Windsong

The white brute trotted onto the eskers, giving a long, needed sigh as he breathed in the frigid winter air. The male plopped down under a small pine tree, were the snow was less deep. He just wanted to spend some time outside of the territory, away from the others. Nice peace and quiet. Windsong laid down, blending in almost perfectly with the snow, golden eyes looking at the area. A small gemstone was at his paws, and he pulled it closer. I'll give it to Tahti as a gift. I don't know why....but just because... Windsong thought kindly, smiling. Where was his mate? He had asked her to come, and pop that question about pups. Since their last litter had grown up considerably

Tahti

Tahti met Windsong at the Eskers, a smile on her battle-scarred face the whole time. Her fur had grown thick for the winter, giving her a larger appearance. The wind blew at her coat until she crawled under the tree. She nuzzled her mate lovingly, not yet noticing the gemstone.

Windsong

Windsong smiled, nuzzling Tahti. They were both different sizes, but Tahti was so bold and brave, her size grew with her emotion. "I found this, for you, m'dear." Windsong said tenderly, pushing the emerald gemstone over to Tahti, breathing softly. "It is beautiful, but not nearly as much as you."

Tahti

Tahti, being a coyote, was very fond of shiny things. She found and stashed all the glimmering treasures she could find. Her remaining eye grew wide with awe. "It's beautiful." She said slowly, gently pulling it in with her paws. She looked at Windsong and licked his muzzle.

Windsong

Windsong smiled, Tahti's words warmed him. He didn't know much about her likings, for they had been mates for only a short while. Windsong drew in a cool breath, closing his eyes. "I believe it is time we had another litter of strong warriors, dear Tahti." Windsong said suddenly, hoping he hadn't taken her by surprise. But he doubted, being Tahti had probably been asked this question many times.

Tahti

Tahti smiled. She had been thinking about this a few days ago, actually. "Yes, Windsong. I'd love that." She replied softly.
