Michael; Shannon; Alex
Michael was the first to step foot onto the snowy eskers. After he had a good look around, he motioned for his son and daughter to follow.
Shannon and Alex trailed along behind him. "When are we going to go home?" Shannon asked. "Are you scared?" Alex teased. Shannon shoved him away. "No. I'm just cold." She replied bitterly. Michael looked back at the teenagers. "Hey! Now is not a good time to be fighting!" He scolded. Shannon's eyes widened. "Why? Are there wolves?" She asked fearfully. Michael sighed. "No, but we don't want to attract them, do we?" He replied before turning around and continuing on his way. The children shut their mouths.
Crystal,Jake,and Amy.
Crystal was at the eskers mountain trying to see some wild animals. She heard something and turned to look. She saw a man and two teenagers climbing the mountain. She turned her attention back to the landscape. She would talk to them if they talked to her only. She was still trying to see some wild animals.
Jake was out hiking with his dog Amy.He had a shotgun slung over his shoulder in case of wolves or any other threat.Amy ran ahead searching for birds and squirrels to chase. He turned his head and saw some people. He wondered if they were lost.He whistled for Amy and walked toward them."Yall okay,"he asked.
Michael; Shannon; Alex
Michael looked at Jake. "No, thanks. We're fine." He replied.
Shannon stopped where she was, while Alex wandered off to explore.
Crystal,Wishstar,Jake,and Amy
Crystal glanced up when she heard a voice."No,"she said to the man that had asked if they were lost. She kept one eye on the man and teenagers and the other man.She wished she had one of her dogs with her incase of trouble. Then she realized that Wishstar usually followed her.Glancing around to see if he did,but she made it look like she was looking for wild animals. She saw the male teenager go on instead of stopping. She decided to keep them talking."Do yall live around here,"she asked.Just then Wishstar came out of the bushes. He was a large male dog that could hurt someone if needed to.
Jake nodded his head when they said no.He watched as the young male teenager walk on.Then he glanced back to the others.Amy sat down at his heels like she was trained to do.She sniffed the air when she smelled another dog.Turning her head she saw a male dog come out of the bushes. She said nothing to him and turned her attention back to her master and other humans.Jake ignored the other dog exceptfor a glance at it to see if it would attack his dog.He glanced up with the woman asked him if he lived around here."I live out in the country,"he said.
Michael; Shannon; Alex
Really, Shannon was getting annoyed by all this questioning. But she held her tongue.
Michael smiled as politely as he could at this moment. "We live in the city." He replied, hiding his impatience.
Alex shoved past his sister and looked at the strangers. "We're explorers. What are you doing here?" He questioned.
Crystal,Wishstar,Jake,Amy
Crystal narrowed her eyes at the teenager."Looking for wild life,"she said cooly.Wishstar felt the tension comming off his master and his hair rose on his back in warning to the strange human. He was saying back off as kindly as he could.Crystal looked down at Wishatr, but didn't tell him to calm down. She could, but she didn't yet."What are you exploring for,"she asked. It would of been easier for her looking for wild life if she had brought her horse Sunholder. She might send Wishstar to get him for the dog knew how.
Jake didn'tknow if the teenager was talking to him or not,but he didn't say anything. His shotgun was still slung over his back as well.Amy saw the male's hair rise and she did nothing. As long as he wasn't doing it to her master then it was okay.
Michael; Shannon; Alex
Alex stepped back when the dog behaved aggressively for no apparent reason. "What's up with you and your dog?" He asked, confused as to why the woman and dog would behave so defensively. He just asked a simple question with no offense intended.
Michael moved in front of his children. "I'd appreciate it if you'd keep your dog away from my kids." He said, pushing Alex back further. He assumed that Wishstar had some sort of aggression or dominance problem. "We're not exploring for anything in particular. Just whatever we see."
Alex then looked at Jake. "You never answered the question." Don't you know that's rude? He said boredly.
Shannon trembled behind her father and brother. What was up with that woman and that dog?
Crystal,Wishstar,Jake,AMy
Crystal looked over at them."Me and my dog are fine,"she said. From where she grew up people she didn't know didn't ask her these kind of questions, but she go along with it.She whistled a sharp tone to her dog to calm down.Wishstar let his hair go down when his master gave a sharp whistle.Relaxing he sat down and watched silently.
Jake looked up at the teenager boy."I didn't know you were talking to me as well.I was just up here for a hike,"he said.Amy feeling confident padded up to the man and teenager wagging her tail.If they elt her she licked their hand. She was a kind dog except when her master was in trouble.Once she was done witht hem she padded up to the woman if the male dog let her.She wagged her tail and licked her too if she let her. Then she returned back to her master and sat down at his feet.Jake smiled at his dog. Then looked back up at the others.
Michael; Shannon; Alex
Alex kept his eyes on Crystal and Wishstar, feeling a bit nervous.
Michael listened as Jake spoke. "Well, if you're not too busy, you could hike with us." He suggested.
Shannon looked up at her dad, almost stunned that he would ask a complete stranger to hike with them.
Crystal,Wishstar,Jake,Amy
Crystal stared right back at Alex not going to show fear at some teenage boy.Wishstar layed down sensing no danger. He didn't think the strange humans were bad at all.
Jake smiled at Michael."Thank you i'd be delighted to,"he said.Silently he waited for them to lead the way or whatever.Amy wagged her tail happily.
