The ghostly white wolfess was tredding through the eskers, searching for some of her own prey. Preferably, a caribou, or some other type of "larger" animal, just as long as it wasn't moose size. They were plain dangerous to take down by yourself, or so the ones with the giant horns were, and they could especially do some damage when you had a wounded leg. Spirit's hindleg was still bandaged up with the paste against it, but she had shoved the thoughts of pain out of her mind. Hunger was commanding her actions now, as she used the sandy ground to muffle the sounds of her paws trotting along on the ground. She also used the eskers to remain hidden from anything that could possibly be nearby. Her black nose worked the entire time, nostrils quivering, her senses keeping alert to the direction of the wind. Spirit was naturally an expert hunter, and the eskers only helped her more. Luckily, her leg didn't seem to pain her or handicap her movements. She should be able to take something down using the real method wolves used while hunting their prey. She was only one, but with her tactics, it should be a lot easier. But then again, Spirit wasn't a bragger.
The tall eskers could only help or hurt her, and they were helping her right now. Even if she lost anything, she didn't fret. There was always the fish she could go to, but she craved the real deal of a meal. Oh joy. Tha would take some good work and keen senses.
Surveying the land with her baby blue eyes, which stood out eerily on her pure white pelt, she thought over how she'de attack and take down her prey. No matter how she did it, she'de try what she usually did. While it seemed that everyone in this valley didn't use the same method, she was about to put it to test in this area. Simply running into fight wasn't the greatest idea, but that was simply what Spirit thought. She figured, anyway.
Finally stopping at the very edge of a large esker, she kneeled down, nearly onto her belly. Her legs were in a comfortable position, even her wounded one, as she waited there for some unsuspecting prey. They can run but they sure can't hide. Not from Spirit's nose.

Deciding to just give up on this hunt, since she was obviously getting nowhere with sitting here, she quickly got to her paws and trotted off. She'de just go for some pike at the lake, for now.
