Peregrine

The large beta male of the Avalanch Grove enter the Eskers with no real objective. He was lonely and wished to find someone... maybe a friend, maybe more...

As long as he was out, he kept his senses open to the prospect of food.

The Hunter

She smiled as she saw Peregrine. Silently she made her way to him. "Hey. I thought you had disappeared for awhile" she said softly. She to felt like the need to play. Or do something. She laughed as she flew past him and turned around and raced back. She nipped him slightly and said "Come on Peregrine. Or do you not remember me?"

Peregrine

He stood just a slight bit tense at first. He hadn't played in years... not since he had been captured and separated from his mate and family and stuck in that alwful trap of a place; the Wolf Center. But a smiling grin tugged at his face as Hunter appeared and old memories and feelings flooded back to him. He was free! Truely free now!

"Ah, I believe I remember you." he grinned broader as she nipped him. In an instant the tension in his body left and his face took on the features of a mischievious pup. He pounced towards her, returning a playful nip and bumping into her.

The Hunter

She giggled a bit and recieved the nip happily. She had never known feelings like these but for now she would keep them to herself. She reached behind her to nip him once more and took off at a sprint. She laughed truly feeling happy again. She felt like she could continue this all day.

Peregrine

Peregrine sprinted after her feeling the weight of loneliness lift away. Ruby and Kira would always be in his memories and dreams, but he had to move on. And what better way than to play? Peregrine picked up speed to catch up to The Hunter. When he was close, he dodged towards her, trying to tackle her into the snow and sand. He growled fierce but playfully.

The Hunter

She smiled and raced quickly but felt him run into her. She hit the ground with an oof and laughed her head off. She growled back just as feircly and tried to squirm out from beneathe him. She laughed some more and tried to nip at him but in the position she was in she couldnt reach him.

Peregrine

Peregrine's eyes glinted with fond joy, remembering past years and the not so old ones where there had been no play. He batted lightly at her head with his large paws, then sprang back with his hindquarters in the air and his front end dropped to the ground in a play bow. His great bushy tail was swaying side to side.

With a grin, he yipped, "Catch me if you can!" he turned and like a bullet was speeding across a high, sandy ridge as fast as he could. But he looked back often, seeing if The Hunter would catch up to him.

The Hunter

She sprang up and flew after him up the sandy hill and along the ridge laughing the whole way. She remembered back when Aaka used to be nice. She had always played. Had always wanted to have fun. And then she killed someone. And everything changed. Wrapped up in the past she slowed only to be shaken out by thoughts of the present. Smiling she leaped forward full speed once more for once happy for the speed and muscle training she had gotten from Aaka.

Peregrine

Peregrine craned his head back, beaming at The Hunter and not noticing the uneven terrain ahead. Just before he was to turn his head forward again, his rapidly moving paws caught on an elevated pile of hard snow. He did nearly a complete flip, but twisted and landed on his side. Unharmed saved for his dignity, the beta scrambled to get up, but he had fallen on the steep end of the esker ridge and was now skittering down it.

It was an amusing site to see; such a large, strong wolf tumbling with sand and snow flying everwhere after him while his legs pawed frantically for footing they could not get.

Hunter

She laughed at the sight and flew down the hill after him all grace and beauty until she hit a rut and yelped before she began to roll down. She let out a snarl and tried to stop herself now seeing the prdicament Peregrine was in. When she reached the bottom she stood up and said "Whoa...." Everything around her was spinning. She smiled over at Peregrine and said "That was fun wanna do it again?"

Peregrine

He stood up, staggering this way and that at first as the world around him seemed to lurch about in dizzy circles. "Hope no one else saw that..." he laughed, "...lets try again!" Peregrine shook his head, an act which nearly threw him off balance. Grinning from ear to ear, he ran past Hunter and gave her a friendly bump again before tearing up the side of the esker. Sand and snow flew about again as he tried to climb the steep embankment.

Hunter

She flew up the hill also struggling. When she reached the top was about to go down down when a howl came across the land. Thinking this was the end of the play date she listened. It was the sound of anothe female. Hunter had met her once. Her name was Glass Rose. She sat a moment and thought. Glass seemed to be calling for someone....but no one in particular. Than she heard Fallen Angel, her sister. Turning back unconcerned she said "What do you want to do now?" thats when Fallen Angel howled again. More urgent and from the pit. She sighed. Shaking her head she said "Dont mind them. Fallen thinks she can get Storms pups out of the pit. I wish her good luck." she had bitter memories of a pit. It was not the place for a pup

Peregrine

He tilted his head slightly, "Who's fallen? And the pit... I've heard rumors about that place." Peregrine stated, slow and grim as he turned more to face Hunter, "That is a human's place, right?" he had never been there, but bits of talk had reached him about it. Peregrine shook his coat, sending sand and debris flying as he mulled over what Hunter had said, "Should we help them, those who were calling?"

Hunter

She listened again but all was quiet. "No...I think they sorted it out. Although...." she listened again. She swore under her breath. "Sorry Peregrine. I have to go....Aakas in a fight at her packlands....by the sounds of it a female is there causing an up roar." she turned to him an apologetic look in her eyes "Im really sorry....if you want to come you can. Its at the Silver Glades territory."
