Tahti The coyote ran across the barren ground as fast as she could. She was finally away from those humans and their pets. She was finally away from the Shadow Haunters. She was free to do what she wished now. At least for a while. She looked off at the horizon before sitting down and staring at the ground. "Mother, I just don't know what to do anymore. You're gone, and most of my children left or have been taken away from me." She sighed. She spoke as though there was somebody near her, hearing her every word.

Adalai

Sneaky little Adalai. She was no pup, but a young adult now, yet still acted quite immature at times. Maybe unfortunatly for Tahti, Adi had been sitting only a short pace away when she went dashing through, causing Adi's head to lift and her eyes to follow the coyote as she disappeared from view. Was that...? she wondered, getting up immedietly to follow the canine. As she ran after the coyote, her ears failed to pick up the voice once Tahti had stopped. The small hybrid snuck up behind Tahti, actually thinking the coyote was someone she knew. Poor Adi, often getting those she knew mixed up. "Adalai says hey!" she screeched as she launched herself through the air, aiming to knock the coyote to the ground. Little did she know, she was making a pretty big mistake.

Tahti

Tahti turned around and snarled when the dog called out to her, but she was to late to dodge. She was knocked to the ground by the bigger canine. "GET OFF OF ME!" She snapped. "Who are you and what do you want?"

Adalai

Adalai was startled by the sudden outburst, and was sent tumbling to the side to avoid the coyote's rage. Adi tilted her head, mind racing. The voice wasn't familiar at all and this canine didn't look like the one she had mistaken her for. If animals could blush, you'de definitly see bright red shining through Adi's white-furred cheeks. Luckily she couldn't, and the most she could do was stand there with her mouth agape and eyes wide. "O-o-oops!" she suddenly lengthened the o's, wondering why she had just suddenly thought this canine was another one. Maybe her friend hadn't come to the valley after all... Oh well. "I thought you were someone else," she then added quickly, her tail giving a wag. This coyote was touchy, but Adi guessed she would be too if some stranger just suddenly tackled her.

Tahti

Tahti was about to close her jaws around the mutt's throat until she spoke up. She held her head and tail high and her hackles were still raised, but her angry face was replaced with a softer look. "Just be more careful next time." The coyote said, shaking her head. "I am Tahti of the Shadow Haunters." She then introduced herself in that same vacant voice as always.

Adalai

Adi watched the coyote carefully, though seemed to avoid any hints of annoyance. It didn't appear that the other canine was too angry about it anymore anyway, which made Adi sigh in relief. Last thing she needed was an enemy on her first trip to the valley. "I'm Adalai, new to the area," she replied, nodding in an almost proud manner. So now, she tilted her poofy head to the side in curiousity. "Shadow Haunters? Never heard of 'em," she then spoke, shrugging her small shoulders.

Tahti

Tahti sighed and shook her head. "The Shadow Haunters want peace for the Valley. But they've really been going downhill lately. I'm thinking of leaving them and starting my own pack allied to the Haunters." She replied, looking at the dog with her single eye.
