Cloudbreaker

The open expanse of the Eskers were a welcome reprieve from the stink of the marsh. Even if some of the terrain here was not terribly stable, her hooves at least weren't sinking several inches into mud with every step. With one ear back to account for Kovu, whom she still didn't entirely trust, the zorse slowly crossed through the loamy terrain. Her head was held high, and she'd occasionally stop to test the wind and listen for any noises.

Kovu

Kovu was testing the air his mouth open in a fleming response. I smell a small herd of horses to the west of usHe said.

King was the son of Zaquiem and Mikia. He is dark bay with white stockings. He has a white star on his forehead. He has a bit of black speckling on his neck. His mane and tail are black.. He had joined up with Aalayha, Ulayha and Majesty and was grazing nearby

Aalayha was half thoroughbred half mustang She is dark gruella with dark brown eyes.. She grazed by her daughter and grandson.

Ulayha was also part percheron: She is a very rare brindle in coloration, but during the winter her stripes fade away to give her a solid gruella. She has a black mane and tail.

Majesty other then his mother and grandmothers breed had belgian Draft in him. He has his father's flaxen mane and tail. However, he has a dark chocolate color in comparison and has feathers on his feet like his mother's mustang heritage. He is extremely thick and muscly, not much for speed. His mane is extremely thick and long, but his tail is shorter and thinner, as a thoroughbreds tends to be. he was the youngest present

Cloudbreaker

Cloudbreaker eyed the lion as he tested the wind, mouth open and nose wrinkled. A small shudder ran down her spine as she looked upon all those exposed teeth, but with a deep breath, the mare kept herself steady and focused her thoughts on the information that he provided next. "A herd? I haven't come across many in the Valley lately." Her interest piqued now, and she turned to the west.

The zorse traveled onward, crossing over and around the sandy eskers until at last the form of the other equines came into view. Not wanting to simply walk up to them and potentially provoke a fight, or scare them off with Kovu's presence, Cloud stopped a secure distance away and let out a whinny to catch their attention.

Kovu, King, Ulayha, Alayha and Majesty

Kovu followed her but kept his distance.

King head shot up at the whinny and he snorted. He eyed the zorse then the lion and he moved himself to protect his small herd.You have a lion behind youHe said with a snort.

The others watched.

Cloudbreaker

Cloudbreaker took a few more steps, putting a bit more distance between herself and Kovu. "Aye, he's my protector." She exclaimed to the lead, guessing that he must be the ruling stallion of this small band by the way he responded so quickly while the others stood back. "My name is Cloudbreaker." She shuttered her eyes briefly as a sudden wind whipped across the ground, sending her cream-blonde tail billowing behind her, while her stiff, bristled mane only wavered slightly. "I have a proposition for you, if you'd be interested in hearing my out."

King

King kept himself between the two and his herd. His nostsrils flare.A protector? What you need is a stallion to protect youHe said stomping a hoof.A proposition and what is that?he asks.

Cloudbreaker

Seeing the flare of his nostrils, Cloudbreaker lowered her eyes slightly, but kept her voice strong as she answered the protective brute, "True, and that's why I've come to speak with you, good sir." To the stomping hoof, the zorse held her ground, but was ready to turn and run should things get confrontational. "I live with a group known as the Shadow Haunters, and I am one of two horses within its ranks. I was hoping that..." She paused, thinking on the fly and quickly setting up the words she wanted to use, "...that I may be able to join your clan. And with that, you would be under the Shadow Haunters banner. You'd have the best of both worlds my king - your own family to protect and look after, but with the power of the Shadow Haunters at your back, should you need them. No stallion would be able to challenge you." It was an exceptionally bold move to offer this to King, since she didn't technically have the approval of Senka or Velvet to make such an offer, but she was desperate to be around more of her own kind, and away from so many felines.

King

King watched her carefully but his ears were on the lion. He had had plans on finding a territory for him and his herd to call home soon. He listened to her. that would be appealing to gain new mares and be protected by big cats, however; wit hthat protection we get protection from them hunting us I assume?He said.

Kovu was silent.

Cloudbreaker

His interest brought a spark of hope to her heart. She lifted her dial a little higher and nodded to him, "You would have myself, and almost certainly my friend Darkia." She didn't want to speak on her friend's behalf, but figured Darkia would chose a herd life over one at the Ruins. Either way, Cloudbreaker had already committed to this offer, and boldly continued forward with it, "You would be considered part of the Haunters, and off-limits to the predators. In fact, they would help keep other predators away from the territory, if you requested it. The only requirement they'd ask of you is to help them in turn if it was ever needed."

King

King listened to her words. Perhaps it wouldn't be a bad thing.I could most likely deal with helping themHe said.

Cloudbreaker

Excitement started to thrum through the zorse, imagining life in a real horse herd. Her tail swished emphatically behind her and she bobbed her dial, "Wonderful! Do you have land claimed?" She was already running through her head how best to go about this, and ultimately figured it would be most simple to bring King back with her to meet with Senka and Tersek, rather than drag the entire herd to the Temple, where they might get spooked by all the predators.

King

King shakes his head.we were heading toward Toklat Canyon to see if that was availableHe said calmly.

Cloudbreaker

"I could come with you, if you wouldn't mind." Continuing to take charge of the situation, Cloudbreaker tossed her dial back to Kovu, "It would be best if you went back to the Ruins to inform Senka and Tersek of the situation. Tell them I'll be there as soon as I can, with new allies." The zorse looked back to King and his herd then, "I'm ready to follow, if you'll allow me."

King

King dipps heis head eyes the lion before turning and heading off to the toklat canyon.

Kovu huffed but turned andh ead back.
