Hestia
The young she wolf had watched her home land burn and had gotten separated from her birth pack. The silverish grey wolf now found herself alone and put in the open. She was gnawing on the bones of a dead deer she had found the corpse not far off

Paws beat against sprouts of grass and mounds of dirt as they carry the ochre body across the landscape at a leisurely pace. Strips of clouds floated along the blue sky, a light wind carrying the scent of pollen and dew along it's breeze. It was truly the beginning of spring. Although there was still patches of snow accumulated higher on the mountain paths, most of the chilled whiteness had melted away to feed the seeds underneath. A beautiful sight that any animal would take in.
A black paw crushed a sprout breaking free of the frozen eater, a malicious chuckle coming into the air before it was lifted to continue it's path. No, this was not a wolf that paused to linger on the beauties of life. With life brought death to the ones not strong enough to survive and he could feel his muscles betraying him. Weakening him. He hated to admit it but he didn't have many years left in his veins. The realization came an instinctual drive.
A drive that was only amplified by the scent of spring time. Catching the smell of another wolf on the air, the old wolf paused before that sly smirk grew into a manic smile. A female. He could tell before even getting close. Changing his path to stay down wind, the male slowly made his way towards the scent before he peeked over a ridge, catching sight of the female knawing on a bone.
Delom licked his lips, saliva dripping from his maw as his brain brought forth the thought of tasting the female's blood. He hadn't had wolf in so long... but no... He had a different intent and killing her would completely push his quest back to nearly impossible. Jittery paws stayed where they were as he crouched down to watch the wolfess for a few moments. It was rare to find a loner roaming around by themselves, and the 13 year old grey wolf wanted to be extra cautious and make sure she wasn't waiting for another to return before showing himself.

The young shewolf finally stoped gnawing on the bone and sent up a howl calling, wanting to hear her old pack but the only response she got was the wind. The wind that was not in her favor or else she'd of known the male was lurking not too far away . Her ears twitch trying to pick up the sound of wolves but all she heard was wind and birds. She was alone and young and only had just begun hunting with her birth pack so she was still rather sloppy.
She got up and moved to the deer carcass . At least she had this food for a little. She tore another chunk off of it to munch it as she ate. Finally she knew she shouldn't stay near it and grabbed a piece before moving away.
