder. Just in time, he ducked and slid to the side, nearly loosing his traction on the ice. Scrambling against the slippery surface, Legosa put a few feet of distance between him and the cougar, "Can't fight your own battles, darling?" Legosa laughed.

Aaka

Aaka seeing Twighlight being flung out turned and said harshly "Leave all of you. Ghost Walker whatpart of watch Namir didnt you understand?" She turned her weary yellow eyes to Legosa and smiled almost warmly. "Hello Legosa. Hows the shoulder?" she stalked closer and closer to him as if she did this everyday being sure to keep her injured shoulder hidden from him.

Legosa

A devilish smirk creeped over his muzzle and more attention was focused on Aaka; although he knew better than to let up his guard.

"Perfetly fine. Nice to see you care." He replied in a tone of mocking flattery, "You're quite the little heroine, aren't you darling?" Legosa stood tall and flicked his eyes towards the soggy mess of a hybrid on the ice before looking to Aaka again and tensing up.

Aaka

She put a look of mock hurt on her face and said still stalking closer "You make it sound as if I hate you Legosa. You know thats not true. Oh did you hear? I took over the Silver Glades territory. And here I thought they were strong" she laughed quietly and stopped a mere yard away from him. Softly she said "Hows Mitya?" this time her tone wasnt mocking or challenging. It actually sounded real. Amazingly it was.

Legosa

He held a look of smug arrogance as she came closer, and relaxed slightly. "The Silver Glades?" His tone didn't reveal a whole lot of emotion. Of course it wasn't good for Mitya that the pack was taken, he was quite impressed by the feat, "My, you're stronger than you let on. You've got guts, I have to admit." His eyes narrowed slightly in suspiscion by her last question, but he put it aside as harmless and replied in a light tone, "She's just fine. And I'd like it to stay that way." He was quite enjoying this chat with Aaka. There were enemies that he wanted to tear to peices or mock. And then there were enemies that he could hold mutual conversations with like they were good friends. So long as he was confident he was in no danger, that is.

Aaka

She smiled at his compliment but before long her eyes narrowed and she stepped aside Legosa and walked past him on his left side and snarled. "Storm stop right there. What part of beat it dont you understand?" she would have gone on but another creature came out of the woods springing for her. She let out a snarl as the large hyper lynx landed pm top of her. Excitedly Miglisi said "Aaka! Aaka! We have the cougar! Haha! We have the cougar and Ghost Walkers watching him!" Aaka tried to wrigle out from beneathe the excited lynx wincing at how painfulfully she had landed on her own shoulder. Finally Miglisi got up and bounded towards Legosa "Hi! Im Miglisi whats your name?" before Legosa could speak an irritable Moon Spirit came out and grabbed Miglisi. Nodding her head towards Aaka she and Storm began to drag the hyper lynx away leaving Aaka and Legosa alone once more. Aaka stood wincing as some of her stiches threatened to tear.

Legosa

He whirled around, the threat of attack hot on his mind. Those notions were quickly put at bay when he saw it was a little party of new bearers. A cougar? Cortinarri's cougar, no doubt. He thought to himself, unable to help a smile that creased his mug again. The idea of hostages and pack take-overs thrilled him.

As Miglisi bounded towards him, Legosa tensed with aprehension, knowing a lynx was usually more than a match for the average wolf or dog. But he kept his smug posture and looked coolly down at the feline, determined not to look foolish, "Legosa." Now if some dog had come bounding up to him like that, Legosa would have apt to rip it to pieces.

Now the large brute turned back to Aaka, "Interesting friends. A fine lassie like yourself; it's not surprising now that you've defeated the Silver Glades. Good ridence to them." Legosa could almost laugh now, thinking back to when he wanted to kill Aaka at the Ruins. Now they were talking like good friends! It was good Mitya wasn't here...

Aaka

She smiled slightly and walked past Legosa once more not bothering to hide her newly wounded shoulder. She took up her old place and lay down still somewhat tense. She listened and said softly "They all should be gone now. So tell me Legosa. Do you have a packland of your own now?" She shivered slightly and stood up and began to pace. It was an old habit of hers for she hated sitting still for long. She couldnt help it.....Stupid genetics.

Twilight Reign

Twilight lay gasping and coughing on the ice, wondering how he was still alive. His sides hurt him a great deal, but he was thankful to be able to suck in the good fresh air once more. After catching his breath, he turned his striking eyes to Aaka and Legosa. A shudder went through him and he cringed to the ground, "You should kill him... he's a murderer." Twilight's voice was weak and timid, but insistant. He was now very humble and feared what Aaka thought of him since he ran from the battle at the Ruins.

Legosa

His eyes flashed momentarily from Aaka's wounds to Twilight cowering on the ice. He was easily disgusted by the hybrid and would have loved nothing more than kill the cowardly creature. But there was conflic in him; to kill Twilight would mean... well, it would mean a strike against Aaka. And strangly enough, Legosa didn't want that.

There was another conflic rising in him as well. Could he suddenly trust Aaka? And where was this question of her's leading...? Legosa hid the tension of his mind and kept his cool demeanor, "None to speak of." A smirking grin came to him, but there was nothing sinister about it, "Thing is, I would have had a pack just noth of yours. The Sora Asiatic. But ah... well, it's occupied." he didn't want to admit that he had been recently defeated in a fight there.

Aaka

Aaka nodded her head and she turned to Twighlight "Tell me. Why should I kill him? You need to learn to be more cautious. Never be trusting of your surroudings" Aaka had found that out the hard way and she had scars to prove it. She turned back towards Legosa and sat in front of him dancing on her two front feet. Smiling she said "Deaths gettin angry at me. Not sure why....I think he wanted the Silver Glades" she laughed at this and turned her eyes back to the cowering hybrid. Sighing she stood up and stalked over to him. "Get up. Quit cowering at everything. You may not belong to my pack but I will not put up with cowards. Moon Spirit wants you to be stronger. Im gonna make you stronger. And feel hapy about it. I could ask Legosa to do it."

Legosa

Legosa couldn't help it; he was being charmed by Aaka! Well that was his only downside as far as weakness went. The idea that she could be baiting him to be killed came to his mind, but he just told himself to go with it. So what if it turned out to be a trick? He'd learn from his mistakes. Of course, he'd be left high and dry when it came to Mitya... oh the thought nearly made him shudder!

Here it was, he made his decision. He'd trust Aaka. "Death, huh? Sounds like an interesting fellow. Bet I could keep him at bay, if he tries to take your tera." Legosa looked to Twilight and snorted with disdain, "Sniveling coward! You disgrace the name of all canines. And your mother." He knew Black Fyre well, for she had been the most wanted wolf by the humans; and oh what a bane she was to him! A great thorn in his paw! But she was dead, thank goodness.

Twilight Reign

Twilight shivered not only from the cold but from the words. Why couldn't he be more like his brother? It was true what Legosa said... he had disgraced his mother's proud name! His jaws worked to speak, but no sound came out. Greatly humbled and degrated, the hybrid turned from then and slunk away in shame.

Aaka

She smirked and turned back to Legosa "Oh hes interesting all right. I think you two would get along great." She thought a moment. She had never known Black Fyre and she also knew that within moments her sister would be coming to reprimend her for treating one of her packmates in such a fashion. But at the moment she didnt care. All she cared about were the feelings of trust that kept playing at the corners of her mind. Quietly she walked over to Legosa and said "Do you have a place to stay?"

Legosa

This was what he was waiting for and bracing himself to hear. It would be betraying Mitya... unless she could accept such a drastic change. This would be the turning point of no return. As if none of these thoughts ever crossed his mind, he answered simply and slyly, "No, I've got no place in the world right now. Would this be a kind offer into your residence, little lassie?" 'Little Lassie', as he called her, was a nickname he had just come up with. He was beginning to call others by nicknames now, just as a strange part of his attitude. 'Darling' and 'lady' were among the other names he gave to faes he spoke to.

Galar

Galar lifted his broad snout above the water, also getting a good few gulps of air. The tip of his snout was reddened from bashing into the ice. He had to break the ice often in order to create a breathing hole for himself! He would love to stay and chat with the canines, but the water was colder near the surface, so he retreated to the bottom of the marsh to sleep for an hour or so.

Aaka

Aaka would normally have killed anyone who called her 'Little Lassie' or anyother pet name. But at the moment she figured that she could put up with it. Besides. Just a few hours ago someone had called her 'mlady' that one pissed her off. "Yes it would Legosa. For the time being until you can get a packland of your own. Tell Mitya that she can stay also but she must at least listen a little. And Im gonna warn you both. Dont mess with either one of the cougars there. One is the cub cougar of Cortinarris. The others a friend of mine. I learned awhile back not to mess with him" she winced when she said this and waited for his answer

Legosa

He wasn't for sure, but Legosa thought he noted a bit of annoyance from Aaka; but maybe not. In any case, a smirk was drawn more prominently to his mug. "If she doesn't kill me first for talking to you. And I don't intend to get myself killed by a cougar anytime soon, nor any cat." His eyes flashed to her shoulder now as he stood brooding over something in his mind.

Aaka

Aaka smiled as he said this and said softly "Well if she wont talk to me you can go to my sisters territory. She wouldnt mind.....At least she wouldnt mind Mitya. Just you.....Never try and kill one of her packmates. I also found that one out the hard way" she lifted her head a bit revealing a scar under her chin. She shook her head. "Either way your welcome to join us."

Legosa

"Not takling to me is what I'm least worried about." he stated with a gruff laugh. "I just hope they don't consider this treason and come to execute me. But ah, I'm used to it. What the fun of life without any thrills?" He voice changed just slightly, ending in a dangerous sort of whisper. Legosa's next words were normal again; cool and collected, "So where'ere you off to now? Gotten into anymore trouble?"

Aaka

She smiled and said "By the looks of it theres a fight at the alleys that ive gotta attend to. Manovs a little angry and brought all of his little friends. Care to join me?" she knew that Legosa was a fighter. and this was to be the fight of a lifetime.

Legosa

His ears perked up more as excitement danced in his eyes. But there was another look... one of uncertainty. "If I help you with this fight... then I've broken my ties with Mitya. Or she breaks them with me, for I have no quarrel against her." Unlike most canines in his situation which would ask for protection or alliance first, Legosa wasn't one for making allies. He never trusted one completely and was almost always skeptical of everyone's intentions.

"I'll join you." Legosa said finally, unable to pass up an opportunity to fight. Since Aaka and her allies had won the last fight, Legosa was keen to be on the winning side this time. And that was with Aaka.
