Cherokee Herz

Cherokee had spent the last year and a half living on these streets. She had gotten accustomed to them very well, she knew every place that she could sleep that was warm and also she had places where she could shower and everything. Though, other than that she was just on the streets constantly.

And today was no different. She walked along the streets with seemingly not a care in the world, though she really was alert for anything out of the ordinary. She was always alert, she had to be when she lived the way that she did.

She went to the playground where she spent a lot of her time and sat down on a swing, pulling her thin jacket that had seen it's better days around her body to try to keep out the cold wind.

Betrayer

Betrayer was in a knocked over trash can in the park. When he emerged he had a half eaten hot dog in his mouth which he ate fast. The corgi Aussie mix then watched the girl sit on a swing. maybe she had treats? So tail over his back he moved toward and sat down in front of her and whined. Giving her the puppy eyes.

Cherokee had come in to contact with one other dog since she had been alive, she had not really been around dogs much. The one dog she had come in to contact with had been a good dog, but he had strayed off not long after coming in to contact with her and she did not know where he had gone. As she sat on this swing, she spotted a small dog in the trash can and she watched him intently as he came out with a half eaten hot dog.

Then he made his way over to sit in front of her and she looked down to him as she stopped her slow swinging so that she would not kick him. She still was not sure about dogs, but she was not afraid of them. He seemed to be begging her for food and she spoke. I'm sorry, I don't have anything for you. She was lucky to find enough food for herself right now.

Betrayer

Betrayer of course couldn't understand her so when she just stared at him and made human noises he ran in a circle and jumped as if that would make her give him food. Then he sat back down again before standing on his hind legs and hoping toward her. His tail wagging.

Cherokee had to laugh at the small dog's antics as he ran and jumped around. He was a cute dog, and he definately had personality. As he hopped towards her she reached in her pocket and felt for anything. She found a piece of candy that she had gotten from one of the local families a couple of nights ago when a lot of kids were going door to door getting candy. She unwrapped it and tossed it to the dog.

Betrayer

He caught the thing in his mouth and ate it. He then fell back on his feet and placed his head in her lap if he could reach.

Cherokee smiled to the dog as he ate the candy and then placed his head on her lap. She lowered one hand from where they were crossed over her chest and stroked the dog's head.

Betrayer

Betrayer closed his eyes as she strtoked him. He yawned as well.
