Nadeem Tarak

After a night spent with Jess and Clarke, Nadeem had fully committed himself to helping the pair out. Well, at least helping them find someone who could help them out, as he was not exactly cut out for detective work involving people. Animals, absolutely, but murderers... not so much. That promise for aid had led him to contacting officer Sohmers, and setting up a meeting between him and his two friends today, outside of a small diner downtown.

The weather was pleasantly warm in the early hours of the morning when Nadeem stepped out of the diner and found himself a seat at one of the several outside tables. After taking a bite of his bagel and a sip from his coffee, the dark-haired fellow fished a phone from his pocket to check the time. Ryan was to meet him here shortly, and if all went well, Jess and Clarke too.

Clarke and Jess

The old truck pulled into the parking lot, its engine sputtering to a halt. After taking a few seconds to check her phone and make sure this was the right address, she stepped out of the vehicle and Clarke shortly followed. He still clutched his side, albeit not as tightly. He seemed a bit zoned out and had to be guided to the diner; surely the effect of a fairly potent painkiller.

Jess spotted Nadeem sitting at a table outside and maneuvered through the gate, pausing to ensure Clarke made it through as well, before joining Nadeem at the table. Clarke sat down as well, hunched over, just lucid enough to ask his new friend a question. “So… This is all under the table, right? Your cop friend is gonna be the only one on the case?”
