Lana
What a life I had.
Being rescued from the pound by a loving two-legged alein, living with them for 3 1/2 years. The chew toys, the kibble, the everything.Next thing she knew the alein had come up to her, saying some foreing thing and strapping her diamond studded leash on her.She had been walked and taken here, to this old, steel grey shop. Her master had walken her in,put her in gray bar containment and with one last pat and wet things streaming down its down holes on its face, walked away.
Now of course, Lana expected to be in some kennel, to be picked up the next day or so, but no.She had been in this steel bar thing with dry food and stale water for 2 weeks now.She would poke her long, sable face out of the cage and see some sign the read her name on it. Lana;3 1/2 years;female;rough collie
That's me!Everyday, when the old two legged alein walked by and put the dry food in her cage, and gave her a har dpaton her head, she would whimper to him, telling him she shouldn't be here. But he just shut the cage and walked away. Now, she knew her long time master was gone. She needed a new one...fast.
Shasta, Cole & Annie Wild
The young woman walked into the pound with her teen children behind her. Cole and Annie had always been well behaved. They were like their mother. Shasta had been with Dimitri for a while, but they realized it wouldn't work out. That was only after Shasta got pregnant. And thank God the poor kids weren't like Dimitri. They occasionally had anger problems and Annie had some health issues, but at least they weren't insane. Like their grandfather.
Shasta stopped at Lana's kennel. Rough collie. She had always loved collies. "Come see this one, guys."
Cole began to walk, but noticing that Anne was simply staring out a window, he gently grabbed her arm and guided her over to where their mother was.
"Lana." Annie said, looking at the sign and then down at the dog. "She's cool." She crouched down and held her hand out to the dog. "Come, Lana. Are you a friendly dog?" She knew Lana wouldn't understand her words, but she always had a habit of talking to animals.
Lana
Lana was still in shock from the previous day.As three humans came into the store, a bell making a soft ding overhead, they came to her cage. One of them stuck her hand in, Lana wasn't sure what to do.Nipping wouldn't do any good. She squeezed to the way back of the cage, deciding to just whimper instead, trying to show them her pain and sufferness.
