Jais

The snow-washed wolf was still without a pack, and still not in search for one either. This was the sort of predicament that had drove his brother to violent actions. But Jais had a much more just and fair spirit, and wouldn't let himself be broken down to the point of aggression taking control. With a quick glance, he may even seem like a confident wolf, with his head held out and his tail billowing lightly behind him. But with a closer look, there was a painful glint to his bright yellow eyes.

Jais took his time, for he had a lot of it to kill. His paws carried him over the ridges of eskers and down into their mini valleys. His nose scented the air as his eyes took advantage of the ridge tops and open space, looking for prey.

Sona, Sona Spirited

Sona dashed far from the pack lands. She couldn't handle it any longer. She was sad to leave Karai, but had no choise. The first pack had left her with scars and forever would she dread it. Ambrose was in good hands. So there was no need to worry anymore. She stood out in the open her orbs came to a white brute. Her blue orbs glared at him. Her deaf audit perked and her only good one twitched to the side. Jer silky white pelt tips danced in the slight breath of wind. Her paws gentay touched the ground and carried her quickly, so swiftly to a gluide. She was now clear in view of the other wolf. But unsure of if she even wanted to go over. Maybe she would need time to herself to re-aline. Maybe... Maybe, she needed to quite acting stupid and do something for herself for once. She had at last did something to save them, her work was done, now it was just time to enjoy herself, and her orbs wandered away to the herizon.

Jais

Jais stopped himself after catching sight of a light-pelted femme. His nose was instantly decyphering the scents the wind brought to it, but the air was not blowing in his favor today. His sharp eyes strove to identify this figure, but he was too far to see her features clearly. All he knew was, this was a whitish colored wolf. His heart quickened as the thought of Tri-Tundra, and at once his paws began to carry him swiftly towards the other.

But all at once, his high hopes were dashed away as he realized this was not Tri-Tundra after all. Feeling a bit embarrassed for having rushed towards her so, Jais dipped his head down in an appologetic sort of way, "I'm sorry, please excuse me. I... thought you were someone else." It had been far too many moons for him to recall when he last laid his sights on his beloved Tri-Tundra, but no matter how long it had been, she was always in his mind and heart.

Tri-Tundra

Sparkling green optics stared forth as the fae approached a high cliff ledge, auds turned in strange positions. She stood prominently up on the patch of rocks, her severly curved figure appearing minscule in comparison to the boulders. She stood in silence, her creamy pelt lashed back and forth by the strong winds that encircled her. Her crania tilted to look behind.

There, was the north; the place she had just came from. Now, literally behind her, was all of her anguish and despair.

Her forest-hued optics sparkled with a bright, intellectual gleam, yet something about them was wrong...for every now and then, when the wind blew strong enough to sway her to blink, a flicker of pain fled into her eyes.

Her crania now turned to gaze upon the Eskers she stood on, alone on the vast plain of rocks and rivers. A soft breath escaped her lithe figure, her pelt shining healthly in the sun. She was in good shape, despite how frail and thin she was.

A few odd scents reached her nose as the wind changed direction. It seemed that they were not recognizable, but-one scent arose imparticular. A scent more longed for than almost anything else-for a very long time.

From deep within her chasms, a high-pitched, graceful note was sent forth. It was not long, but abruptly short, as if she was unsure if she truly wanted to call this wolf to her. Though her own heart pained for him so, her mind was fearful. Her heart had been torn apart so many times that it made life seem so unnreal, more like a labyrinth than a path. Nonetheless, she leapt down from her perch, awaiting on a flat patch of land to see if any other wolves would come.

Jais

As Jais waited for the other's response, another call turned his ear to the side in a casual gesture but didn't divert his eyes from Sona. But then, a faintly recognizable note sparked a memory in his subconscious. Hardly thinking, Jais glanced in Tri-Tundra's direction before turning away. Then he did a double-take, his startled mind hitting upon recognition of the wolfess's form.

Jais head was turned fully towards her now, momentarily forgetting that Sona was even there. His bright eyes strained to see across the distance as his ears perked towards her to catch any other sounds she might utter. His heart was racing much quicker now, but he didn't want to lead himself into false hope like he had done countless times before. Could this.... could this really be her...?

Slowly at first, then picking up speed, the white wolf began moving towards Tri-Tundra. He nearly stumbled and tripped many times, for his eyes never left Tri-Tundra to glance at the rolling land below him. A few good yards away, Jais stopped and stood stock-still, gazing in bewilderment at the wolf. Then, all of a sudden, he came into great motion. "Tri, Tri-Tundra! It is you!" HIs voice rung with awe and unimaginable happiness. His feet were a blurr as they carried him over the ground towards Tri-Tundra.

Kicking up sand in his attempt to slow down, he reached her and nuzzled her neck, then pulled back swiftly. His tail was going so fast that his back end was almost shaking along with it. "I'm sorry.." Jais began suddenly, realizing he might be a bit overwhelming, "It's just... I never dreamed that..." He blinked back at Tri-Tundra, feeling his heart would burst with joy. He still could hardly believe it was really her, and he was just dying to hear her say something to confirm this wild dream was reality.

Tri-Tundra

The huntress did not notice the brujo approaching until she heard her name. A bright, unbelieving excitement was alight in her sparkling optics, and she nearly jumped off the ground as she saw Jais hurtling towards her.

"Jais!" She cried out, at first nuzzling him back. When he pulled away, however, so did she. Looking to the ground slightly embarassed, her own heart beat began to race. She hadn't noticed that her own tail had also been wagging rapidly. However, the swish of her tassle soon faltered.

She looked up to him, her eyes still filled with joy, but a strange twang of guilt was witheld in her expression. "I am-sorry...for being gone so long..." She started, trailing off. She didn't know how to explain herself. It was hard to believe she had been gone for such a time, but she had a just reason...but she didn't know how to say it.

Jais

Jais shook his head at her words, "Don't be sorry, Tri-Tundra." His eyes looked into hers and there was a quality of trusting devotion in them. "It does not matter to me why you were gone, it only matters that you are here now." The white wolf spoke sincerely, unable to bring his eyes away. He was half-fearful to blink, thinking she might vanish before his eyes.

Tri-Tundra

Tri-Tundra returned his meaningful stare, but managed to pull her eyes away to look to the rocky ground below them for a moment. Bowing her head in silence, she responded, looking back up with a more cheerful expression.

"I am indeed here now. I have come back for you!" She said in a breathlessly excited tone, her tassle swaying happily. Another harsh breeze caused her pelt to whip about, the sun falling onto the two.

She looked to him with a soft, wolfish smile, her sparkling emerald eyes gleaming with joy. She seemed to melt away into the moment for a while, before she realized something. Her expression suddenly changed.

"What has become of the rest-Peregrine, Snowden, the other cubs-" She halted, figuring they wouldn't be cubs any longer. She continued with a more wavery voice. "And-what of-Dark Star's cubs? And, Kana?" She asked slowly, her claws flexing slightly as she shifted unneasily on her feet.

Shaba

A large brute apeared. His black and tan pelt was thick and brisk as always, His large paws pressing into the terra as he walked, his paws stepping right infront of the other in a perfect formation, and his short rounded audits perked forth. His dark orbs were at Tri-Tundra, and turned to the wolf Nightcrawler had spoken of. His orbs laid on him for molments at a time. His maw at last opened to speak, "Allo Jais. I see you have met Sona eailer. Your friend Nightcrawler waits for you at my pack." He said in a strong thundering tone.

Tri-tundra

Tri-Tundra had been awaiting any sort of reply, when the reunion cut short. Her severly thin, yet muscular figure tensed slightly as the other brute approached. Her sparkling orbs glanced from Jais to the other wolf, and back again. It appeared that Jais knew him, therefore, Tri-Tundra hesitated, not sure what now to say. Perhaps Jais had some business of his own to tend to...whatever the case, Tri-Tundra did not want to intrude. She dipped her crania with a faint expression of understanding upon her face, and then turned to leave. She was sure that she would hear from him yet again-sooner or later.
