Deniki

A large, brown-hued form of a canine came trotting silently into the town. He had been traveling on a dirt road for the past days, perhaps even a week, and to tell the truth, he could still keep going. He was quickly tiring out though now, for the sun was coming out from the clouds and weighing him down with intense heat. With the sun practically riding upon his back, and keeping it all in mind, the first thing those honey-rich eyes saught out was shade. And there seemed to be plenty of it here.
Coming to slow down as he past the first few run-down buildings, he continued along up that wide backway. He was the farthest thing from actually being frightened of humans, he was simply wary, and his flickering auds and quivering nares and glancing eyes showed that enough. This area seemed to have much fewer people, and many more cats. Cats weren't a very big thing for him, for he had been taught lessons by them one too many times when he was a pup.
Turning down a smaller, more cramped alleyway, he headed to where there was a lot of dampness and darkness, and came to halt just in front of an overturned wooden crate. Perfect for him. There seemed to be no one else around. He would stop here, take a rest, and then go out to scavenge for some food. All the way here, all through those long vigorous hours of the past days, he had lived off of mostly rats and mice, and that was just a stretch, for he didn't particularly enjoy eating stuff off the field. They were quite tangy-- not even close to what he normally ate, and that was human garbage. Icky as it may sound, he saw no problem with it, for he had lived off of it all his life.
So finally, easing himself into the open crate, he turned and curled up. His fur was somewhat riddled with dust particles, and though his stomach growled for something to eat, his legs ached even more for some well-earned rest.

This is life through my eyes...

Robin Hood

Suddenly a dead possum was dropped in front of Deniki's nose. Robin Hood peaked over the top of the crate and into it. "You hungry?" he asked, although he was well aware Deniki was sleeping. He jumped off the crate, landing without a sound and sat down. There was a large pack strapped to his back, it was stuffed to the brim of bursting with food and supplies and what-nots. He always was around to help, even when he wasn't needed it seemed. Of course how could you blame him his master was a decendant of Robin Hood the human , how could he not have those instincts? He laid down with his head on his paws and waited.

Deniki

Deniki had been snoozing peacefully for such a short amount of time, when something suddenly thumped to the ground in front of him. Whatever it was, it smelled a bit 'raw'. What could you expect? He only lived off of human garbage before, and his mother had told him what they do with their food. He had always loved the two-leggeds' unique styles of food.
Nonetheless, his nares twitched as the scent was brought in, and he lifted his head when the wolf appeared. Auds going back just a bit at first, he quickly realized that this canine must not mean any harm. At least it didn't look like it, and Deniki was usually a good judge of another's character.
"Yes," he slowly replied, a bit unsure of what was going on. He stared down at the small animal, wondering what in the world it was. It looked like a bigger version of those rats he ate. He began to sniff it ever so lightly, ready to take a reluctant taste of it first.

Robin Hood

Robin Hood stared at Deniki as he sniffed the possum "It's called a possum" he said cocking his head to the right."I got it from the meat store. Dan always gives me somthin' when I go by there."he smiled as he watched the wolf/dog sniff at it reluctantly "try it, its really good" he said. He rolled over and when he sat back up his pack was lying neatly on the ground, off of his back.

Deniki

Deniki continued to sniff at the strange animal in front of him, and glanced at the wolf. It smelled good, but what would it taste like? It couldn't possibly be as good as the human food.
Slowly, but surely, his salmon tongue flicked out over the fur of the opossum. At first, he was still unsure, but then he began to get a better taste of it, and was soon ripping a piece off of the creature's furry body. Although the fur was covering over it, he tried his best to tear through that, almost as though he was skinning it as he ate.
"It's good," he stated with a mouthful of the new meat. It was different, quite different from his usual. He had never really eaten any real animals before, but he knew of the wild canines doing that. This was just one step closer to living out there. "Thanks," he then said, still ripping through it. As he did, he watched the wolf curiously, wondering what the pack was for.

Robin Hood

Robin Hood watched with delight as Deniki ate the food..."would you like some more?" he asked, smiling a bit. He turned around to his pack blocking it from the sight of Deniki and when he turned around he had another furry animal in his mouth. Then, when he saw Deniki looking at his pack he moved in front of it, blocking it from view. He spit the animal out then, "I am Robin Hood direct decendent of Robin Hood, the human's wolf, by the name of Robin. And you are?" he asked.

Deniki

Deniki gave a light sigh as he went to finishing off the creature. Now, once he had eaten the last bit of flesh, he ran his tongue over his sharp teeth and even got the small traces left behind. Officially finished with that, he watched the wolf curiously. Still lying in his crate, he gave a small nod. "Sure," he answered, auds flickering.
"I'm Deniki." he simply stated, his front end sticking out of the crate now. He was about ready to get back up. He was also curious of what this wolf was hiding, but he wouldn't be the one to ask such questions.

Robin Hood

Robin Hood picked the new animal up and tossed it to Deniki "nice to meet you now, see if you can guess what this one is" he said as he laid down once more, making sure he was directly in front of his pack. He smiled fully this time, showing his teath, razor sharp, white as snow, and huge.

Deniki

The wolf dog gave another light sigh, feeling his eyelids become heavy. He hadn't gotten much sleep yet, but at least his hunger was being satisfied.
His caramel eyes studdied the other canine, wondering what animal he had this time. It was furry, and smelled like meat. Of course. "Rabbit?" he then asked, taking a wild guess. He had never seen any wild animals before, he had only heard of them. So, based off of what he had heard about rabbits and such, he made his guess. Then he waited to hear what it really was, and eagerly nipped at it.

Robin Hood

"close enough" RObin Hood smiled "it's a hare" he said "eat it, it tastes amazing" he looked at Deniki, seeing that he was tired "do you need a place to sleep?" he asked cocking his head to the right. He rolled over onto his pack then stoob back up with it on his back once more. There was a wooden bow stivking out of the top.

Deniki

Deniki felt a tweak of pride at almost getting it right, since it was close enough for him. Taking the wolf's word for it, he began to maul on the hare's limbs, creating mangled stumps where a perfect paw once had been. He found these animals quite appetizing, and the whole time he thought about the wilderness. Oh yes, he'de need someone to further teach him to hunt and whatnot, or else he could just try to handle it all himself.
"Delicious," he then stated, licking his chops once more as he finished off the last bit. "Kinda, I'm just passing by here. Stopped for a rest." he then replied with a slight yawn, ending it quickly. Then he eyed Robin Hood, wondering what that pack was for again. The wolf seemed to carry a lot of things in that sack.

Robin Hood

Robin Hood smiled "oh really? Where you headed?" he asked, shifting his weight. "perhaps you would like to travel with me? I have planty of supplies , all that we need... and more..." he said again rolling over and standing back up with his pack off, after realizing they were not leaving soon.

Deniki

Deniki watched the wolf with a now inquisitive gaze as he asked the question. "I was planning on staying around here, actually. Until I get some time to head out to the wilderness." he stated, giving a small nod and flicking his auds. He was feeling quite relaxed and at ease now, probably one of the first times since leaving his original home.
Then, he gave his dial a tilt. "Travel with you? That'de be a pretty good idea," he replied, with a somewhat lopsided grin. With that finished, he stuck his fore legs out in front of him and stretched.

Robin Hood

"well I most certainly do not mind traveling with you nor you with me" he said repeating his pack ritual of roling over and standing back up. "I could help you in the wilderness it is my home after all" he said, looking up at the sky.

Deniki

The wolf dog couldn't help but give his head one more tilt, suddenly remembering the strange pack on the brute's back. Gaining his footing and easing himself out of the crate, even stretching again, he studdied the other. "Then that shouldn't be a problem."
"By the way, what's the sack-thing for?" he asked, auds pricking as he spoke. He was quite curious of that pack, and wondered why such an animal, or any creature for that matter, would carry around such a thing. And it was strange how he got in on and off.

Robin Hood

Robin Hood's eyes grew small when the question was asked, he quickly turned his head away mumbling in answer "you will find out soon enough".

Deniki

Deniki's eyes narrowed slightly when Robin Hood simply mumbled his reply. He stood up then, his frame fairly tall, with a lot of lean muscle. Once more, a yawn came from him, though this time much wider and heavier than before. Then he recovered and gave his thick pelt a brisk shake, "But anyway," he began, auds flickering, "what about that wilderness? My plans weren't to head there very soon," he finished, his banner becoming slightly curled toward the end, holding it somewhat above his haunches. He may not be quite ready for the wild, yet.

Robin Hood

Robin Hood smiled politly "Well I do not mind traveling with you nor you with I" he said shifting the pack on his back to a more comfortable position "the wilderness is my true home, so I can help you when we do finally go there"

Deniki

Deniki continued to stand there, ruffling up his pelt, and then he finally took a seat upon his sleek haunches. He didn't know what now, whether to stay here or just go. He hadn't expected on getting a traveling partner or anything, and him being a 'particial' loner, he was a bit unsure of it. Even despite that, he was glad he actually had someone to talk to.
"I've lived among the humans all my life," he finally stated, eyes resting on the brute.
I know them... he then thought, giving a light sigh as he did. He also knew plenty of other hybrids and dogs as well. Your typical stray you could call him, fresh from the streets, and looking forward to a new life.

Robin Hood

"I have always lived with my master, also Robin Hood, but he lives out in the wilderness, he acts just as one would in the wilderness" Robin Hood said, he got the feeling Deniki was reluctant to go with a partner.

Deniki

Deniki watched the wolf, listening to his words quite intently now. So, he lived with a human? That wasn't at all awkward to Deniki, but the part that they lived in the wilderness startled him a bit. Giving a light snort, he felt almost relieved to have come across someone with decent knowledge of the wild, or vise versa. Of course, Deniki already knew a good bit about the wilderness, from his father, who had lived there all his life. Deniki was actually proud of his heritage.
"Another Robin Hood?" he asked, his voice revealing his curiousity. Then he turned toward the path of the alleyway, which led out into the wide barren dirt road. "When we leave is up to you now," I soppose...

Robin Hood

"If you would like to meet him I will gladly take you to him." Robin Hood bowed his head, he suddenly go the feeling Deniki was not very happy about somthing.

Deniki

"I'de enjoy meeting this human of yours," Deniki answered, giving a small nod. Blinking the tiredness away from his eyes, he stood up and waited. He didn't know where this human was, or where any places were. He would need Robin to lead him there. Although he was feeling just a bit out of place, he knew humans enough to feel well around them. He just hoped this two-legged wouldn't be like the ones from 'back home'.
"Ready when you are!"
