Skye
An array of cold metal bars crossed in front of its face as the dog lowered its head, possibly out of some sort of shame or guilt, even if it had nothing to be ashamed of. This dog's name was Skye and she was now a pound puppy, forever doomed to live out her days in these cold cramped living quarters without so much as an inch of privacy. She was dropped off rather recently; only about a week ago to be more exact, and it was as obvious to a dog as it could be that she wasn't getting out. She was doomed. Doomed.
In a room full of fellow canines, she was utterly alone. She had to compete with the others just to get any attention whatsoever, and it wasn't right. Some random human would come, fill her bowls, maybe give her a pat, and then leave to do whatever they did. Her little toys, meant to bring her some kind of joy and contentment, sat there and collected dust.
Skye was cleared a few days ago to be put up for adoption, so she had been moved to the front, where she could see everyone that walked in. They seemed to pass her without care. Her stunning blue eyes peering up from those bars seemingly unfazed them.
With a disgruntled snort, she plopped her body down on her small mat and placed her head on her fore legs. Boredom, such an unpleasant experience for her was once again setting in.
Randi
The coppery coloured wolfhound circled in his miniscule cage. How long would it be before he would get out of here? Randi made people apparent of his wolf side with a long, deep howl from his cage. The young male wanted out, and now! As he caught the scent of a human, his hopes began to rise. If he wanted out he knew he would have to stop acting like a wolf, Rand set himself up tall and proud. An arched necked and glossy coat gave him an even more powerful look. As every canine did, he hated this place. No chances to show off his dominance to the other males, or interact with the females. His wolf like eyes watched the opening to his cage, waiting for the human to come and rescue him from this hell.
Jonathan & *humans*
The guy walked in and spotted a border collie. He bent down ''Hi girl, I bet you and a couple dogs would love to come home with me.'' he said and stood up. A couple cages down was a wolfhound. He went over and bent down ''Want to come home with me?" he asked
He stood up and went to the counter "Id like the border collie there and the wolfhound there" he said and waited for the papers.
"Ok just sign these papers and you may have them" the man said. Jonathan signed the papers
Randi
The coppery male barked in answer to the man’s question. Perhaps his luck was turning, if this was to be his owner Randi was a canine he could count on. Courtesy of his wolf side he would be a loyal guard dog if necessary, anything he wanted. Rand’s amber eyes danced across the area in front of him. In excitement he let out another chorus of howls, at the thought of a fresh start it seemed like a necessity. Randi’s coat was now glossed with dust as he moved around; a pocket of dust had been stored under his blanket.
Jonathan
Jonathan took the paper work back and went over to the wolfhound. He read his paper that told about him. ''Well, Randi. Looks like youll be coming home with me if youd like'' He said.
With that he opened the cage and bent down so he could pet him and slip the collar and leash on him. He then led him out of the cage and outside. Before going back in to return the paper work. ''Bet youd like a nice home and bed before doing anything."he said smiling
Randi
The wolfhound obeyed his new owner well, with a bouncy lope he followed. With a howl of agreement to the human’s statement he began to wag his large fluffy tail. With a final look back to the hell he would be leaving, Randi followed his owner sticking close to his side ready to fight and protect if need be.
Jonathan
He smiled walking to his chevy truck, he opened the passenger door to let Randi in. He then closed the door and went around the truck to the drivers side. He climbed in the truck and petted Randi. Starting the truck he back out of his space in the parking lot. He drove to his place down town.
