He had gotten word of Charlene's death after hearing from a friend of his who worked as an EMT. He had been worried about the older lady after not hearing from her for a while, and felt horrible that he hadn't gone to check on her sooner.

Now he road Abhay through town, on his way to her appartment. She had no family, and Aralyn was missing. He knew it was now his responsibility to check on the animals there and figure out what to do with her house.

Eeva always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. She rode her horse along the street and noticed a familiar face. "Nadeem?" She called out, surprised. "Is that you?"

Stopping Abhay, who for once obyed without trouble, Nadeem smiled. "Eeva! What a surprise!" Not one to put his burden on others, he didn't mention the death of his friend. "What brings you Down Town?"

Eeva smiled back. "I was just going for a walk with Katariina." She replied cheerfully. "If I may ask, what brings you Down Town?"

Katariina neighed to Abhay. "Hei. It's good to see you again." She said casually.

When she asked, Nadeem looked down briefly, his smile hinted with sorrow now, "Rather sore news, I'm afraid. A close friend of mine has passed. She has a lot of animals, and no family or friends to care for them." He explained, then shook his head, "But that is nothing to trouble you with. I don't want to bother you in your walk."

Abhay bobbed his head, "Hey! Looking good as ever, I see." The little stallion said, always quick to throw a compliment to a mare.

Eeva frowned. Death was one thing that she didn't like to hear about. "I have plenty of free time. If you need any help with the animals, I'd be happy to give it." She offered.

Katariina smiled sweetly. "And you as handsome as ever." The big mare complimented.

Secretly glad to hear her offer, Nadeem replied, "If it's not a burden for you, I could use a hand. It's just a few miles out of town, if you'd like to go now."

If he could blush, Abhay's face would have turned crimson. It was rare that he got any compliments back. "I-uh, well, thanks."

Eeva nodded. "I'm ready to go anytime you are." She replied happily.

Katariina would have blushed as well, if a horse could. "You're welcome." She replied back.

"Thank you, Eeva." He replied, brightening up a little. He was happy to have found such a nice person in such an uncertain city. Gently kicking at Abhay's sides, he urged the stallion forward.

Abhay just smiled stupidly for a moment, not sure just what to say now. Nadeem had to give him a harder kick before he came to his senses and began to trot forward. "Oh, it looks like your coming with us? Nice, nice." He murmured happily.
