Morgan Rite
Morgan had seen her house come into veiw. Well, her and her sisters house. She parked her truck on the side and got out. She went around opening the passenger door and getting the rope and tugging it very little. She led him up to the house. Unlocking it with her key. She went in, letting him in. She closed the door behind them. She took the rope off and set it on the counter. She would use it til she went to the store to get a leash and collar. She called Gunther over as she sat on the couch. She looked at him. She was ready for a dog. Especially since she had left her 14 dogs behind. She was a sled racer. She was also a girl who loved to spend time with her dogs and family. She looked at Gunther and waited for him.
Gunther
Gunther watched as an assortment of buildings rushed by the window. He looked ahead now, unaware that they were nearing the house. He knew they were there once he noticed the truck engine die down to silence so he stood up in the seat-- or at least he tried to stand. He had to turn sideways before he could fit all fours on the seat. He jumped down out of the truck and followed her up to the house. His eyes washed over the building. This was to be his new dwelling. Being a dog, he didn't much care what the place looked like, just that it was nice and warm inside.
Once he stepped inside he was overcome with different scents and sights. His nostrils flared to take it all in. He could smell human mostly. The faint smell of food also lingered for his sensitive nose to pick up. He was almost too engulfed in this new place to realize that Morgan called him but when he heard his name amid the noise of his mind he perked up and looked at her. The couch! A soft place to sit! Legs clamoring against the floor he took off into the other room and immediately hopped up onto the seat with Morgan. This is where he curled into something of an irregular ball of thick black fur. Life was good-- although he was a bit hungry.
Morgan Rite & Jason Wells
She smiled. ''Good boy!'' she said. Petting him behind his ear and then on his side. She got up to fix his bowls. Of food and water. She now had two metal dog bowls on the counter. She filled one up with water, putting that one down first. She then searched for the dog food, once finding it. She filled the bowl up and placed it on the ground next to the water. She would let him explore as long as he needed. She noticed him that he had lived in a house before. She smiled and watched him as he curled up. She sat back down next to him and got the remote. She turned the TV on and flipped through the channels before stopping it and turning it to Teen Mom 2. She jumped slightly hearing the door bell. She got up and opened the door slightly.
She smiled when she saw her boyfriend Jason. She opened the door and let him in. Just in case Gunther barked or anything she went over to him and petted his back. ''Jason, this is Gunther. My new dog. I just got him and dont plan on losing him anytime soon. If you want to stay, Jason, you have to get used to him.'' she said
Jason walked in and nodded. Bending down he held his hand out for Gunther.
Gunther
Gunther began to pant happily as she petted him. Still panting, he twisted his body so his head was now upside down with his tongue lolling out over the edge. He could get used to this again. When she stopped he stayed in that position, finding it oddly comfortable. The softness of the couch felt more amazing on his fur as long as he didn't get himself pinched by laying on a few hairs the wrong way. By now he also had a bit of static building up in his coat. He seemed to be in a dazed state the entire time she prepared his food and water. His eyelids were drooped halfway over his cinnamon eyes. His tongue was flopped out on the couch as well. His stomach said food but the rest of his body said nap. He was about to fall asleep when he heard the doorbell ringing. At the sudden sound he sat upright and looked towards the noise. Someone was outside! He watched as his owner got up and opened the door a bit before walking back over to him. He did really want to bark and was about to when he felt her hand on his back. He did however let out a deep grumbling growl. He looked up at the unknown man with a half-curious half-alert gaze. It appeared his owner was familiar with this man. When the new hand was held out for him, he reached out with his neck and began sniffing him. He had the same sort of scent as the house. Calming, the black dog bent backwards and settled into the couch cushion, but kept his eyes on Jason the entire time.
Morgan Rite
Morgan smiiled and sat by Gunther. She petted behind his ear. Jason, sat in the chair beside the couch. He was looking at Gunther. Morgan smiled and looked at Jason ''Where have you been is what im wondering?'' she asked.
''Been coming here after I found out you moved'' he said, his deep country accent was kinda loud. Morgan looked at him ''its sweet you came here, but I just think you should find your own place. Get a job and maybe then we'll find our own place. And we'll bring Gunther along with us. I couldnt leave him, not now, not ever. Im not up and leaving him like I did my other fourteen dogs. Not this time. And not ever again.'' she said.
Jason opened his mouth ''I understand. Cant I stay here til I find my own place and then we can move there?'' he asked.
''Fine. But your not sleeping in my room with me. You'll sleep on the couch. Gunther is free to wonder where he wants so if he bothers you. Then you get out of the house. Ok Jason? Im not re-doing what happened last time.'' she said. He nodded. Morgan again was still petting Gunther.
Gunther
Gunther still had his eyes locked on Jason, the unfamiliar man. He didn't really know either human but he was smart enough to know that he belonged to the girl who had come to get him. He would follow each movement of the man with his eyes, listening to their conversation despite not being about to understand it. He could certainly hear the tone of their voices, though. He was quite alert to it. Heaving a sigh, he finally plopped down onto the couch with his head now resting across Morgan's leg. He was still hungry but he'd get to that soon. In fact, he felt he still had a lot of check out. He had an entire house to explore. Then he wondered what they would do later, if anything. Suddenly feeling the need to stretch, he stuck each of his long limbs out over the edge of the cushion, lightly snagging his claws against the fabric.
Morgan Rite
Jason looked at Morgan ''Ill be back later tonight ok'' he said. He got up giving Morgan a hug and going out the door.Morgan watched and then got up. ''Come one Gunther lets go outside!'' she said. Opening the slide back door. She went out leaving the door open for Gunther. She picked up a ball and turned to Gunther ''Want it?'' she said holding it up. She turned and threw it. ''Go get it!'' she said as she did. She watched Gunther and smiled. She waited for him. She looked around her yard. The big yard. She smiled at the big yard. She then looked at Gunther.
Gunther
The large black dog remained motionless as Jason got up and hugged Morgan. Then the man seemed to be gone just as soon as he appeared. He gave an odd grumble when the girl stood, causing his head to tumble back lightly onto the cushion, almost like he was a rag doll. He then lifted his head to watch her. She was leaving the house without him! Now was the first time he barked as he got up and shoved off the couch with his hing legs. He stormed through the house and out the open door, nearly tripping in the process.
Once outside, he lifted his head towards the sky and sniffed the air. Was that barbecue? Waving his bushy tail behind him he turned and looked at Morgan. She had a ball in her hand. Hearing her speak he bounded up to her, giving light playful barks. He certainly did want that ball! Then she did just as he expected-- she threw it. He watched it fly through the air across the yard and land on the grass, bouncing from the impact. He charged after the toy and scooped it into his mouth as he ran past. He circled back around at a brisk trot and brought it back to her. He finally dropped it onto the ground before looking back up at her expectantly.
Morgan Rite
She picked the ball up. She shook it and threw it again, this time a little harder. She had forgotten about the trampoline in the yard a little to the left when she spotted it. She took her shoes off and socks. She ran towards the trampoline. She easily jumped up and then she jumped high up in the air. She jumped off and looked at Gunther. She smiled and waited for him to come back with the ball. She liked the feeling of the grass between her toes and on her feet. She smiled as the wind blew. Blowing her hair. She then looked at Gunther. She looked towards the fence and then back down at Gunther.
Gunther
Gunther waited until she picked the ball up. When she did, he began to bounce slightly in place. He kept his eyes on it as he waited for it to go flying across the yard again. Then she threw it and he was off. He wasn't even paying attention to her as she ran to the trampoline-- as a matter of fact he hadn't even noticed it. He once again dashed over the ground to grab the ball in his mouth and then turned back. That was when he realized she moved. He ran to her and once again dropped the ball at her feet. By now it was all slobbery and had blades of grass sticking to it. He sat back on his haunches and looked at her. His head was tilted.
Morgan Rite
Morgan smiled and sat down in front of him. She petted him and rolled him over on his back. She rubbed his belly. She then laid in the grass by him. Looking at the sky as she petted him. She smiled and looked at the leaves go by and the clouds. She looked at him. Wondering how she had come across such a great dog? She only knew that she wouldnt up and leave him. Not like she did the others. Not now. Not ever. She smiled and continued petting him.
Gunther
Gunther was now heavily panting from all the running back and forth. It was a good workout though and totally worth it, especially after being cooped up in the pound for so long. Not much running you could do there. With a large doggy-smile, he rolled onto his back with his legs up in the air as she rubbed his belly. His tongue was once again lolling out his mouth and caking the grass in slobber. Suddenly he began to bend and twist his body. He scratched his back against the ground as he did so, tail flapping in the air. Finally he got up and began to sniff around the yard. Blades of green grass were stuck throughout his thick black coat.
Morgan Rite
Morgan watched him, smiling. She got up and went into the house, leaving the door open. She came back out with a bottle of water, again leaving the door open. She sat in the grass and opened the cap. She took a few gulps and closed the lip. She watched Gunther and laughed as he had blades of grass in his thick black fur. She laid back with a huff. She laughed and sat up. ''Come on Gunther! Lets go to the store to get you some dog food and a leash and a collar.'' she said. Getting up she went to the back door and waited for him
Gunther
Gunther turned his head to watch Morgan when she went into the house before turning his attention back to the ground. There weren't any exciting scents but he looked as thought he was onto something. Finally when Morgan emerged from the house he stopped and turned to face her. By now he was on the opposite side of the large yard. Hearing her voice as it echoed across the yard, he perked up and ran back to her. In a collection of easy strides he was by her side again. His tongue was hanging out of his mouth in a messy pant. He followed her to the back door, where he then stopped and waited for her to continue.
Morgan Rite
She went in, closing the door behind them both. She got the rope leash and slipped it over his head and onto his neck. She led him out to her truck and let him in and then herself got in. She started the truck and drove to the pet store. She got out getting Gunther. She went in. She walked around and found a collar. She bent down and sized it around Gunthers neck. She found that it was just a little big. She then found one that you could stick two fingers in the collar. She knew that was the one she wanted. She then found a leash that was a retractable one. She found one in black and got that one. She then went to where they had the dog food and treats. She took some ' Ol' Roy' and some of their treats by the same company. She went to the check out and then went to her truck. She let Gunther in and then out the dog food and treats in the very back. She held the leash and collar in hand. Driving back she then let him out and got out herslef. They went in and she sat on the couch.
Gunther
Gunther loved going for car rides, as probably any sane dog would. He knew immediately when she slipped the rope over his head that they were going somewhere and it made him especially wiggly. He happily panted the entire way to the truck and then some once he was inside. They reached the store in seemingly no time, where Morgan allowed him to once again jump from the truck. His eyes looked around him, taking it all in. He'd never actually been inside a store before. He always thought they were strictly for the humans. Sniffing the air as they walked inside, he picked up the scents of many things. He could smell the food and treats of numerous creatures, the plastic and fabric of the new collars and leashes, and especially the scents of other dogs who may have come in with their owners.
Their first stop was the collars and leashes. He looked at each of these with a knowing look, recognizing them instantly. He figured any of those were better than this rope he was wearing. He sat quietly as she fitted him for a collar. Then she picked one out, along with a new leash, and they were off to another part of the store.
When they made a stop at the food aisle, he sat and stared at each bag. He knew there was food in them-- he could smell it, and it made him very hungry since he didn't eat earlier. He then followed her to check the items out and finally back out to the truck. He jumped back inside and they were off.
Back at the house, he was once again let out. Landing on the ground with a gruff snort, he began to sniff the ground again on the way to the house. He didn't feel like laying on the couch again. Instead he wanted food. He turned straight for his bowls and then began to hungrily inhale the contents. It didn't take him long to finish. Once he was, he moved to the water next. It didn't stand a chance as he lapped it up, washing down the food with big gulps.
Morgan Rite
Morgan laughed a little as she could see him from the couch. She watched and then got up going to the fridge. She looked through it ''Nothing to eat'' she whispered to herself. She then looked in the pantry. Yes! A can of Ravioli! She then set the can on the counter and went to the cabinet and got a bowl for her. She then opened the can and poured it in the bowl. She put it in the microwave for about 1 minute. She then got the bowl and rushed over to the couch. The bowl was hot! She set it on the coffee table. Going back she got a spoon. She came back and sat on the floor. She ate it with hungry bites
Gunther
Gunther was just finishing up his water when Morgan began her search for something to eat. He had splashes of water all over the floor surrounding his bowl, as though someone had dropped a flopping fish in it. He bent his neck down and licked the floor up before running his tongue over his mouth. That was pretty tasty-- but what was that? He could smell something else. He looked out into the living room to see Morgan sitting there with her own bowl of food. With his big ears pricked forward, he trotted out into the other room and took a seat by her on the floor. He always thought the humans had some pretty good-smelling meals, even though his previous humans would never think of spoiling him with table scraps. Despite his past experiences with this, he stared at her with a sort of longing in his eyes.
Morgan Rite
She looked down at him. ''Alright, come on'' she said. Getting up she put some of her own food in his food bowl. She then set her bowl in the sink after giving him the rest. She smiled ''Dont expect it all the time now'' she said going and sitting on the couch, putting her feet up on the couch near her. She looked at Gunther and then got the remote. She turned the TV on and flipped through finding Animal Planet and then looked at Gunther then back at the TV.
Gunther
Gunther continued to look at her up until she spoke a few of her human words and got up. Turning his head to watch her, he realized that she was headed for his bowl! He quickly got out of his sitting position and practically ran into the kitchen, skidding slightly across the floor and coming to a stop before his dish. He stuck his face into the ravioli and munched away. For a brief moment he was in some kind of food heaven. he even made sure to lick his bowl entirely clean; no spot of sauce was left. Now he was really licking his chops but he knew there was none left. He walked back into the living room as she turned the TV on and plopped down on the floor in front of it. Resting on his belly, he stretched his forelegs out and looked around. He was still licking his mouth. There was red sauce all over it!
Morgan Rite
She laughed at his reaction. Her past dogs were always spoiled rotten cause of her. She had always fed them scraps from her meals after she was done. But she also fed them dog food. She looked at the TV and that was when the door bell rang once again. She moaned and got up from her comfortable position. She looked out the back door and realized it was night. ''Wow, night already'' she said. She opened the door and let Jason in. She plopped back down on the couch and looked at him ''Find a job yet?'' she asked
''No'' he said
''you were supposed to'' she said getting angry.
''No one would take me yet''
Yes, yet. Jason, yet!!'' she yelled at him.
''Morgan its not my fault they wont take me!'' he raised his voice slightly.
''You should try harder then!!'' she yelled ''Go sleep in my room. Im sleeping on the couch this time'' she said her voice softer.
He took his stuff and went back to her room. She started pulling out the couch bed.
Gunther
Gunther had lowered his head to rest it on his forelegs. His eyelids were beginning to droop. He didn't even have to look outside to know it was dark out-- he could feel it. Heaving a deep sigh he began to doze off... Suddenly something awoke him with a startle, causing him to immediately sit up. He looked to the source: the doorbell. Alert, he watched as Morgan opened the door to reveal the man from earlier. He could tell something was up by the tone of Morgan's voice and it made his fur stand on end. He was on his paws in a flash when she began yelling as he growled deeply in his chest. He wasn't sure what was wrong. He could tell though that Morgan was not very happy. The man headed back into the house to a room Gunther did not know. Snorting lightly, he looked back to the girl. He lowered back down onto his belly as he calmed, resting his head once again on his forelegs.
Morgan Rite
She sat back down and thought about what she was going to do about Jason, her current boyfriend, for now. She shook her head and looked to where he had disappeared. She felt like screaming right now. When Gunther had started growling she knew he knew that something was up. She laid on the couch bed. It was big enough for two people plus an animal. She knew if Gunther got on he would have enough space and so would she. She watched tv and took her phone out. She checked her text messages and replied to her friend
;;no hes here and im on the couch bed cause of him he got me pissed and Gunther, my new dog helped me;; Morgan Rite
Oh, sorry. If I was you I would slap the crap out of him. Hannah Sonya
;;I would, but I cant;; Morgan Rite
Ok, ill text you tomorrow when I wake up. Hannah Sonya.
;;Ok night;; Morgan Rite
Night. Hannah Sonya
She put her phone up and looked at Gunther and then the TV
Gunther
Gunther was still laying on the floor. He didn't even feel like getting up. He wasn't a lazy dog by any means but even a dog like him needed a break. Even if a big comfy bed was right there. Now he could feel sleep weighing heavy on him. The peaceful darkness was calling to him; dreamland awaited his arrival. Sighing, he rolled onto his side and sprawled out. He stretched his legs out, accompanied by a deep inward breath, before falling limply back to the floor. That was where he stayed. His eyelids slowly drooping, he drifted off to sleep.
Morgan Rite
Morgan had been to up in her thoughts when she fell asleep. What would Morgan do if Jason didnt find a job? More important, what about Gunther? She had promised she wouldnt leave him. Had she really? Or was she just saying that? She was asleep and when she woke up the sun hadnt even come up yet. She looked at the time 6:00AM. She got up and went into the kitchen. She was being very quiet trying not to wake Gunther or Jason. She started to make breakfast with eggs, bacon, milk, and biscuts. She smiled as she started setting the table up.
Gunther
Gunther was probably lucky in the fact that he didn't have to worry about the things that humans had to worry about. He didn't have to find a job despite losing one. Being a full time pet was now his calling. All he must worry about now is that his human never dropped him off in that pound again. He had a nice warm home now, one which he could see himself thoroughly enjoying. Especially now, as he sprawled out on the floor. He was fast asleep when Morgan woke up, although when she went into the kitchen the sounds caused his eyes to flick open. He didn't make any other motions. Instead he drew in a deep content sigh, about to doze off again. As he did, he could smell human food. He hoped that when he got up he would have some of his own soon.
Morgan Rite & Jason Wells
Jason came out of the room. He looked at Gunther and then went to the kitchen.
''Morning, what you making?'' he asked
''Im making breakfast since your broke and Glace is the one supporting me.'' She said. Anger in her voice.
''Sorry, ill try to find a job today'' he said
''When will that be, Jason?!!?'' she yelled.
''Morgan, it will be soon. I promise you it will'' he said.
''Yeah right!! If I end up finding a job before you. Im going to be pissed and I will kick you out until you find a job!!!'' she yelled. She got two plates and put some bacon and eggs on both giving a plate to Jason. She then put the rest of the bacon in Gunther's bowl and she also put the rest of the eggs.
''Thanks.'' he said
''Yeah. Just wish you would find a job!'' she said anger still in her voice. She sat and ate her breakfast and watched Jason leave to go find a job.
Gunther
Gunther was finally stirring as Jason walked through the room, although he stayed there for a while longer. Finally feeling his limbs grow restless he sat up and used his hind leg to scratch at an itch on his neck. Then the sound of raised voices reached his ears again, causing him to quickly look back into the kitchen. He wondered if it was going to be a regular thing. He could feel the instability between the two humans and it put him on edge. As soon as it began it seemed to be over, and Gunther was walking into the kitchen. He was pleasantly surprised when he peered down into his bowl and saw the remains of the bacon and eggs. He began chewing the food loudly and once it was all gone, licked the leftover bits off of the bowl. He heard Jason leave again and looked up. Turning to Morgan, he snorted and simply stared up at her, wondering what they were going to do now.
Morgan Rite
Morgan looked at Gunther. She could see the wonder in his eyes. ''I dont know, Gunther. I dont know what to do'' she said. She looked to the door. ''Come on'' she said. She got his collar and leash. She hooked the collar around his neck and then hooked the leash to the collar. She went out the door. Not going to the truck this time. She went towards the Lake. Walking
Gunther
The black dog's ears flicked when she spoke to him. He stood up quickly as she hooked the collar around his neck and then attached the leash. Where were they going? Panting, he followed her out the door but made an effort to go toward the truck. He soon found out that wasn't the case and walked with her to the lake.
