Black Wonder

Talons pounded the earth, appendanges moving so gracefully to the free gait of the Thoroughbred. Wonder slowly made her way towards a small stream, her nares taking in the cold air. Banner held high, tassles flying freely in the wind, Wonder stopped. Orbs searched the land for any danger, but she relaxed as she lowered her muzzle towards the icy water, her kissers meeting the stream's surface. Auds flicked pleasantly. So calm...

Kachine & Wahkan

The sound of hooves thudded over the ground as a large Kiger mustang burst through one of the many eskers in the area, but even that didn't hinder him. He had footing as sure as a mountain goats.
Upon his back sat a girl, with tanned skin and black hair. She rode bareback, clutching his black mane with her hands and holding herself bby his neck, feeling the hair whip back against her face. She savored the feeling of the fresh air, so cool despite the bright sun overhead, until something glistening caught her eye. Directing Wahkan in the direction, she soon realized it was a stream. Her sensitive ears heard as it trickled through it's banks, causing her to shiver. As Wahkan slowed, she swung down over his side and landed with such gracefulness you'de think she were a deer in disguise. Both now standing at the stream, Kachine kneeled down and used her hands to cup some water and drink it, relishing in it's coldness in her throat. That's when she noticed it. Wahkan had emitted a snort and had his head turned, obviously paying attention to something else. This caused Kachine to stand again, straining to look and listen to whatever preoccupied Wahkan. Then she noticed the mare. A slight wow shape forming her lips, though this was nothing new, Kachine decided to give it a go. She had befriened a couple horses in the past. Clucking lightly, she began making her way towards the mare, Wahkan watching protectively over his human.

Black Wonder

Nares flared, the mares cranium shot up with alarm, she hadn't noticed the other equine or human, they were silent as ghosts. Hooves dug into the soft mud, orbs glancing from the human to the horse. The human approached her with such friendliness, so slowly and coolheadedly. Wonder shivered. Friend or Foe? She couldn't decide. Every morsle in her body screamed at her to run, but her muscles remaining as frozen as thick ice. Wonder bobbed her head, taking in a thick breath of the human. Human...

Yet, somehow, the mare remained on the side of the stream.

Kachine & Wahkan

Kachine continued to slowly make her way to the mare, taking soft, easy steps. No need to frighten the creature. "Hey, girl," her light voice came out in a gentle tone. Once a cuple yards from the equine, she carefully went to reached out her hand, offering to sniff.

Wahkan had since started walking towards his owner, though just like her, his steps were silent and smooth.

Black Wonder

Wonder cranned her neck slightly, she took a few curious steps, glancing up at Wahkan. She softly sniffed Kachine's hand, shivering in dismay. Run! Enemy! But the natural born sense of curiosity controlled her like a puppet.

Kachine & Wahkan

Kachine could almost sense the tension in the air from the mare, though she did her best not to appear as the enemy. Keeping her hand out, she clucked and cooed softly, wanting the mare to trust her. Maybe not right off the bat of course, but she enjoyed having company, and that company she liked came in the form of an animal.

Wahkan simply stood there, watching with a heated gaze. His muscles tensed.

Black Wonder

Wonder lipped at the human's wrist, interested on this new scent. So femine and kind smelling, her nostrils soon wandered to the human's face, wherer she blew soft, whiskers touching the human's face. Wonder then squealed playfully, pawing the ground eagerly. Would this human play? She may be six years old, but who said you couldn't stop playing?

Little had she known what was in store....

Kachine & Wahkan

Kachine figured the mare wouldn't be sure, but she was caught a bit off-guard when a squeal suddenly emitted from the equine. She stepped back as fast a she could, ready to turn and run to Wahkan if need be, but then realized all too well that that was just a show of play. Grinning to herself, she started forward again and tried to pat the mare, wondering if she'de stay still long enough to do so.

Wahkan still stood a ways off, watching intently.

Black Wonder

Wonder shivered, she was just as unsure as the human. She pinned her ears back as she stepped back, but stayed. Slowly Wonder reached out and nibbled lightly on the humans hair, interested on this creature. She eyed Wahkan for a moment, but lowered her head and nuzzled the human's legs, trying to make sure she was 100% friendly.

Kachine & Wahkan

As the mare nibbled on her hair, Kachine went to easily lift her hands up and place them on the mare's nose. She hoped she wouldn't seem too threatening by doing such a thing, though even if Wonder pulled back Kachine would stay where she was. She'de even like the mare to become friends with Wahkan, however possible that'de be.

Wahkan just continued to stand there.

Black Wonder

Wonder had decided Kachine was friend. The human's hands lightly touched her nose, she flinched, but remained still. Legs stiff as rocks, she rocked slightly, flicking her tail lightly. Wonder stared at Wahkan, ears pulled forward, nostrils flared. She tossed her head to him. "This is your human? Is she not?" Wonder asked softly, her voice creamy. "I trust her." Wonder touched the human's shoulder with her nose, a sign of trust.

Kachine & Wahkan

Kachine smiled lightly as the mare touched her shoulder. She figured this was the sign, one of trust. She felt happy at this, that she finally made another friend. Friend of four legs, that is. She reached out slowly to pet the mare's face, keeping that striking smile.

Wahkan watched from where he stood, having taken a couple steps since then. He gave a snort, "Yes, she is, and you will find she's much more." he stated, in almost an authoritive tone, though it was just him. Him and strangers just went along strangely.

Black Wonder

Wonder looked at Kachine, shuttering softly and let Kachine's soft hands touch her ebony pelt. The words echoed in her mind, 'you will find she's much more'. Wonder gave a faint smile...humans. So many called them demons. But this humans....this human was like a angel.
