Risen

The gray huntress moved with stealth into the lands of the Eskers. A wild glowing deep inside as her plan began to weave itself together. She just had to convince Cavan it was the right thing to do, and to her, it was. Betrayal was about to betray the pack. Kill the snake before it hatches was the only thought she had about the factor, but she couldn't do it alone....

Her evil smile crossed her form again as she hid herself to where others would not find her, only Cavan.

Cavan

Assassination was something Cavan had absolutely no objections against; in fact, it was a skill that he was actually rather good at. The problem came when his morals conflicted with the target. He could be vicious and bloodthirsty, but his victims had to have done something wrong in his mind first. He needed reason.

Trailing after Risen, Cavan surveyed the land around, just to be sure no one was trailing them. "What's the plan?" He inquirred, single eye narrowed in thought. The wolf had no clue what his alpha was about to propose.

Risen

As the brute came forth Risen rounded upon him. A wicked smile dancing on her features as she began to saunter around him. Her body was small, she was quite petite yes muscled and well balanced. The most intimidating was her posture and gaze, a gaze that could cut through life itself. Her expression was dark and deadly, though had dark humor tied in to it.

Her walk led her around the brute, circling him with outstretched steps. She smiled then hissed darkly. " Two females leading a pack..." she pause letting the words linger. She herself paused and slightly faced him. "A funny thought don’t you think?" She continued her walk more slowly now, paws still stretching out. " A little story you should hear before I ask you this... Me and... Betrayal, have been rivals, ever since we were pups. We swore to kill each others, every chance we had we would fight but would always be cut short." She halted, her eyes not on him now but she was slightly in front of his own view. “I finally grew tired of being a Shadow Lurker, they were not as strong as I saw them to be when I was a pup. I am stronger than they, and to prove it I left to create my own pack. Betrayal was there as well, begging for me to end her life. Instead I struck a deal to make a pack, and she agreed..."

Her words cut off and she stared to the horizon. Harks laying against her skull, a small temper rising. "You see the pack today, and I plan for it to get larger, stronger, and more known to the world. I would like it to rule the world, but we must take baby steps." She hissed a laugh. "The reason, I called you here is... I believe Betrayal is going to turn against me, and I fear it will plunge the pack into chaos and destroy the Haunters all together." She turned around, gold eyes intense and staring into his forehead. "She kept in the shadows while I made this pack, she calls herself my equal. If she turns against me she will turn against the pack. She will destroy all those loyal to me with her allies of whom don’t reside as members. It’s an attack from within that must be stopped before it starts." Her rage burned her more and her hackles rose. She snapped at the air to the side, then let her body follow her bite. "The only way I knew she was ready to fight for power, a power she does not deserve, was before we left. She looked like she was ready to kill me then, but she wont do it in front of the pack. I am not a 100 percent sure if she will kill me, but I do know if she takes the position, the Haunters will fall… I didn’t want to resort to killing her, I respect her as a wolf, but fate is fate and it has been our destiny to duel to the death..." She fell silent, rage seething within her.

"My request is. Kill her before she kills me, and sends this pack plummeting to hell for the worse. It doesn't have to be now, but I know it shall be soon."

Cavan

His single eye trailed her as she circled, feeling unnerved by her movements, but not letting that show in any way. Instead, he adopted the look of dark humor in a slight grin and listened closely to what she was informing him of. It was a shock to hear what she wanted of him, although he had previously sensed the tension between the two faes.

"Betrayal... how ironic the name is." Cavan began, ready to speak his mind and work through his own thoughts out loud. "I'll tell you one thing about me, Risen. I don't kill those who don't deserve it, who don't have it coming to them." He snorted slightly, his mind whirling still with Risen's words, "I give my word with my life- I don't lie, and I don't pretend to be someone I'm not." The grizzled brute was silent again, still sorting things out as he tried to come to a conclusion that eluded him at first. "To those that lie and go against their word, who are not loyal... they don't deserve loyalty from me. Betrayal was a friend of my son's..." Cavan changed tracks as Risen's request conflicted in his mind. "Yet she..." He shook his head, snarling in frustration and confusion. Tupit was dead anway. So now, it came down to the only other significant in his life. His dear sister, Nachi. If Risen was right about what she said, Betrayl's disruption of the pack could put his pup-crazy sister in danger. More danger than he could bail her out of.

Finally, he looked hard to Risen, his steely-gold eye boring intently into her, seeking for a sincere answer, "I don't take heart in doing it, yet I will honor your request. But Risen, I need your word that my sister will always remain safe with Haunters." Lightening up a bit, his own hackles raising slightly in pure exhileration, Cavan added one last peice, "If we succeed... no, when we succeed with this... then the World is ours."

Risen

Her stare was strong on him the whole time he spoke. His confusion was clear with his hesitations and fumbling. She would consult Dally, who had been with the other alphess prior, to confirm any misguided actions. Until then, they had to lay on the down low.

"Yes, When..." She cackled slightly. Her mind lighting aflair with the words of promise. "I promise you this, Cavan, your sister does her job better than any could hope to do. She will be safe with us as long as she remains loyal. She is one I highly respect, I don't doubt she will stay by our side. It is there she will have the best of our protection. She will mother many an orphan, she seems to love pups so it will be her job to be with them." She nodded then turned and began to head back to the hunting ground. "Dearest Cavan. Understand your position holds until Betrayal is dethrowned. If I am proven incorrect about her methods, you shall rise as a complete equal or higher than me." She snickered "Though doely note: This is my confidence she is a rotten egg in the bunch. After she is dethrowned you will be placed as alpha male. Together, we will send the Haunters to the top. Respected by all those who ally with us, feared by those who are against us, and loved by one another in our own close knit packs." She gave a cold smile.

"But remember, The attck shall only comense when the signal is given. I shall ask my spy before the... punishment.. takes place." With that she began to canter back to the group of wolves in the bog.

Cavan

The entire thing still didn't sit entirely well with him at the moment, but he was swayed by Risen. His word was given, and so long as he saw no under-handed intentions from the female, he would remain loyal to her and the assassination plot. Besides, he greatly fancied the idea of domination, which he knew wouldn't be possible without the help of others.

"We've got a deal, then. As long as my sister is safe and happy, I see no quarrels with this." He flashed a small grin, trying to push aside his feelings of unnease as he trailed after Risen to the Bog.
