Cortinarri

Apart from several dull scars, a crippled hind limb was the only reminder to the wolfess of a battle fought a while ago. Being teamed up against multiple foes left little room for escape, much less winning. But she would take a crippled leg any day, over death. Now the fae waited, basking in the sun and cleaning her pelt. Cortinarri waited on her friend, Namir, to show again.

Namir

The cougar traveled easily over the loamy soil of the land, sniffing constantly at the wind and changing his course a bit here and there as he followed his 'mothers' trail. Finally he found her, nested on the shallow face of a low esker, fully in the sun. "Cort!" he called out in a chuff, a feline greeting. "I've brought you something better than some rangy old pup!" The cougar slid to a stop, nearly running the wolfess over. He nuzzled her head, then looked back to see if Manov was close at hand.

Manov

Brute folloed Nimar to the eskers, he stayed a bit behind him though, not wanting to rush up to her. Slowly he walked around the side of a higher esker and looked at the pair. Peds moved his bulk forward to them, watching Cortinarri as she was being nuzzled. He sat down only a couple feet behind Nimar.

Cortinarri

She stood quickly, tolerating the friendly embrace and flashing her eyes towards Manov. The vix could not help to contain the smile that flooded over her sleek muzzle. Standing quickly, she moved over to him, dipping her head just slightly, "Manov, it's been too long." She stated, her gaze sweeping over him, searching for any injuries; hoping to find none. Cortinarri lent her head forward to lick his muzzle; a sign of her love for him was still strong even though they had been separated for quite some time.

Manov

Brute stood and walked towards her as she came to him, bowing his head to her as she had done to him. "It has.." Replying to her. Words were not needed for this moment, only a look and actions were needed. Auds looked at her tainted leg, then to her eyes. His muzzle was moved forwards to lick her back then to nuzzle her warm soft coat. Looking to Nimar he had him a slight nod in thanks.

Cortinarri

She gave a faint sigh, simply relishing in the moment of the reunion. "Manov... how is the pack?" The wolfess hadn't been to the Opake Mountains in a while, so she didn't know the status of the pack. And it was high time, she felt, to get back into a pack.

Manov

Brute sat back on his haunches and shook his head at her quesion. "It is small, a few are missing... It's not really together anymore, not since we left for a little bit." Nightcrawler, Cavan and Tupit had gone missing, Lilliana had left but she said she would return. It was only Manov's small "family" that still lived there. Manov looked back from where they had come from, right now he knew Mitya, Dakota and Ice were in trouble, but he couldnt leave Cartinarri, hopefully they would get help soon.

Cortinarri

A light frown accomponied her as she listened to the report, "We'll have to find more members." The wolfess turned to her cougar friend, "Why don't you go see if you can find any? But... try not to scare them." She grinned a bit and returned her gaze to Manov, "Shall we head for home now?"

Manov

Manov nodded to Nimar as Cortinarri sugjested he go find more to join the pack. "We shall.." As he walked past Nimar he whispered in his ear to go to the ruins and help out Mitya, Dakota, and Ice.

Namir

Namir nodded, a grin exposing his long fangs. Nodding a goodbye to Cortinarri and Manov, the cougar sprung away, dashing across the ground towards the Ruins.

Cortinarri

She watched the cougar go and turned a questioning look to her mate. But she'd wait till they were back at their pack lands. Just happy to be going home, Cortinarri headed for the Opake Mountains. A slight limp accompanied her, where Bullet's jaws had crushed and crippled the many bones of her ankle.
