Nightcrawler
The ebony-tinted wolf headed in a loping gate across the area. He stuck to the bottom of the eskers rather than the tops, for he felt strangely vulnerable on the ridges. Alder Whisper was on his mind a considerable deal now, although he still wondered where Winters Night had gone too.
Silver Skye
The fawn-colored dog sauntered over the top of a ridge, wondering desperately where her brother and adoptive mother were. She didn't know that Black Fyre was dead. She also didn't know she was carrying a powerful new strain of mange, although she clearly felt its affects. A third of her body was hairless and covered in scabs. What was left of the rest of her coat was sparse tufts that fell out with the littlest bit of help.
Yearning for some friend or companion, she eagerly picked up on Nightcrawler's trail and bounded after it. It didn't take long for the balding dog to sight the black wolf. Giving a friendly yip, she sprinted towards him, tail waving.
Nightcrawler
Nightcrawler turned quickly, just as eager to make new friends. It was his shy nature though that at first held him back and always made him timid of others at first. But her fur! The sight of her scabbed flesh and shedding fur sent a chil of fear run down him as his instincts screamed of illness and death.
"You... ah..." he hesitated, not wanting to offend her, but at the same time not wanting her to come near him, "You're uh, missing some... fur." Nightcrawler took a hesitant step back, lowering his head and cricking his tail. His stance spoke of uncertaintly and wasn't all too welcoming.
Silver Skye
She sat back on her haunches a moment, scratching at her side. Bits of fur floated into the air from the vigorous scratching. "Oh, it's nothing." Silver Skye replied simply, looking right past his body langue and moving closer to him, "I'm Silver Skye. And you? It's been so long since I've been free again! Too long, you know what I mean?" She stepped still closer.
Nightcrawler
Nightcrawler pulled his back, retreating a few more steps while his posture grew more ridged. "...Nightcrawler..." he said quickly, watching with a shudder as she scratched out more fur than would be normal. "I don't mean to be rude... " Nightcrawler started, feeling his lips pull back in a partial display of his fangs, "..but I must go now." he was afraid to turn and run in fear she would follow him.
Silver Sky
Silver Sky frowned a bit, catching the male's hint that she wasn't welcome. "I'll see you later then? Oh, I'd better go see if I can find my brother now anyway." Silever Skye sighed and headed away in search of Emerald Rain.
