Alex
She led Klawz to the dog pound. The barking she ignored but as soon as a dog sapped at her she turned. ''Listen her, Lulu! you snap at me one more time and i will act hurt and the humans will put you down!'' she hissed and left the dog standing there as she walked towards the box's she had let the humans make for her. ''Here is where i live. The upwalkers made it for me and theyve left me alone since then. I come and go when i want. Your welcome to stay with me or I can come with you? Im kinda getting tired of the dogs snapping at me all the while.'' she said and smiled. She slipped in the box's and came out with meat. the dogs started going crazy. ''Though its funny to see them go crazy when I eat.'' she said. A human came in and she hissed. ''Come on we have to go now!'' she hissed and disappeared into her home.
Klawz
Klawz grinned at how Alex controlled the dogs. It was different. Seeing a dog being afraid of a cat. Well, he supposed, It was quite an effective threat! His eyes widened as she brought out the meat, then they opened even more with the urgency in her voice. Klawz slipped into the box and watched from the darkness. The smell of meat was overpowering though, and he tentatively took a nibble. Too little. He took a whole bite and licked his chops. Mm. Lovely. Where'd you get it? he asked and tilted his head at Alex. In answer to her question he mumbled; We can stay here for a bit, and once we've got out strength up we can maybe go out and explore the wild? Klawz took another little bite off the hunk of meat, and waited for the other cat's answer.
Alex
She looked at him. ''And what do you suppose we do?'' she asked. She went out and slipped in with more meat. ''I can get meat anytime I want, theres a up walker who gives me it every time im here. I just save meat so when I need it. I eat it.'' She said. Taking a bite of meat she tossed a piece to Klawz. ''Did it surprise you by how much control I had over the dogs?'' she asked. She then bit another bite off and swallowed it. She looked at him as her eyes adjusted to the dark. She smiled as she waited an answer from him
Klawz
Klawz shrugged and curled up, his whiskers twitching even though he was comfortable in Alex's company. He took a small bite from the meat which made him drowsy. His eyelids started to grow heavy and he blinked hard. With half-closed eyes, he looked up at Alex when she asked. He gave a half-hearted nod and blinked again, heavily. "Night," he murmured, slipping off into a restful sleep, not at all disturbed by the fact that he could be being watched by thousands of eyes right now...
Alex
She nodded and laid down near him. Not to close though. It was getting to be dark outside and cold. She was just close enough to feel heat from his bodice. She drifted into a sleep and dreamed about the day ahead of them. She twitched in her sleep. Not used to sleeping at the dog pound. She only came here when she needed shelter. She shivered and once she woke up she found her self right next to him.
Klawzz
Klawz is bolting through a dark tunnel. A never-ending tunnel. He can't even see the light at the other end. He's starting to lose hope that there is an end. Just then a shadow darts in front of him and he skids to a halt. The shadow turns. He sees cold, orange eyes. A high-pitched wail arises from the gloom. It is ripping his souls apart, turning him insane from the inside...
Klawz jolted awake and bolted upright, sweating, to find himself moaning not-understandable words. He shook the dream off and his gaze floated down to Alex. She looked pretty while she slept... He tore his eyes away and suddenly remembered where he was. It felt eerily quiet, without all the dogs barking and making a dizzying racket. With the dream in the back of his mind, Klawz lay back down and, once again, slipped into his sleep, though less restful and more troubled by the memory of the dream.
Alex
Alex was walking through her old home. A forest. She was walking with some cats and they were calling her Lake for some reason. She kept telling them to call her Alex. She was then running from them...
Her eyes shot open. She lifted her head and shook the dream from her mind. She looked at Klawz. She sensed he had just fallen back asleep. She looked at the entrance as the lights were turned on in the Dog Pound. She buried her head in her paws at the light. She tried to close her ears from the barking. The humans had just woken up all the dogs ''Dang humans'' she mumbled to herself
Klawz
Klawz awoke to the bright lights, and immediately shut his eyes tight again. He sensed Alex was awake too, but didn't hear her cursing. "Oh, morning." he groaned and dared to open his eyes. For a moment it was blinding, then it became normal and he nudged Alex. "Just face it for a second and you'll be fine." He yawned and rolled onto his back, staring absentmindedly at the box's roof. "Ready for a trip to the wild?" he asked, trying to stifle his impatience. It could wait. Alex needed time to adjust. And get supplies. he told himself. But really he was anxious to get on the move, so they could make lots of progress before sunset.
Alex
Alex lifted her head and blinked her eyes. ''Sure, where do you want to start?'' she asked as she got up and slipped out of the box's. Yet another, different dog snapped at her. She whipped around and hissed ''Do it again new dog and Ill be clawing your ears off!'' she hissed. She turned leaving the new dog there but looking back as she waited for Klawz.
