Stengarde

What happens to someone when everything they have ever loved. Ever known slowly begins to dissapear? What happens to us when the things we have always held most dear to our hearts is torn away never to be given back? SOmetimes you can't stand the loss and you begin to rot away, not pysically but mentally and in your heart. You remeber all the wondefull times and all the hard times. You remember the times when you were afraid of losing something so very important to you you think you would just DIe if it was taken away, the times when you were so excited about getting somthing that you nearly wet your pants just thinking about it. then there are the times when you cried your eyes out over what seems to be the worst dissaster of your life, only to look back at it later and realize that it was really nothing that bad. And then come the times when it really was that bad, when you feel like even the world herself is holding her breath waiting for something to happen, and you just sit in a corner and sry and cry. Those times are times when you need someone to lean on, but what if you don't have that person. Suddenly you are brought back form all those memories and you find yourself seemmingly alone in the world. You look around for someone to hug and comfort you, but you find none. What then?

Then again some people just hold their breath blink a few times and then walk away. Away from their troubles, away from the past, away from the sadness. They leave it behind like a dying or maybe even dead memory left to float in the clouds of our lives forevermore. And then there are those that decide to run. Run from the truth, from the sadness, from the challenge of a true life. They run from their past thinking they will be able to get away but don't realize that all they are doing is prolonging the pain. And then, after all, there are always the ones that can stand that pain. They can have it engulf them, in pain, sadness, loss, and overall suffering. They can lose all they have ever known and love and still be able to go on with their lives.

Stengarde, she used to think of herself as a strong and powerful dog, with dreams, and a path to greatness. She had been born into a harsh world, in the midst of a war. Her mother was an alpha in the land, left alone to control a pack of bloodthirsty warriors in a large and overpupolated human city. Her father had fled in an attempt to save his own life, forgetting about the family he was leaving behind. From that moment on Stengarde had known she was going to have trouble fitting in with the pack. She grew up, the only female, besides her mother, in a litter of 12. She had grown to be such a tomboy, she had grown a tolerance for any fighting and any blows made to her beautiful body. Her fur was fluffy and delicate and groomed to perfection, and she always seemed to be shining like a true star. She was now a nearly full grown teenage dog that had lost her mother. Her mother had been killed in a fight 3 years ago. So, Stengarde left her masculine based family behind and set off to explore the world. Lost. Love. Family. Security. Soon she began to feel very lonely, she howled at night and cried herself to sleep on most. She had found that sometimes in her sleep she would call out fot her lost family and loves.

Over time she had grown to the shell she was now. Hidden in her own protective little castle, not letting love in, not letting love nor even hope out. She was on her own in her eyes. She was just another dog in the world, nothing more, nothing less. She was just there. And as she walked along the streets she looked back on those horrid days. From time to time looking at her own pathetic reflection in the scattered puddles.

Sarah

Sarah was still on the run. How long had she been hiding in the shadows, sleeping in rundown motels to hiding from those blasted cops? Sarah was afraid, she had been caught for almost murdering some guy that raped her sister, and then she broke out of prison. How long could she get into jail for now? Double of the original sentence. Sarah was tired, and she was ready to take her life away.

Sarah had wandered down the shadowed streets, her rag-tag cloths made her blend in with the other imagrints and hobos, she wasn't drawing much attention to herself. Sarah stopped at a step, sitting down and burying her face in her hands, sobbing. The tears flowed down like a river, and wouldn't discontinue. Sarah stopped, taking a deep breath. She needed a new start. Her cousin said he could break into social security and clear her criminal record, or start a new file, like Witness Protection. Sarah wanted that, but she wanted to be Sarah McGillian, the junior soccer star.

Stop wishing. Your a criminal, get that threw you damn mind! Sarah though bluntly to herself, standing up and walking away.

The melted-snow puddles splashed under her once-white-now-brown sneakers. Stopping by a dumpster, Sarah stopped and take a breath. Sarah had become so insecure and skittish, any person who approached her could be a cop. Snow fell from the sky softly, chilling Sarah. It was so cold, and Sarah needed to find a motel soon. Or maybe that kind, old woman again. Sarah shrugged, it would probably be another night sleeping in a old alley.

Sarah just stood there, tears once again filling her eyes. Suicide would be a nice thing...

Stangarde

Stengarde continued walking along the streets. SHe was tired of living like this. She had no porpuse any more and the light had left her eyes. She began to run through the streets. Each pawstep sent wet splashes flying in all directions. The rain began to grow harder, steadier. HEr furr grew damo and rather muddy.

Stengarde rounded a corner with great speed. She saw the large fence coming towards her and tried to stop but ended up sliding on the slick wet ground. She soon smacked straight into the wire fencing. It let out a defening metalic crash and she ended up bouncing back and sliding back out into the middle of the strreet. It was there she remained motionless on her back staring at the sky,

Ow. God damnit

Sarah

Sarah heard the crash, and her heart skipped a beat. At first, she thought it was the cops. Sarah took a breath, looking up at the blacktop street. God, its just a rangy mutt. Yet a sudden flush of compassion flowed threw her. Sarah took a deep breath, afraid of stepping out into the middle of the street.

Sarah was around ten feet away from Sengarde, kneeling down. The night swirled around here. "Hey, dog." Sarah called out, in the best voice she could. It was ridged, and gruff...but kind enough.

Stengarde

Stengarde shook her head followed by the rest of her body and finally her tail as she stood back up.

She looked around at her surroundings her head was spinning. She looked into an alley not far off and saw 4, no 3, no 4, no 2? people kneeling on the ground and facing her. She walked towards them, her, them.. ugh. When she had reached her destination she sat down an looked up at the ... many .. faces with an attempted but failing miserably smile on her face.

Sarah

Sarah didn't understand, but the dog look hurt, dizzy, whatever you called it! Sarah reached down to touch the animal, hoping to calm it. Maybe it should see those free vets at Woodland farms... Sarah though, pausing. It was a good idea, the people were always willing to help a animal in need. "Hello..."
