CAMEO

The Japanese Crane, flapping his wings calmly in the air, stepped through some patches of tall grass and weeds, soon finding his way to the waters. He examined the murky depths as he slowly but steadily worked his way into the liquid, which felt cool on his featherless legs. Lowering his head, he began to dig through the mud below the surface of the water, and it being only a few inches deep, easily brought up some wet roots dripping with the muddy water. There he ate, silent and peaceful, not a care in the world.

Allie

Allie an Albatross which is usually seen over seas for the whole year exept nesting season flew over the marsh and soon landed not far from the crane. She moved into the marshy water and skimmed it with her beak.

CAMEO

The Crane simply continued to dig through the muddy banks with his long beak, tearing away at roots and other little treats he could find. It wasn't until he looked up that he noticed this wasn't your everyday bird. Then again, nothing was an everyday for him anymore. Looking up finally from his feast, he decided he would try his luck at striking up a conversation. He didn't know many others around here, and he especially was on the lookout for any potentials.
"Hello?" he suddenly called, his voice quite cheery despite the silent and easy-going manner he had displayed before. Easily picking his way through the waters, he neared the unusual bird, stopping a few yards away. Then he waited for a reply, and hopefully a good one.

Allie

Allie looked to the crane. She had seen them in her travels so he wasn't strange to her.She bobbed her dial and clikced her beak.Hello im allie

CAMEO

Cameo stood there quietly, a bit startled somehow by the bird's voice against the silence of the marsh. He ruffled his feathers a bit to avoid any unwanted kind of attention to his shake, and then offered a little smile, the best any avian creature could with such a beak. "I'm Cameo. Are you new around here?" he then proceeded with asking, curious. He himself wasn't such a stranger anymore, though sometimes he felt as such.

Allie

She dipped her dial.yes I usually am over seas for most of the timeShe said quietly

CAMEO

The white crane shifted easily as he stood there, one leg tensing as he applied most weight to that one. Not like he had all that much to begin with. Then he perked up at the words 'over seas' and looked inquizzitively at her. "Oh? I came from over seas, only I don't know how to get back." he stated, and then tilted his head a bit, "But this land is fine for me," he added quickly, though he dearly missed friends and family.
