Katani

Katani raced in with the pup in her mouth, it had just started to flood when she arrived. She looked around for somewhere to hide from anyone and the water. There was a tree with a hole in the truck around 8 feet in the air with a large rock that was about 4 feet high. This tree was a little ways down the flowing water, this is where she would cross so loose the others scents. There was water up to her shoulders surrounding it that wasnt fast moving. Slowly she wadded in holdig her head up high to keep the pup from drowning. Climbing onto the rock she raised up and put the pup in the hole, then suddenly slipped from her wet paws on the rock. It took a second to get her balance back, then hopped in with the pup. There was just enough room for her and the pup to lay down in. "Come close pup, stay warm. I wont hurt you." She said in her calm suttle tone. Then tried to lick the pups head. Her wounds stung a little so she began to clean herself. Outside she could hear the water starting to move a little faster and rising a bit more. THe fae was still confused about everything that had just happened...

Radiance

Radiance was so gentle and loving, the image of her mother, back before Bane had seen to it that Taipa's sweet nature was destroyed. And it was because of this that she, unlike either of her brothers, didn't even put up a fight or ugly words to her kidnapper, but sank down where the fae put her and dissolved into to little pup tears. "Ma- Mamaaaaa..." that was the first person she asked for, and then, "Zen? Meddy? Troty? Driv? Revie? Missy? Mute?" Her voice was so tiny and soft, and so distressed... one couldn't help but feel sorry for the tiny black female with the big gray eyes, which now were squinched tightly shut as tears ran down her white speckled cheeks. She didn't even try to draw near to Katani.

Katani

The fae had a terrible pain in her chest when the pup started to whimper. What have I done? Why do I let him push me... She thought to herself, but the answer was simple, he would possibly kill her if she said no to him. "I.. I'm sorry little one." Katani offered in a shakey voice. "I'll get you back to her, I promise." Her orbs looks around outside as the water rushed past them, no one had followed them yet.. would anyone come to look for either of them?

Radiance

Her whimpers seemed to go on and on, the tears washing down her cheeks as she called again and again for her family. But after several minutes she sought comfort from the warm body with the soft voice, her tiny legs carrying her forward to Katani and laying down in front of her, burying her little face in the fae's furry chest and letting her tears fall there.

Laquaine, Harlan and Dagon

The heavy rain hadn't deterred the trio of wolves that scouted Galar's Marsh, instead it had only made them press on with more urgency to find a new recruit before they returned to base. Abraxas had sent them on a mission, a mission to recruit at least one creature to join the ranks of the Legion before the day was out. So far, they had been unsuccessful, but maybe their luck was about to change?

Dagon and Harlan were fanned out behind the Beta of the Militia Legion, both grumbling about the weather. Leading them, Laquaine did little to deter their moaning while she tried to pick up scents in the wind. They paid little attention to the fact the water in the marsh seemed to be rising fast...

Laquaine, the sister of the Commander of the Legion, was the one who spotted Katani rush past, carrying something in her mouth. A quiet rumble from the Beta femme silenced both males and the three wolves watched as Katani continued to run, as if she was being chased. It was then the flood water began to spill over the land. While Abraxas would be angry that they hadn't completed their mission, he would rather they returned alive than floated home on the rising tide. Dagon was the first to voice his concerns about the water, "Come on, Laquaine, we've got to get out of here!" Laquaine however was still watching the place where the other wolf had disappeared into the tree trunk. "No, we've got to help her! She'll be trapped for days if she stays there. We should take her with us, because at this rate we'll be flooded from our land too!"

After sending Dagon back to warn Abraxas to evacuate, Laquaine and Harlan pushed on forward until they reached some high ground close to the tree. Laquaine had to shout to be heard over the rain, "Hey! Up there! You need to come down and come with us! You'll be trapped if you stay here much longer! Come with us, we'll take care of you until the waters die down!"

The pair of wolves were desperate. If Katani didn't respond, they would have to leave her trapped in order to save themselves.

Katani

She let out a comforting whine to the pup and rested her head down on her paws looking out and began to worry as the water rushed by. Her orbs spotted the trio as they called to her, she looked down at the pup then back to them before she answered. "How do I know if I can trust you?!" She called out, an obvious shake in her voice.

Laquaine

Laquaine, growing ever more nervous as water began to trickle by her feet, tried to sound as calm as possible, "We hold no alliances and no enemies. We do what we see is right, regardless of what anyone else believes. My name is Laquaine, I'm the Beta of the Militia Legion. We're new round here, there's no need to fear us! Please, quickly, the water's are rising fast!"

As if to emphasise this point, Harlan began to back away from Laquaine, and his words could clearly be heard by Katani, "Come on, Laquaine, we've got to go or we'll never make it to the higher ground!"

Radiance

Sweet, timid little Radiance was curled into Katani, taking comfort from a stranger because none other was available, when the strange voice outside made her freeze, her whines falling silent as all well-trained pups will do. If the predator hadn't yet heard the pups by the time they were close enough to smell, they wouldn't, because an instinctive thing cut off any vocalizations, keeping them quiet. It was this response that Radiance gave, growing so still against Katani, tears still crawling down her face but not whimpering anymore as she waiting for the female to answer Laquaine.
