Icelit
The white-tailed deer walked casually over the marshy grounds, flicking her flag of tail from side to side now and then. A crippling plague last year killed many of her kind and nearly took her own life, but with the help of humans, she managed to survive. But a critical part of her; instinctual fear; was nearly ereased. For this reason, she didn't have nearly the fear she should when encountering predators and other dangerous things.
Still, she was alert as she foraged on what little plants she could find. It was slightly warmer here then most other places in the valley.
Black Lies
massive charcoal lupine advanced towards the doe, hawks pinned. 'e moved near her, yet had eaten already and had no need to attack 'er. 'e spoke, the very first words in 'is time of being here.
.-|-.life must be harsh as a deer.-|-.
'e stepped from the shadows, allowing the doe to see he was a lupine in which ment no harm.
Icelit
Her tail flashed up and she stood ridgedly for a moment, but unlike any normal deer, she hadn't bolted away in alarm. Instead, she waited and listened to him speak. With surprising quickness, her fear subsided and her tail went back down as she took a step closer to Black Lies. "Last year was terrible." she affirmed, "There was a plagued that killed many of my kind."
Black Lies
he smiled
.-|-.i see. they call me Black Lies. your callings?.-|-.
he was surprised that the doe had stayed, for most fled no matter how calm the wolf was. banner is wagged in a greeting, tounge lolling out the side of his mouth as he panted from the heat.
Icelit
"Icelit." she replied merrily, flicking her tongue over her nose once so that it could pick up the wolf's scent better. "My friends tell me to be careful of other dogs and wolves. But you seem awfully nice!"
Black Lies
he smiled, banner waving politely
.-|-.most think that i'm really evil, but this is my normal adittude. and i never hunt a deer that is indangered, that would be poaching.-|-.
she chuckled, sticking out his tounge at the hunters who were dumb and poached deer. Black Lies prefered to be a scavanger, because he didnt like poaching, or hunting. now if the animal is dieing, or exremely sick, then thats a different story. but he liked Icelit, she was really sweet, and extremely nice. Black Lies liked having friends of other species, and if another wolf tried to attack Icelit, or any other deer of her kind, he would protect them, and attack the wolf.
Icelit
She lifted her head slightly and her dark brown eyes glistened with a smile. "It's a shame that some assume that! You are very nice. I've had some wolves try to attack me before, but my friends Flurry and Starlit saved me." the doe pointed out, then thought of something. "Do you know Galar?"
The doe was always glad to make new friends. And it seemed that if this wolf was her friend, why not be friends with Galar as well? "I think you and Galar have some in common."
Black Lies
'e smiled
.-|-.no, i've never met him... i'd love to do so though.-|-.
'e looke towards the water hopefully.
Icelit
"Good, I'll call for him!" stepping delicately towards the water, Icelit gave a strange, barking-type sound to call for the alligator. It was the loudest of noises she could make, and not one that was made a whole lot.
She turned to Black Lies, "He's pretty big, but he's a really nice fellow."
Black Lies
he smiled
.-|-.i've haerd of him. everybody says he is really friendly.-|-.
Galar
The chilled water slowed his body down quite a bit, making him slow to respond to calls. But he had heard his friend Icelit and headed towards the shore.
His large, dark, blunt snout was first to show out of the water, then the rest of his head and his greenish-yellow orbs. "Icelit, good to see you again! And," he turned his bright orbs to the stranger, "You've brought a friend? Good!" The large alligator clambered out of the water on his short, stubby legs, then plopped himself down. "I don't believe I've met you before? I'm Galar." He never had any fear of approaching strangers, unless they be humans.
