Aquila

The old, dark-hued wolf limps out across a shallow ravine. He didn't have the strength to climb up the steep esker bordering one side of the ravine, so he climbed up the shorter one on the other side. He didn't know why he had come out this far, it would be hard to get back. But Aquila didn't turn back yet. He reached the top of the short esker, and sat back on his haunches. His eyes couldn't see much, but his scent and hearing were still all right. The male sat still until the wind cut through his pelt and made him shiver, yet he still sat there and waited.

Aquila

The strong winds hit him hard, and sliced through his ragged pelt to chill his weary body. Aquila pulled himself stiffly up to stand, and cast his gaze toward the thickening clouds that would surely bring snow. Sure enough, it began snowing, but this seemed only the beginning of the storm. The old wolf howls deeply, yet wavering, then lies down, curling in a tight ball with his back towards the wind. His graying muzzle was buried deep into his tail to keep as much warmth as he could. It didn't seem likely that he'd survive this blizzard.

Firewalker

Firewalker guides Aquila back to the terra, keeping close to him.

Dare To Dream

the young vix spots the 2 and trots to them not even noticing the snow.

Aquila

Aquila eventually stirs from his sleep, and shakes the snow from his maw. The old wolf whimpered a greeting to Firewalker, but he was tired. Yet he didn't want to disappoint his alpha, so he struggled to stand.

Aquila turns his ember eyes to the she wolf he didn't recognize, then towards his alpha. His legs hurt more from the cold now, but he was ready to walk back to their terra.
