Turret
The large, white-hued hybrid padded into the marsh. He kept his senses alert for alligators as he waited for the others to show up.
Aminita
The pup wasn't far behind Turret. She splashed through the boggy grass and moss as she traveled through the marsh. "This place looks flood Turret... is it? And where's the alligators? I don't see anything." The pup padded over to the muddy shore of a large body of water. "Do they live in the water like the orcas? Or... on land like us?" She asked while peering down at her image on the water's serface. Lifting a paw, she swatted it down and dashed her image away.
Fresca & Kasna
The alpha pads in, followed by Kasna. She stops beside Aminita and sniffs at the water before taking a drink. "I don't know how those Orcas can stand that salty water. This is much better." she points out.
Kasna nods in agreement as he also takes a drink. The salt in his fur bothered him, so he stepped deeper into the water to wash it off.
Ebony Sky
She ran in and looked to Aminita. "No dont go close to the water. Aliligators can be dangerous. Im sure one will appear soon but stay a safe distance." She says. She had never met galar so she was careful. She howled hopeing an alligator would appear.
Dima & Akili
The two young alligators, now just over two feet in length, heard the call. They were delighted to go see who it was, since they had made friends of wolves, thanks to Galar. Akili, the female, was first to appear. She glided over to the shore and clambered easily onto land. Looking about at the Alley pack with the wide, charming eyes of hers, she spoke up, "I've never met you before! Who are all of you? I'm Akili." Again, she simply expected all wolves were nice and thus didn't fear being attacked.
It wasn't long before her brother appeared as well. He glided up along side her and climbed out of the water, but with some difficulty. He was missing half of a front leg and a third of his tail, and had various puncture wounds. He looked up expectantly at these canines, but was dissapointed to see that Flurry and Starlit weren't among them. Oblivious to his injuries, which weren't causing him any trouble at the moment, he listened to hear who these canines were.
Ebony Sky
She smiled. "Wow I guess there are freindly alligators." She said finnaly and walked a bit closer. "Im Ebony Sky from the alley pack." She said with pride. "But most just call me Ebony..." She said and looked tot he others. Shed let them introuduce themself.
Aminita
Aminita waved her tail from side to side faintly, "I'm Aminita! It's nice to meet you, Akili. Who's that?" she asks, looking at Dima. Then she turned to Ebony, "You mean there alligators who aren't friendly? They don't look very dangerous to me though; they aren't all that big." she pointed out, not relizing Akili and Dima were only juveniles.
Turret
Turret was surprised by the alligators' friendlyness. He had heard stories of dogs and wolves being killed and eatting by alligators. And while he didn't fear little gators like these, he wondered why they didn't fear him. Not wanting to look cowardly, the large hybrid stepped closer to introduce himself, "I'm Turret."
Fresca & Kasna
"I'm Fresca, the alpha of the Alley pack." the she-dog replied with a smile to the little reptiles. She padded nearer to them for a better look. "So, do you live in the water most of the time?"
Kasna looked to them, "I'm Kasna." he said simply. He dipped his head under the water a moment before brining it back up.
Akili, Dima, & Galar
Akili listned to them all and spoke to Fresca, "Most of the time we live in water. It's much easier to move around in and to ambush prey." she pointed out. "Do any of you, by chance, know of Flurry or Starlit?"
A much larger alligator began to swim closer to the shore then. He brushed right past Kasna and clambered half way up on the shore. This was Galar. He looked casually about at the new faces. He heard their names already because he had been hiding in nearby reeds, waiting to hunt prey. There was a rather large injury to his side, but like Dima, he didn't seem to be bothered by it. For alligators, large injuries usually weren't life-threatening unless they hindered their hunting.
Ebony Sky
She listened and spoke an answer to the question. "Yeh we do... well most of us." She says looking to Aminita for she doubted she knew them. "They are the pets at the woodland farm. We dont hang around with them though." She said. She then wondered about the injuries to Dima and Galar. "Whos that?" She asked Akili looking at Galar then she asked. "What happened? Did humans hurt you two?"
Aminita
She padded closer, very much intriuged by this larger alligator. Then she looked to Dima, "Gee, you're missing part of your leg!" the pup said, pointing out the obvious. She waited to hear the explanation of it.
Turret
Turret took a step back when he saw Galar. The alligator was big enough to kill Aminita in one bite! Yet no one seemed the least bit worried, so the hybrid saunted over and sat down near Aminita to listen to what the alligators had to say.
Fresca & Kasna
Kasna leapt up high when Galar brushed past him. Quite startled, he hurried out of the water as fast as he could will keeping his dignity about him. With a casual look around him, he sat down near Fresca and Ebony and watched the alligators.
Fresca was amazed to see how larger Galar was, "Do alligators get any larger than you?" she asks him.
Akili, Dima, & Galar
Galar glanced at the other, "No, there are alligators much larger than me." Then he turned his attention to Ebony, "Another alligator attacked Dima and came onto my territory. I fought him off though." the reptile explained, "But not soon enough to save Dima alot of injury."
Akili listened to her 'father' speak before piping up again, "His name's Galar. So you know Fluryy and Starlit, kinda? Well they're good friends of ours." Galar spoke up again suddenly, "I suppose you wouldn't know a wolf named Storm Alarm or Shadow, would you?"
Aminita
Aminita's eyes grew wider, "So you get alot bigger than this? What kind of food do ya eat? Oh, I should have asked the orcas what they ate!" Aminita shook her head, as if the physical process would clear her thoughts, "No, I haven't seen those two wolves. Want us to look for them? I bet we can find them!" she offered, again talking very rapidly.
Fresca & Kasna
Fresca shrugged a bit, "Well, I don't see why not. Once we've gotten a bit to eat, we can go search for those two, if no one objects to it." The alpha announced and looked around at her pack to see if they agreed. Again, what ever kept Aminita occupide was about worth doing.
Kasna stepped closer, "When we canines fight, we don't tear limbs off... you alligators must be pretty powerful." he pointed out with a bit of alarm. "So are all alligators friendly towards wolves and dogs?"
Ebony Sky
She listened very intrested. "Wow! Yeh we dont rip each others limbs off in fights but sometimes bones get broken though I know a few wolves and dogs whos limbs I wish I could break off..." She says thinking of the SLP but didnt say any names knowing Aminita might get upset. She then shruged from the next question. "Nope I havent seen them or met them ever but I dont mind helping to look either." Ebony said as she sat.
Turret
He was impressed with their apparent strength. He looked to Fresca as she looked to him and gave a slight nod. He didn't mind searching for Storm Alarm and Shadow. What else did they have to do, anyway?
Ebony Sky
She smiles. "Galar did either ever mention their terrain? Im sure that would be a good place to start if they reside in one."
Galar, Akili, & Dima
"They live in..." he trailed off, trying to recall what the name of it was, "Something about a creek... that's all I can remember." he replied and looked up at them, hopeing that was enough information to go off.
Dima looked to Kasna and Ebony, "My sister and I eat little fish, bugs, and frogs. But Galar and the bigger alligators eat what ever comes down to the water."
Akili nodded in agreement, "But fish are very tasty! And sometimes Starlit and Flurry bring us birds and rabbits."
Turret
"Creek, huh?" he spoke out, more in a statement than a question. "There is a place called the Sedge Creek territory. Does that sound familiar to anyone? Or does anyone know of another place with 'creek' for a name?" Turret inquired as he looked about at the pack.
Fresca & Kasna
Fresca shook her head, "I've never known any place called the Sedge Creek territory, or any other place with Creek in the name. But then, my pack hasn't lived out too far from the humans anyway. We could try the Sedge Creek territory, if you lead the way."
Kasna was glad to hear that the alligators liked fish; at least Akili did. He turned to his alpha then and shook his fur of water and bits of duckweed. He was ready to go search.
Aminita
The pup sprung up and dashed around, "Cool! We get to go track someone down!" she yipped. She had an awful lot of energy, even for a pup.
Ebony Sky
She smiled and nodded. Shed wait for someone to lead the way.
Turret
He looked back at the others before turning his head, "It's this way. I suppose we'll stop just outside their territory; they might attack if a whole pack just enters uninvited." he pointed out. The large hybrid made his way to the No Wolf Zone just above the Sedge Creek Territory.
Galar, Akili, & Dima
Galar would have smiled if he could, but having ridged jaws, that wasn't possible for him. Still, his slightly squinted eyes expressed his pleasure, "Thank you all! I should really like to see them again."
Akili suddenly lifted her head, "It's Flurry! She's calling for us!" she piped up, hearing the wolf's howl from not far off.
Galar nodded, hearing it as well. He spoke to the Alley pack as he slipped back into the water, "We've got to go now; I hope to see you all soon though!" Akili and Dima followed Galar as he cruised through the water and out of site of the pack.
Fresca & Kasna
Fresca and Kasna both said their quick good-byes, then followed after Turret. Kasna hung back a bit, making sure Aminita was safe. Since she had just come into the pack, he felt she was still vulnerable to be seized by the Shadow Lurkers.
Aminita
She yipped a good-bye and scampered off after the rest of her pack.
