While the hunting party searched for snakes, Penny wandered to the Marsh. She built a large nest about 18 feet above the ground, then laid four eggs. She sat on the eggs, protecting them from chill and any potential predators.

The chicks began to hatch while Penny kept a close eye out for danger. Samuel soon came back with food for his daughters. He gave then their meal, then flew back down to the ground. "Be careful for the gators." Penny warned nervously. Samuel smiled. "As always." He replied.
