Leo

Leo was walking with his best friend Chita. Yeah usually bestfriends are two legged or canine, but not this time nope. His best friend was a cheetah that almost never left his side. A smile usually always on his face Leo had decided to take a walk downtown, and as usual Chita was with him right now. A friend and protector Jake had called him that to Leo, but Leo didn't mind one bit. One thing he had tried to stop, but couldn't was resention to his brother's new wife. Sure he had been okay with Crystal as his brother's friend, but now he didn't like being around her. Oh well looking around he continued to walk Chita hopefully by his side, and not getting into any trouble.

Chita

Chita was right at his side. He had the king cheetah pattern which was caused by the mating of two closley related cheetahs. so most likely his mother and father were probably brother and sister. But other then the coat mutation style he was a cheetah. His claws did not fully retracted like all cheetahs. He easily kept up with Leo. His long tail flicking every now and then. He was also purring one thing that cheetah's were known for being the only big cat to truely purr.

Portia

Portia walked around she had just moved in and was exploring. She had her young lamb Fontra, at her side. As she passed people turned to stare. She had a sheep in the city. She didn't like people much. Infact she wished that she could be a animal like her dogs and goat. She bent down to pet her goat when she noticed a cheetah ahead. She looked in aw. She would kill for a cheetah. But it isn't right to keep animals like that. Or at least in her mind it wasn't. Plus she would need a permit. She continued to walk.

Fontra

Fontra trotted along with Portia. She took in the sites of the city as they went. Every once in a while she would let out oa little baa to tell Portia to let her know to slow down. She walked with a silver colored leash and a black collar around her lil' neck. She noticed Portia looking at some thing and turned to look. A Cheetah was right ahead. She knowing Portia started to panick. She didn't want to go near that thing. She played a little game of "tug'o'war" on her leash.

Leo

Leo was still walking when he heard a baaa sort of sound. Stopping he turned around to see Fontra a baby sheep. A grin came on his face when he saw the pretty coloring. Still nothing could match Chita'a handsome coat. Now he knew Chita had been trained not to attack unless commanded, and Leo always fed him before they left to go somewhere he still kept a eye just in case. As Portia came closer he saw the sheep start to play tug of war kind of. "Fiesty little thing huh? Don't worry i doubt Chita will hurt her, and if he tries i'll restrain him"he said trying to assure the woman. The 17 year old boy reached his hand down to stroke Chita's head hearing the cheetah purr. How he would restrain the cheetah was that he had some fresh cut up meat in his pocket that would turn Chita's attention away from the sheep.

Chita

Chita was full luckily though his instincts did proud at him as he saw the sheep. He became silent and his tail flicked but he stayed by Leo's side and licked his chops. His eyes stayed on the sheep.

Portia

Portia noticed her lambs sudden violent pulling on the leash. she bent down and tried to calm her down. She looked up at leo as he patted his Cheetah on the head. "Can I pet him?" She said her voice was quite. She wasn't a out going person. She perfered to stay in side her home or on her farm with her animals. She looked at the beautiful king Cheetah. She would be able to get a Cheetah as soon as she got her permit. She was 18 and in college. She was training to be a Wild Life Bioligest. She picked up the lamb and stood.

Fontra

Fontra watched as they came closer to the cat. She struggled more and more. Finally Portia had to bend down and pat her to calm her down. She felt the ground drop away from under her as Portia Picked her up. She continued to make noise. The humans walking around them stared as they passed.

Leo

Leo smiled as Portia came closer with the lamb. "Sure,"he answered her question, and he moved his hand down to Chita's shoulder. So long as he was near Chita he figured the king cheetah would allow the girl to pet him. "I'm Leo Hills by the way,"he said speaking clamly. He ignored the people watching him because it didn't matter to him. After all he usually got stares like these when he was with Chita.

Chita

He stood by leo unsure of this women and her delicious looking lamb. He stood there and felt leo's hand on his shoulder so stood still.

Portia

Portia put her lamb down and began to message the Cheetahs head. She spoke in soft words "He's beautiful. I never thought I would ever get to see a King Cheetah with my own eyes. Well I mean not on t.v. heh heh..." She smiled. His fur was warm and soft under her hands. She stood back up.

Fontra

Portia set the young lamb down on the hard concrete. Fontra ran behind her and tried to wiggle away. After a while Fontra slowly came out from behind her Human. The cat hadn't eaten her yet. She walked up to it and sniffed it. Maybe it wasn't going to eat her if she got any were near it. She jumped back expecting a blow.

Chita

Chita let her rub his head and then the lamb came forward and he lashed out quickly with a paw. Even if he wasn't hungry he could save it for later. His tail flicked and he lowered his body a bit in a pounce postion and attempted to pounce on the lamb claws and teeth aime for it.

Leo

Leo was keeping a close eye on Chita as the woman came forth to pet him. "Yeah its quite exciting to see one up close,"he said softly. Eyes followed the lamb as it came forth silently to sniff the kind cheetah. When the cheetah slashed out he shot his hand out to take the cut blood scratches appearing on his arm. His arm instantly encircling around the king cheetah's neck softly, but firmly to restrict him from attacking. "Sorry about that. The best way to keep a predator like him from attacking is training the cub, and even then sometimes it dosen't work. Anyways he was caught wild,"he said to the woman to reassure her.

Portia

Portia quickly grabbed the lamb. She gave it quick little tapps on its nose. She wiggled trying to get free as Portia scolded it. "I'm so sorry." She said. "My names Portia its nice to meet you by the way..." She smiled and held the lamb in one arm barley managing to keep it from falling.

Fontra

Fontra had jumped back just in time and tried to run. When Portia picked her up she belted out over and over never stopping. Why wasn't Portia running!? The cat had just tried to kill her! She suddenly felt gentle tapps hiting her nose repetedly. She knew that was a scolding. She hadn't done any thing wrong. Maybe approching the Cheetah wasn't the brightest thing but still she didn't need the scolding to follow.

Chita

Chita wouldn't attack a human but prey was another thing. He growled as leo took the scratches and then wrapped his arms around his neck. If he wanted to he could easilly get away but he just growled and then started purring nd rubbing up against leo. His claws retracted as far as they could go the tips still out due to beign a cheetah.

Leo

Leo looked at the scratches, but simply ignored them other than that he ignored them. After all he had worse than that. He tried to sooth the king cheetah. Taking out a peice of meet to sooth Chita with. He attepted to feed him a piece of meat that he had in his pocket.

Nolie

A white figure appeared comeing out of a ally way. It moved closer to the humans and their pets. a soft chuckle rang in the lamb and Cheetahs ears. The Female Cheetah came up to them her ears laid back and was read to pounce and dash away if needed. Nolies soft white pelt was specled and striped with grey king Cheetah markings. "tsk tsk tsk, I see a lamb on a leash... and... is that a cheetah?" She smirked "What happened here? Did the humans getchya tounge." She laughed at the terrible joke. Her voice was made to earatate the other Cheetah.

Portia

Portia saw the scratchs on his arm. "Are you ok? She asked. She felt some thing brush past and saw the Cheetah. She froze, this wasn't good. Unlike the Cheetah she had just pet this one wasn't tamed. She held the lamb close and tightly. She seemed to hold her breath. But it soon passed when it sat down and faced the cheetah. Now the problem was for the Cheetahs owner Leo.

Fontra

Fontra started to freak out. Her legs began to kick every were. "NO! NOT ANOTHER ONE!" She screamed "DON'T COME ANY WERE NEAR US! MY HUMAN HAS A WEAPON!" She screamed pointing her hoove to a knife tucked in her shoe.

Chita

Chita grabbed the meat and devoured it and then hissed at the female cheetah.Wanna say that to my face?He spoke his fur bristling and his tail flicking.

Leo

Leo smiled at Portia. "Yeah i'm fine its just some scr...,"he trailed off when he saw the other cheetah. His hand when to a tranquilizer in his shirt pocket that he carried with him. He would let Chita try to handle this one, but one wrong move and he'll put the female cheetah to sleep till he got her to another location, or even back home where he could put her in a large cage till she calmed down.

Nolie

Nolie relized the male human reach for some thing in his pocket. By the looks of it it wasn't food. Her hair stood on end and she hissed. "I'm sorry I don't have time for kittens like you" She hissed and began to back up. Humans have shot at her before. She knew a gun when she saw one.

Portia

Portia relized that he had some thing in his pocket. "If thats a gun I don't alow if its a dart then take a shot..." Her voice was scattered and showed that she was some what afraid. When the cat reacted to his darter she giggled a little. She clenched the lamb tighter and tighter not willing to let go of it.

Fontra

Fontra 'smiled' when the cheetah began to back away. Her struggling ceaced but her breath was taken away when Portia squized her. She let out a screaching baa and Portia lightned up.

Chita

He snorted.The only kitten i see is youHe growled so wanting to run at her. He waited another moment before charging her. He wasn't gonna let this female push him around just cause he was living with humans. he was born in the wild and just found it easier to live with humans.

Nolie

Nolie backed up. When he charged her she filled with rage. She charged towards him bitting into his shoulder.

Leo

Leo watched silently nodding his head to Portia. As the female charged he shot one for the right shoulder, and another for the left shoulder. He stood there reloading waiting for another chance if needed. He was going to keep this cheetah if he got it.

Portia – Fontra

Portia gasped as the cat grabbed onto the other one. She put her lamb down and reached for her knife, just in case. Fontra backed away and watched wide eyed. She backed up three steps avoiding the cat.

Nolie

Nolie felt some thing prick her side and released. She turned and started to run but some thing in her wasn't working. She felt sleepy and collapsed on the side walk.

Chita

Chita had watched her every move and had easily dodged the others bite and aimed a claw for her face and then she tried to run. He now stood there growling his tail flicking.

Leo

Leo walked over to where the female cheetah lay. Silently he picked her up in his arms, muscles flexing under the weight. He looked to Chita before turning his gaze to Portia. "It seems i'm going to have to teach this cheetah some lessons. Would you like to come back with me, and meet the rest of the felines,"he asked refering to the two mothers and their babies that were there. Not to mention he was having some transported that should arrive today.

Portia – Fontra

"Sure!" Portias usally gloomy face brightened at the thought of getting close to these cats "I should probably drop of Fontra though..." She looked down at the tramatized lamb. Fontra Froze just as the cats attacked each other. After it all she remained still and shakey.
