Summer Sunrise
--The unusually large femme enters Galars Marsh and investigates the dead deer. Most were infested with maggots by now, save a few large and healthy ones. Strong jaws clasp around the neck of the smallest buck and throws it across her back. She braces herself against the first shock of weight then returns to her pack's lands.—
Galar
The alligator had watched the wolfess from a patch of thick water plants. He was nearly invisible to everyone, with only his golden eyes and snout glistening about the water and uncovered by plants. Galar watches Summer Sunrise, but doesn't go to greet her. When she left, the alligator glided to shore and climbed sluggishly onto the land. Cold weather and water made his body slow.
Galar clambered towards the closest deer, which had been dead for quite some time, as stench and the festering flesh told. Satisfied with this gruesome meat, the alligator began to eat until his sides bulged. Even then, he dragged the wasted carcass into the water and stuffed it under a log submerged in the water. Food for later. Then Galar returned to the shore to bathe in what warmth his chilled body could get from the sun. This would be his last meal for a long time.
Flurry
She sprints in carrying in the rabbit. She drops it close to the water. "Hi Galar!" She yips excitedly. "Starlit, Spark, and I went hunting and brought some food for you, Dima, and Akili." She beamed happily.
Starlit Eyes & Spark
Starlit pads in with the rabbit swinging lightly from her jaws. She too sets it down by the water. Spark gripped his squirrel tightly in her blunt jaws, but, reluctantly, set it down by the two rabbits. Then he backed up behind Flurry and Starlit.
"It seems you have been eating well, Galar! How about Dima and Akili?" Starlit Eyes questions.
Flurry
She smiles and wags her tail waiting for an answer.
Galar, Dima, & Akili
Galar looked up at his friends happily, "I'm glad to see you all again!" The alligator looked down at the rabbits and squirrel. His stomach was filled full of deer already, and could hold no more. Still, the food looked very appealing.
Dima and a slightly smaller Akili came to the shore not to long after the three canines appeared. Dima crawled over to the three food items, then looked up to his friends, "Thanks for the food! There has been less to eat for a while now." The young but growing alligator choose one of the rabbits and held it firmly in his jaws. Akili took part of the rabbit in her jaws as well. The two reptiles then thrashed their powerful jaws from side to side in such a way that they finally tore the rabbit into to smaller pieces that each could swallow whole. They did the same with the squirrel, but were too full to eat the last rabbit.
Akili looks up adoringly at the three canines, but a question haunts her, "Have the humans bothered you lately?"
Starlit & Spark
Starlit shook her head, "No, they haven't bothered us; what about you?" The hybrid asked as she noted the size difference between the two young alligators, "You two are getting bigger I see. But you still have a ways to go until you are as big as Galar."
Flurry
She nodded happily. She then looked to Galar Dima and Akili. "Hey maybe Galar will get really big by the time Dima and Akili reach his size." She said as her tail wagged happily.
Galar, Dima, Akili
Galar grins in his usual way by parting his jaws. "Once I get big enough, I will be able to go where ever I want to in this marsh! And then I will be free from you two." Galar glanced down at Akili and Dima, still wearing his grin, "You two will be stuck in a little territory, while I go where I please." Dima snorted, "You wouldn't just leave us!" Then Akili piped up, "Yeah, cause we'd follow you around and you'll have to protect us from the gators that are bigger than that."
Galar just grunted in response to the little alligators and looked back to his canine friends, "The humans haven't been any trouble. I did see this huge bird fly by, that roared like the boats do. It flew very low over the marsh." Galar didn't know that he had seen a plane, and not a bird.
Flurry
She wagged her tail and listened then laughed. She looked to Galar. "That’s good. Hmm I thought birds were small. What did it look like?" She asked excitedly.
Starlit Eyes & Spark
Starlit suddenly lifts her head, catching a sound. There were wolves at the farm... "I will be back shortly!" she barked to her friends as she sprinted swiftly for the Woodland Farm.
Spark looked after her curiously. He hadn't heard the howl.
Flurry
She looks to Spark. "Come on lets follow!" She says and sprints after Starlight.
