Battlecry
The scent of pine reached Battlecry's nostrils, a odd smell for being so close to water. The deciduous vegatation prefferred the wetlands. Battlecry had come from a far land to this place, and it was already full of surprises. The brute stood in the murky waters, the ice that had once been under his paws had shattered, the fur up to his hocks now soaked. Battlecry did not mind water, but it was so frigid, it made him sick just touching it. The brute hopped out of the water, shivering. Compaired to the rocky Alaska lands, this valley was nothing compaired to the negative fifty degree weather...but Battlecry had recently been to a much warmer place.
A bit cold are we? The unconcious twin teased, his voice snarly and unwelcoming. Battlecry laughed out loud. "Simply spoiled by warm weather." He replied to his mental brother, rolling his one-blue-and-one-golden eyes. Battlecry trotted to underneath a leafless tree, trying to unfreeze his blood. Battlecry didn't feel like talking to his 'brother', but it was impossible to run away from him. Besides, he live inside of his mind. He controlled half of him, and sometimes he was the unconcious one. Confusing? It was just as confusing to Battlecry. Technically, he was one wolf with a mind shared by two. They'd fight over who controlled the body, and the unconcious one would just talk to him, laugh at him, yell at him, tease him. They usually swapped each day, but some days they'd fight over who controlled the body. It was like spirits fighting over a zombie. Battlecry was basically the name of the body.
Battlecry sat down, his tail touching the mud. Worthless piece of crap. Why do you have to stop at a marsh? Battlecry snorted, "Water, we're thirsty." Battlecry went back to the water, lapping it up. The frigid water seemed to freeze in his throat, and Battlecry sputtered, wheezing violently. Smooth move. "Aw, shuttup!" Battlecry snapped back. Battlecry wheeled around and went back to the tree. Nothing could go wrong when sitting under a tree. Right? Battlecry laid down, resting his head on his paws. I get control over the body after the nap. "Yeah, whattever. I'm sure you can control it better." Battlecry growled. I can.
RAVIN
the hybrid prowled through the forest, her fangs bared viciously. She was mostly albino, besides the left half of her face, which was black. She stopped when she scented another canine. A wolf, to be exact. It wasn't long before she was tracking Battlecry.
Hunt him. Said her 'friend.' She was surprised that nobody else could hear the voice. "That's what I'm doing." Ravin replied aloud.
Soon, the bulky hybrid came upon the wolf. A deadly grin spread across her face. She offered no hint for what she was about to do. She sprang into the air, aiming to land on Battlecry and pin him down.
Battlecry
Battlecry heard Ravin talk to herself, and he turned around, her spring offered no surprise. Roll, fool! Battlecry pushed off the ground and fell into the mud, springing to his paws with his teeth bared. Lips curled, his white fangs reflected the thin rays from the sun that slipped threw the clouds. "What the hell...?" Battlecry stared into Ravin's eyes, his body in a defensive pose.
Strike back. "No dip." Battlecry lunged at Ravin, teeth hoping to go for her neck, if not her shoulder. No one struck Battlecry without warning and got away with it. No one.
RAVIN
Ravin was taken by Battlecry. She felt his fangs in her flesh. Snarling, she tried to push his head away with her paws.
After a moment or two, the aggression subsided and Ravin completely calmed down. She was like a different creature altogether. She whined slightly when she felt the pain of Battlecry's teeth. "What are you doing?" She asked, trying to keep her cool.
Battlecry
Battlecry snarled, letting go of Ravin. His anger, too, had bubbled away slightly. Breathing he backed away, still snarling. Battlecry stopped, narrowing his eyes. Fool, attack her! "No." Battlecry hissed. He looked at Ravin, into her eyes.
"Simply striking back at my attacker." Battlecry replied coolly, his voice sharp as glass. Wow, she must be a stupid one. "Shut up." Battlecry murmured to himself, trying to keep his twin quiet so he could talk to Ravin. "Why did you attack me?" Battlecry demanded from Ravin, hackles raised.
RAVIN
Ravin stepped back, shivering a bit. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to attack you." She replied sincerely. "It's just that...Molly makes me do bad things..." She didn't clearly remember attacking Battlecry, as if she was somebody else when it happened.
Battlecry
"Who?" Battlecry asked, interested in what she was saying. Hey! Maybe some just like us. Battlecry snarled, wishing he could nip at his brother angrily. Battlecry had lived with his inner brother. Battlecry was the name of the body, and what they called themselves in public. Darkness with the eviller, darker brother. He was the brother that had ebony fur. Light was the nicer, more wise brother. The white side of him. Battlecry smirked, looking at Ravin. "I'm Battlecry." He quickly stated wistfully.
RAVIN
Ravin took a deep breath, holding it in her lungs for a moment before letting it go. "My sister, of course! See?" She pointed to the empty space beside her. Hello. Said the voice, though of course only Ravin could hear it. "I'm Ravin." She smiled sweetly, wagging her tail.
Battlecry
Battlecry laughed. "I see no one. I believe only you can see and hear your sister, as I can only hear my brother, Darkness." Battlecry replied. The chimera's tail wagged lightly on his hocks, his eyes sparkling. "Its a bit weird, but you'll learn it..."
RAVIN
Ravin tilted her head, a bit confused. "That's odd. Everybody I have met says that she's not real. You are the only one I met who acknowledges she is real but only visible to me." The hybrid mused. "You do know she is real, right? Just as I know that your brother is real?"
Battlecry
Battlecry smiled faintly. "They are only fools." Battlecry replied kindly. He next question tested his truth, "Yes, I know Molly is real as you know my brother is real. We are special in a good way. We have two minds, which means we are twice as smart." Battlecry's eyes sparkled, he loved the idea of being twice as smart as any wolf. Right, right. We are so smart! I'm the smart one, Light. Battlecry chuckled. "You can believe that, Darkness." Battlecry murmured lowly. Battlecry smiled at Ravin, enjoying the prescence of another wolf with the same...ability, in simple terms.
RAVIN
Ravin smiled back, finally feeling more comfortable. "For years I have had to keep this secret or I would be chased away. Now I don't have to." She said joyfully. The albino wolfess was relieved. Thinking back, she lowered her head. "If I attack you, I don't mean it. Molly makes me do bad things." She mumbled shamefully.
Oh, yeah. Tell him how horrible I am. Molly snorted. One day, you'll wake up and find that you killed the poor brute.
"Stop it!" Ravin shouted, quickly stepping back and hunching down. "Sorry...Molly was trying to scare me..." She apologized to Battlecry.
Battlecry
Sounds like Molly is a bitch-type. Don't trust Ravin, dumbo.
"Shuttup, Darkness." Battlecry murmured, lips drawn. "Darkness does a lot of rude things when he's in control. Killed some lynx kits for fun once." Battlecry narrowed his eyes, as if he was glaring at his brother in the back of his mind. Battlecry could hear Darkness laughing, and Battlecry shook his head. "Sometimes it gets annoying to have someone sharing your body..."
Ha! Looks who's talking, I'm just as annoyed, bro. Darkness jeered.
RAVIN
Ravin ducked her head down. "Our siblings do mean things, but I know I'd probably be dead without Molly." She said quietly, lifting her eyes to meet Battlecry's. "So, uh, how long have you been here?"
Battlecry
"Ditto." Battlecry replied quietly, smiling softly. "Only a few days, and you?" Battlecry was being rather kind, luckily Darkness wasn't in control. Darkness would've killed Ravin and her sister Molly by now.
Why don't you just kill her? She's too friendly. Darkness snarled.
RAVIN
Ravin grinned. "Most of the time, I don't even remember how long I've been here. I think it was six months ago that I arrived." She said, blushing.
Battlecry
Battlecry smiled, looking at Ravin. "Not completely in control, then?" Battlecry asked, thinking about Darkness.
You weren't either, fool. Darkness sneered.
Ravin
Ravin nodded, smiling innocently. "I guess not." She replied.
You bet you're not. Molly snapped.
