Inhumane & Others

They were a band of misfits. Some of them had past alligiances. Some born into certain loyalties. Time elapsed, they lost contact. They wandered. Tossed into the winds. And eventually, these misfits had come together.

Inhumane, son of Sora and Comatose, was their leader. The spirited black wolf was accepting, soft-hearted, something so much different than his malicious father. So much more than his deaf, crippled mother. Inhumane was predestined for something greater, but rather was leading a band of misfits. Maybe this was some twisted destiny...

He took them to the Eskers. The winds of war were vacant, for the while. He signalled the group to stop, allowing the young and older to rest. Among them was his mother, Comatose, and his aunt, Rebirth. His siblings were there, well half of them, as were his cousins (and half-siblings), Rebirth's children.

Then there was Dreamscape and her two daughters, Seascape and Airscape.

A bundle of misfits. Here on the Eskers. (meh, that was a sucky post. forgive me.)

Blacksong

Blacksong was simply wondering, leaving the packlands for a short time. His mate and children had stayed with the pack, and he hoped his father was okay. Although he didn’t like the idea of his dad giving up his position as alpha, he knew it wouldn’t be much longer. Mainly because Gold was so full of grief over his missing mate and children. Blacksong missed his mother, but he had gotten over it, and usually the pups leave when grown. It was best for the pack, and it wouldn’t be long before he addressed the problem with his mate, Technopunk to see what she thought. The brute was almost completely white and his golden orbs are lined with black.

The only difference between him and Windsong, was he was lighter and shorter. Other than that he was a replica, even right down to his white tipped tail. Many told him he looked like his late grandfather, Windsong, but he had never meet this relative. Sadly, Windsong had died before he had been born. Looking up, realizing he had gotten lost in thought, he glanced around to see that he wasn't alone. Nearby, was a large group of canines? He wasn’t going to intrude unless addressed first, especially if they were looking for a fight. Blacksong may weigh 125 lbs and stand at 36 inches, and he wouldn’t be surprised if one of them was bigger, he wasn’t stupid. There were too many wolves here, and his own pack wouldn’t get here in time, if a fight started, so he continued on at the normal walk he was doing earlier. These wolves weren’t going to rush him, in fact he was in a mood for a conversation. Perhaps one of them would call out to him.

Inhumane & Others

Inhumane clamored to the top of a small bolder. The object did little to elevate the black wolf above his peers. Sprawling out, Inhumane bathed himself in the warm sunlight. Summer skewed out a new amount of laziness from the wolf. He didn't want to wander about much today. The heat was a bit unbearable. There had been worse days in the valley over the course of the last three years, but Inhumane hadn't been stressed out back then.

He didn't notice Blacksong. It took his brother, Arctic Terror, to notice that they were not alone on the Eskers. Arctic stepped forward towards the wolf, his tail laying docilely on his back legs. He woofed softly, ignored by his pack, but very obvious to Blacksong.

Blacksong

Blacksong turned towards the brute that stepped in his direction with a woof. A small grin came to his face, and he decided maybe he could have a conversation. Perhaps this group wouldn’t be so bad, maybe they could get along, or at least with this one brute. Padding a few steps toward their direction, mainly the one who barked at him, and he called out in a friendly tone.

Hello. I'm Blacksong.

He waited, wondering if they would be friendly like that one brute. Obviously the brute on the small boulder was the leader. How would he react to him being around his pack member, or a pack as a whole? Blacksong figured this was a roaming pack, and he wondered why they haven't claimed a territory yet. Perhaps a future alliance could be established between them.

Inhumane

Inhumane glanced in Arctic Terror's general direction. Flicking his ears, the ebony wolf rose to his paws to get a better glimpse at what Arctic was oogling over. A distance away, a foreign wolf was greeting Arctic. The alpha leapt down from his perch, striding just several paces from Arctic.

Meanwhile, the white wolf wagged his tail at the stranger. "Arctic Terror, call me Arctic," He greeted kindly, much more kinder than Inhumane would have. The white wolf flashed his brother a glance, ignoring the ounce of hostility he offered. "This is my brother, Inhumane. And our family is over there..."

Inhumane took several more strids forward, standing beside Arctic defensively. "Don't be so kind, Arctic...he's probably part of one of those savage packs," Inhumane snarled.

Arctic growled, pushing his brother with his shoulder. "Stop being so brash, Hummy," Arctic argued, calling his brother by his puppy name. This caused Inhumane to silence.

"Sorry for his..exquisite nature," Arctic quickly apologized.

Blacksong

Silently he watched as the brute came forward more. He introduced himself as Arctic Terror, and another wolf, who he assumed the alpha, came over. His stance was protective, and Blacksong’s guard went up. The wolf’s behavior was explained when Arctic announced him as his brother, Inhumane. However, when Inhumane snarled about savage packs, he found his hackles rising slightly before he calmed himself back down.

My pack isn’t savage.

He looked to Arctic when he reprimanded his brother’s behavior slightly. When he apologized, Blacksong gave a dip of his head with a understanding smile. I’m the same way with my siblings, there’s no need for apology. My pack lives at Sonnet Forest. Might I ask why you don’t have a terra claimed for yours?

He waited for a reply curiosity on his face. Once he was a smaller distance away, a few leaps, he settled his haunches upon the ground. Now he waited for a reply or reaction. Why was this brute so hostile to packs, or as he called them savage packs? Probably because of the wars going on in the valley, maybe he lost someone to them or something? Well, it wasn’t his business, so he continued waiting.
