Hydras, Narsia, Bullet, Skeil, & Yersinia

The five canines headed into the marshes, leaded by their thick-furred and tall-standing alphess. Her fur was greatly contrasted by dark hues of black and brown set against sudden whites and pale grays.

Swinging in a light trot behind her were her brother and sister of the same litter. But they had a less outstanding pattern to their pelage. Mixturers of brown and dark gray dominated them, particularly Bullet. And unlike his wolfish-looking sisters, he looked just slightly more like a german shepherd.

Skeil had tuckered her smaller, short furred body between the beta sister and Bullet, trying to get sheilded from the wind. Being a pit bull gave her courage and tolerance she needed in the violent life of the Shadow Lurkers pack, but short, coarse fur didn't lend itself well to cold temperatures.

Yersinia was last. She was sliding down on the heirarchy scale, and her aunt was not helping that. More like forcing it on her for reasons known to no othes.

The pack searched about the area, lingering and moving slowly in search for prey.

Kiarra

Kiarra came out of the brush, nodding with a smile to them she moved to the back of the pack, searching for prey as well. She had been away for a while and it felt good to finally be back with her pack. She was full grown now, her grey coat shimmered in the sun. Her icey blue eyes searched the terrain for a rabbit mayber, or a doe? She didn't care, she was hungry and was sertan that her pack mates' where as well.

Ninaki, Kenyon, & Pirqua

Ninaki soon showed up and took his place beside his mate, nuzzling her once.

Pirqua sat on Kenyon's back, looking a bit ill with drooped wings. Kenyon turned his head back and plucked her up, then sat her down on a log. "Stay there, I'll be back when the hunt is over."

The hybrid scampered across the marshes to catch up with his pack. He was an adult now, but a very young one and with much still to learn. Kenyon was by far the largest of his litter and looked all wolf, but he had a very easy-going attitude. The gray-toned hybrid took a place near Kiarra and his sister, Yersinia as he searched for prey.

*Beavers*

A large mound of sticks and branches was a tale-tell sign of a beaver dwelling. The scent of these musky creatures was strong on the air, too. A few dozen yards away there was a fairly large beaver wondering around on the shore, seemingly confused.... there was no strange scent or injury about him, but he didn't act quite right...

Ninaki, Kenyon, & Pirqua

Ninaki suddenly paused, catching a differnt scent on the wind. He nudged his son and whispered something. With a glance to his mate, he turned away from the pack and headed away just for a brief while. Kenyon, with Pirqua, followed after.

Pirqua

The falcon came wheeling in from the skies and landed heavily infront of the alpha, "Hydras!" she called out, quite out of breath and reeling with exhaustion, "Ninaki... Kenyon... at Ghost's land... they need... help..." she was panting hard, and quite suddenly, she crumpled to the ground. She was unconscious.

Hydras, Narsia, Bullet, Skeil, & Yersinia

Hydras was about to give her pack orders on the attack on the beaver, but Pirqua had interupted that. Leaning down, Hydras listened intently to the frayed words of her friend. "Pirqua!" she barked sharply when the falcon went out. "Yersinia!" the alpha wheeled around now, "Take her to the Alleys. Hide and wait for us to return. If she gets worse, take her to the lady. The rest of you, follow me!" The fae's voice was urgent and demanding and she quickly headed for the Opake Mountains terra.

Narsia, Bullet, and Skeil tore across the ground, heading at a lightling pace after their leader.

Yersinia slunk forward quickly and nudged her friend lying limp on the ground. Then she picked her up carfully in her jaws and hurried back to the Alleys.
