Asherah
I Will Never Love Again;
Cold, blind, hungry, that¡¯s how this life left the hybrid, that¡¯s how life had slowly crept up on her, rearing it¡¯s ugly head. A couple days after biting someone, had ended up here. Her case had been set on a rapid one, a couple days and she would be at deaths door. She had been a police officers¡¯ loyal companion, and after trying to safe someone, she ends up here alone. Two bullet holes on her side were an indication of her past, they were still fresh, but they weren¡¯t bleeding. The staff didn¡¯t care about her at this point, they considered her a goner already. Only a few would know her story, likely one would want to kill her, but didn¡¯t worry about that right now. She never limped, although the pain was there, she had learned to hide it.
She walked slightly favoring her injured limb, but ignored as much as the pain as possible, lowering her rump the ground as she twitched her skull from side to side, as if she was able to see. The scent in the air was different, the smell of dead dog high in the air, obvious to canines, but not so obviously to humans whose scent is less developed. The wolf hybrid starts to pant, her pink tongue handing slightly from her ajar muzzle, and her lobes twitching. Her one ragged ear was the result of a knife nicking her pinnae to the point where it wasn¡¯t able to be saved. At least one thing was still there, her long fluffed up plume swayed slightly, placed elegantly across her back in a dominant posture.
She knew she wasn¡¯t doing what the humans wanted, she understood her actions may keep her from being adopted, but who cared at this point. Asherah had done her part, it was up to them now. The card on the front of her cage exclaimed ¡° to experienced dog owners only¡±. Well, now wasn¡¯t that a pleasant introduction, along with the wire muzzle that hung from the door of her run. She snorted slightly in amusement as a worker attempted to in to walk her, the muzzle in their hand. The fae started snarling and moving forward, ears erect and body forward. Her plume stood stiff on her hind limbs and she made no attempt to back away. She stepped one foot closer and the guy dropped the muzzle and left the cage in a hurry, placing his back against the cage as if he was having a heart attack. She lowered herself again, obviously amused with herself and grabbed at the bone that was placed in her run.

Jaden
His lip was curled up in disgust. He didn't really want a dog, but he knew it wasn't healthy to not have some sort of a companion. Especially since he was becoming such an ass. He kept losing his cool. He needed to stop that. Plus, a dog didn't talk. He wouldn't have to deal with it whining and bitching. He wandered his way through, finding mutt after mutt. Most of the dogs here were small and wouldn't serve a purpose for him. He needed something big, mean, and scary. That's when he found Asherah. His eyes narrowed as he flipped the pages on her kennel, reading about her.... History. Or rather, lack thereof. He noted the blind gaze, but in that blind gaze he saw defiance. Anger. He liked that. You're a pretty girl, aren't you? He murmured softly. He gave a sharp whistle, and up ran a freckled face kid looking nervous. With good reason. Jaden was about 6'8 and had sun glasses in place. He was a scary looking dude. I want this one. His voice was a low pitch, reminding one of a deadly cobra. Soft and soothing until the intitial strike.
