Tri-Tundra
searches for rabbits for a very kind friend. she smelled some, so they should be close.
*Prey*
Sure enough, the Eskers is one of the best places to find, and catch, rabbits. The wind carries to you the scent of a rabbit just over the side of one of the eskers... scent also tells you that there are babies, and that they are pretty big...
Tri-Tundra
the light wolf dodges from sight and creeps silently up to the scent the wind carried her to. seeing prey around a hole, she pounces, reaching for any necks she could bite, hoping to get down the big ones, so she could go for the small ones next.
*Rabbits*
Do too a serious wound to her hind leg, the mother rabbit tries to run from you, but cannot go far so you are able to take her by the neck and kill her. The rest of the younger, but still large rabbits run in all directions. Lucky for you, the land here is very open, so you might be able to catch a few.
Tri-Tundra
in a mad rush..... she darts towards the slowest, easiest ones to catch, trying to catch um. maybe she could them the other way to trap them in their hole, then dig up as much as she could. she hoped, in case she didn't get any, the babies were still in the den, making it an easier run.
*Rabbits*
You get nearer to three rabbits, all running in a zigzag pattern. One suddenly splits off from the rest, and heads for a thicket of thorns and small shrubs. The other two head down a steep esker. You are within reach of the two rabbits in head of you, if you leap...
Tri-Tundra
with a burst of speed and energy, and of fun, she leaps long toward the two, pouncing with great might
*Rabbits*
One paw comes down on the hind leg of one rabbit, breaking it. But as you landed from your leap, you lose your balance on the steep esker. You go tumbling down it with sand and little pebbles skittering down the slope as well. Luckily, you aren't injured, although probably a bit dizzy. By mere chance, the second rabbit had been struck by one of your hind paws as you tumbled down the esker, and your paw chanced to hit his skull rather hard; enough to kill him.
The rabbit with the injured hind leg tries to get away, but is slow. A simple bite to the neck would kill him quickly. And by now, the rest of the rabbits have hidden, although you can still track down their scent.
Tri-Tundra
she feels very dizzy, and is somewhat limping, but realizes the other one is running, so she leaps out again to him, bites its neck, and picks that one up., then the other one, and takes them to the dead mother and places them on top of each other. she digs a hole, burying them, and hides, half dazed in a bush, till she could come back to her senses.
Tri Tundra
gets up, grabs prey, leaves.
