*Humans*

A continuous rumble makes its way down a stretch of open water. The rumble comes from a boat carrying three humans. One human carries something long and shiny in his hand, with a thick string leading off it.

After a while, the boat stops, and the man set down the shiny pole thing. A second man pulls out a pole that's much thinner, with a string dangling from it that is too hard to see. He flicks the pole, and the string casts out into the water with a hook and piece of worm on it. A third man does something similar. The third scans the water, and the boat slowly drifts around the marsh.

Flurry

She pads in looking for Galar. Careful not to go to close to the waters edge until he shows himself. "Galar! Galar! It's me Flurry. Please come out." She says. She pads along the shore and finally sits noticing the humans. She wasn't scared of them just wary. She knew not to go near strange humans. She goes behind some foliage half visible as she waits for Galar. She hid in the foliage just in case.

Galar

The reptile doesn't take long to reveal himself. His broad snout comes up from the water, followed by the rest of his body. He pulls himself half way out of the water, "Hello Flurry!" He glances back at the boat, and rumbles slightly. He knew boats as horrible things that killed fish and alligators.

Flurry

She smiles. "Hi Galar. Just came to visit. A lot's been going on at home. These rude dogs and wolves were around before but Starlit, Spark and I keep our eye on them." She said explaining what happened at the Woodland Farm. She heard Galar rumble at the boat. She hadn't really ever seen a boat full of people before. "Galar what is that thing with those people on it. It doesn't look good."

Galar

He listens to her explain about the dogs and wolves that came. "If they ever threaten you, just bring them down here." the gator gave his usual toothy grin by opening his jaws enough to show all his teeth. Then his attention turned back to the boat. "When it moves, it's very loud. It carries those humans around on it, and they usually catch fish. But a lot of times, they bring the humans here to kill alligators. And one time, a boat came by with a human on it that shot a dart at me and a wolf friend of mine, Shadow. It only made us fall asleep, but usually they kill us." Galar turned his broad head around to better see the boat. "If they come this way, hide."

*Humans*

The humans talk amongst themselves quietly, not yet noticing Flurry or Galar. One man casts out his line, and the bait hits the water very close to the shore where wolf pup and alligator are. A brightly colored bobber floats lazily in the water, marking where the bait was, and if any fish would bite.

Another man casts on the opposite side of the boat.

The third man picks up his thicker pole and scans the water again. His was not a fishing pole. It was a spear.

Flurry

She finally steps all the way out of the brush and pads to Galar. She nods. She then sees the poles but notices the sharp point on the spear. A slight snarl was given at it. She then looked back to Galar. "I will but you better go under the water too. If they are to fast for you to I can distract them probably and get away. I can't believe that those humans can be that terrible. Well there's the bad ones like them and the good ones like the lady Starlit, Spark and I live with I guess." She smiles. "I guess the young ones aren't around. Did you ever name them yet Galar?" She asks going to a better subject.

Galar

"I don't know where the little ones are right now." he began. Galar had now started calling them simple 'little ones'. "Last time I saw them, they were hunting in a shallow area not too far from here. I haven't named them either." his deeply golden eyes momentarily watch a large stork fly overhead. The bird wasn't flying in the direction of the young alligators, so Galar didn't bother to worry about it.

"I can call for little ones, if you want. I'm sure they've stopped hunting by now. Actually, they're probably hiding."

Flurry

She smiles. "No don't it's too dangerous with the humans around and that one has a spear." Flurry said noticing the bobber the human threw floating closer. She ignored it though cause there was no danger yet. She didn't know if they could see her and Galar. She steps into the water since it was a hot day. She wasn't worried about other alligators cause Galar was around. she steps in up to her neck smiling. "The water feels great, nice and cold, perfect for this hot day." She says.

*Humans*

The man with the bobber near Flurry and Galar finally notices the pup when she gets into the water. That’s when he sees Galar too. The man nudges the other two, and talks to them in whispers.

The one with the spear raises his weapon, but another man pushes the spear away, "Wait!" he whispered harshly, "Why not get the pup first? If it's a wolf, we can get some money off of it. Besides, I've got a better idea."

The man reaches into a pail and tosses out a half of fish towards Galar and Flurry. "Come on, have some nice fish." the man speaks, and holds another fish above the water.

Flurry

"Galar go underwater I will distract them. Get away." She sniffs the fish but doesn't touch it. She had doggy food before she came here. She smirks and barks at the humans staying by Galar so they wouldn't throw the spear. She hoped he'd go under water and swim away and hide.

Galar

He was hesitant to leave her with the humans, but Galar didn't argue. He pushed backwards and slipped beneath the murky waters and duckweed. Although it was murky water, Galar could still see the boat from beneath. His snout was also very sensitive, like all alligators, so he could pick up even the slightest vibrations. Galar was ready to strike the boat or any human that got near the shore.

*Humans*

The spearman shouted angrily, "Now look what you did!"

The other man ignored him and turned the boat on once more. The engine sputtered then roared into life, and the boat glided in a half circle until it was pointed directly at the shore. Then the boat began to get closer to the shore slowly. One man held out the fish still, over the water. "Here puppy, here's a nice fish for you. I'll bet you're hungry, right?" The man was about two yards from Flurry now as he leaned far over the boat and dangled the fish from his hand. "Nice doggy..."

The spearman held his spear tightly, although he figured Galar was long gone.

The last man crouched in the boat, holding something that neither Flurry or Galar would be able to see.

Galar

The terrible roaring motor would usually terrify him if it were this close. But he ignored that fear. He followed the boat as it made a half circle, then started to come towards the shore where his friend was. Still under the water, he swam to the front of the boat. He saw faintly the arm of the man reaching out. To him, it looked like the arm was going to reach out and snatch up the pup.

With his muscular tail, Galar suddenly launched his body upward. His broad, powerful jaws sprung open, ready to snap shut on the man's arm. If he got that, the alligator's weight would simply pull the man back down into the water with him, and out of sight of the human with the spear.

Flurry

"Galar don't the spear!" She yelled. The humans probably were looking to galar now so she jumped up on the boat and grabbed the spear pulling it out of the mans hand she threw the spear into deep water where the humans would think other alligators lurk. She gets ready to jump off the boat when she was far from the humans. She looks and gets ready to jump hoping Galar was ok.

*Humans*

The man with the fish didn't have enough time to pull himself back into the boat before Galar's jaws snapped shut around his arm. The spearman had just swung his spear around to aim it when Flurry took it and flung it into deeper water. The third man had been holding a net, and threw it at Flurry. The net had weights on the ends of it, and floats at the top. It would be difficult to get out of, and struggling with it might get the pup tangled even more.

Flurry

She knew Galar could get away but the net knock her in the water. Luckily her front paws were just free enough to carry her to land She struggled with the net slowly she stood on two legs getting sort of free to where she could run. The lady could get the net off if she could escape. She ran and hid hoping they didn't find her until Galar escape cause then she'd run.

Galar

With his jaws clamped tightly, Galar rolled around in a 'death roll', then shook the man's arm violently. The man's arm would be torn up badly, with many broken bones. If Galar were any bigger, the man wouldn't have an arm.

If that were the only human, Galar would have killed him there. But he knew there were two more. Releasing the man, the alligator lunged for the boat, snapping madly at it. Then he happened to see Flurry, tangled in the net, get to shore. He gave another snap at the boat, then disappeared beneath the water. Galar swam past the man he attacked and continued on until he was far enough away so the humans couldn't see him.

Flurry

She ran and almost escaped but the net caught a branch. She pulled away hoping it would get untangled. She was glad Galar escaped.

*Humans*

The two men in the boat struggle to pull their shocked companion out of the water. They quickly rapped the man's mangled arm in shreds of their own shirts to staunch the bleeding. They make angry human noises, and briefly look over the water. They don't see Flurry or Galar.

The boat roars to life yet again, and speeds off out of site and hearing.

The net Flurry is tangled in almost gets freed from the branch, but a patch of thorny shrubs catch on the net and holds it fast. If you struggle too much, the netting might begin to get tight around you and cut into your skin. Also watch out for the thorns!

Flurry

Glad the humans left she pads to the water after she gets the net free. It was still tangled on her though. She yells to Galar. "I'm safe and I am glad you are to. I've got to go to the lady so she can get the net off. Bye Galar." She says. She runs home with the net on.
