Deliah

While enemies are hating
When they don't even know
You can see right through them
Than you wonder...

Deliah was walking down the sidewalk her sketchbook in hand. She had just returned from the corrals where her horse and foal were. She had been drawing them, and she had taken some lessons, so she had a little artisticness in it. Her light brown hair, that was blond at the end hung loosely at her shoulders. She had on a blue sweater, blue jeans, and a black jacket. Around her neck hung a half broken heart pendent. The other half was with her younger brother. This was only they had left of their parents, other than a photo in each locket. Her's had her father's pic in it. She had been a daddy's girl. Looking both ways she crossed the street quickly, holding her sketchbook in both hands to her chest for some of the paper was loosely held in the notebook, and the wind was blowing, as she continued on her way. Emerald orbs looking around now and then.

Whether to stab the knife
Right through their hearts
Cause they hurt you
But you fear it might kill you...

Ellis

He had just gotten off the job and was heading home. He still had a bit of black grease on his hands, clothes and even his face from working at the shop. He wore the typical T-shirt, bulky mechanic pants gathered around his waist, boots and a trucker hat. Without looking both ways like every mother taught her child, he simply rushed across the street, accidentally bumping into Deliah. "Sorry, miss." He said. He was forced to stop between the lanes, though, when the traffic grew thicker. "I hate rush hour..." He mumbled to himself.

Deliah

Deliah wasn't paying attention in that direction either, so she was successfully bumped by Ellis. A page fell out of her sketchbook to land on the ground by her foot. It was a drawing of Shadow Wing her horse. She bent down to pick it up, and once she got it she put it back. "It's alright." She said looking at him for the first time. As usual her easy go smile was on her face as she took in the stranger's features. Mechanic she figured to herself once she saw his attire and grease. She had to stop herself as she waited for the traffic to ease. As usual she attempted to make small talk with the stranger. "Tough day?" Her voice was sweet and polite, only raised when she was really angry. Which almost never happened. She questioned him when he spoke of hating rush hour.

Ellis

Ellis glanced down at the drawing. A horse. Horses were awesome. Nick teased him about his obsession with horses, but he still wanted a horse. "Nice picture. You got a horse?" He said in his typical thick southern accent. He glanced back at the traffic for a moment, then looked back at Deliah. "Heh..." He said with a shrug and a charming smile, "What day isn't?" He tended to be more of an optimist, making the best out of what he could.

Deliah

Deliah smiled at his compliment. "Thanks. Yeah, Shadow Wing, and her colt Demon." When it seemed the traffic hadn't slowed down, he spoke to her again. "Good days I suppose." She spoke with a light smile still on her face. Normally strangers didn't talk much back to her, but he did and it made her wonder why. She wasn't cautious about everything, so she soon dismissed her suspicion thinking he was just nice. She looked back to the traffic, wondering how much longer it would be. She knew her brother and the others would worry if she wasn't back by dark, even though she was a grown woman. No matter how much she argued with them, they still worried over her like she was defenseless. Maybe i'll be late for the fun of it. Turning back to Ellis she spoke softly in her usual tone of lyrics. "My names Deliah." She didn't ask for his name, for she knew some people didn't like giving their names. She wouldn't begrudge him if he didn't.
