BRODY
A small bell at the top of the glass window door jingled a small tune when a human pushed their way through. They held onto a short black leash that was wound around their hand, and the other end was attached to the matching collar about a dog's neck. The dog was a German Shepherd, very well proportioned, and with eyes quite lively.
The dog was taken to the counter, where the human, presumably his handler, consulted with another over the counter. The canine set back on his furry haunches, looking up firstly with those dark brown eyes, and then scanning over the new surroundings. He stood for a moment, about to walk away to sniff at some cages a ways off that he just realized contained other dogs, until a tug was given to his leash and he was forced to head the other way. His handler was following the human who apparantly was a worker here, to a single large cage not far from the counter. The door was swung open, his leash was taken off, and he was pushed into the perimeters of the metal bars. He spun instantly, ready to charge back out, but the door was then closed again. What is happening? he thought to himself, tail wagging in a nervous manner as the familiar human gave him one last pat and foriegn word before turning to leave. He watched curiously, but then realized what was going on. He snorted, collapsing on the large pillow-bed in the corner and simply tried to doze off, but lifted his head each time a human went by. Not a single one familiar.
Later, a plate was taken out to his cage and attached to the door. It read:

Griffen He walked with a swagger, this king of the underworld. Black hair, tan skin, blue eyes. He moved so silently, that the man behind the desk never even heard him. Griffen waited for a moment while the clerk was setting some things up before he finally slammed a large hand on the table. The clerk jumped and slammed his head on a shelf, and turned around cursing. When he saw Griffen, he stopped. Mr. Santosa. So... Nice to see you... He knew all about the Italian man and it scared him, the things he had heard. What can I get for you? The man raised his eyebrow. I'm in a dog pound. Obviously, I'm looking for a dog. The clerk nodded nervously. We just got one in, Mr. Santosa. Beautiful german shepherd. Griffen hadn't been looking for a shepherd type, more of a dog that could tear into some one. And Brody... He looked like a much to friendly chap. Griffen wandered a bit, leaving the clerk yammering, but what he saw started to make Brody look like a mountain lion. I'll take him. He said softly. He handed the money over, and then took a leash and snapped it onto the dogs collar carefully. Lets go, Brody. We're gonna go home. Jack and Ripper would toughen the dog up.
BRODY
Brody was already dozing off in his lonely cold cage when the sound of the door caused him to slowly flicker his eyelids open. The two dark brown eyes immediately drifted to the form of a human, this one dark and incredibly loud, as he found out when the hand of said human connected with the table. This even caused the dog to jump, and it only created further controversy with him. So many different two-leggeds to encounter, and this one fit the word quite well, actually. Brody already found the human's behavior to be rather demanding, to say the least.
He silently flashed his fangs without lifting his head to see the human better, instead only keeping his eyes averted. The leash was then snapped on, and before he knew it, dog and human were on their way out, to who knows where.
