Honey

Different colored eyed husky trotted into the pound with the smell of humans rolling through her nostrils. a bark was emitted to catch a humans attention hoping that they would like her...

*Humans*

A human turned suddenly from his walk along the kennels, spotting the dog. From her demeanor, she seemed friendly. He hunched down a bit and patted his hands to his legs, giving a call for her to come closer.

"Here girl, come here." he spoke out, noting that she was a female. He was going to see if she were friendly or not. And if she was, he knew there was a family looking for just a dog like her...

Honey

Canine wagged tail feriously when the man called out to her. she trotted up to him and licked his hand showing him she was nice. He seemed nice also. Her only blue eye scanned the man curiously. She soon felt safe enough to lick the man's face hoping he would like her

*Pound Worker*

He smiled and patted her on the head. Yes, he was sure she could get a home very soon. A family that owned a ranch was looking for another dog; a nice, sweet one after another dog of theirs had been killed.

The man pulled a leash from his pocket, which he usually had incase a dog got loose or, as now, he found another stray. While sweet-talking her, the man tried to get the looped end of the leash around her neck...

Honey

Eyes shone brighty her tail wagged like no other. She willingly put her head through the loop on her own. She sat patiently waiting until he told her when or where to go. Her different colored eyes looked up at the man

*Pound Worker*

He was pleasantly surprised to find how obidient Honey was. After patting her head once more, he tugged lightly on the leash and led her to an empty kennel. After placing a bowl of food and water in, he took her leash off and locked her in. It shouldn't be long before a family comes by to see her.

A dog in the pen beside her presses his snout against the fence that separates them. "Who are you?" he questioned with a tilted head. He was a large wolf and collie mix. He had been in the kennels for a very long time now, mostly due to his attitude towards humans. His brother on the other hand, had been adopted out because of his friendliness.

Honey

Honey ate some of her food then when the male spoke to her she perked her head up "My name is Honey. Who are you?" She asked her sweet voice filled the kennels. Her ears stayed glued to the door of her kennel waiting for anyone to come to her

Mark, Martha, & John

"Honey, that's nice." he replied. "I'm... well, I've been called a lot of names really. My one time friend named me Tommy, but you can call me what ever you want. I don't have any real dubbing." He sat back on his haunches with a sigh.

The family from the Ranch were out searching for a new pet. This one didn't have to be a guard dog. They very deeply missed their young dog Elsa, who was a great family pet that had been killed by wolves. The teenage son, John, soon spotted Honey. "This is her, the one that man called about!" he exclaimed and knelt down infront of her kennel. "You're the sweet one, right?" he crooned, sticking his fingers through the metal loops, hoping she'd come to him.

Mark and Martha, husband and wife, stood behind their son and looked down expectantly at Honey. Martha's face showed kindness and sympathy for Honey, and a twinge of sadness as she remembered their lost Elsa.

Mark had a sterner face, but it wasn't devoid of emotion. Tommy stood at the sight of the humans and began to howl. He rarely barked more than once at a time.

Honey

Honey wagged her tail back and forth then licked at the kennel door. she sat down panting loving the attention of all of the humans. Her head turned towards the male "It's ok" She said calmly but then began to wine to be let out to see them

Mark, Martha, & John

They soon got the attention of a pound worker who came over to open the kennel door. He quickly slipped the looped end of a leash around her neck and handed the handle to John. He beamed down at Honey and scratched behind her ears.

Mark and Marths seemed happy as well, "Why don't you take her for a quick walk?"

John nodded in agreement and tugged gently at the leash to coax her into a walk around the Pound.

Honey

Honey willing walked beside ohn and didn't rush ahead or try to pull away she looked straight ahead. Her tail was wagging the whole time. She was different from the rest of her litter, she was calm, willing and loving to humans. Her brothers and sisters were mean, tough, and hated humans.

Her brown and blue eyes finally looked up at the boy eagerly telling him "I'm the one! Take me home!"

Mark, Martha, & John

By the time he came back around to his parents, he knew he wanted to take Honey home. "She's the one." he announced in a happy tone. As his parents went to sign some papers and what not, John led Honey to their vehicle.

Soon, Mark and Martha got into the vehicle and they drove to the Ranch house.
